Looking to find a new spot to try and saw Super Torta was nearby. Nothing special to look at from the outside but I'm more concerned about the food. We order the carnitas quesadilla, carne asada burrito and sides of rice and beans - to go. Go home in 10 and got to work. The carnitas quesadilla was ok. Pretty greasy but the meat had decent taste. The carne asada burrito was good sized and had good ratio of meat, beans and rice. It tasted alright, decent but nothing special. The inside of the restaurant was pretty basic and only saw people getting their food to go I would come back if I was in this neighborhood but would not go out of my way to come here. read more

Haven't been here since before Covid, and fortunately nothing's changed, I don't even think the prices. Went with a taco trio today, $3@, double tortillas. Hard to pick a favorite between the carne asada and the pastor, with the carnitas coming in 3rd, but all tasty and generous. Friendly and quick service. read more

We ordered takeout, so I have no comments on Ambience or Service. I can say that my fish tacos were truly awful. The lettuce snd crema were fine. I'm on a low carb diet so I didn't plan to eat the tortillas. This place is pretty legit. First time here. I think it took me longer to order the food than it took for them to make it. Which made me kind of nervous to be honest. Thought it would be reheated food. But it wasn't. Got the carne asada burrito and it did not disappoint. It was huge and the carne asada was so flavorful and fresh tasting. I asked for no beans and I was concerned that it would be a small burrito but it almost appeared like they gave me extra meat to compensate. Should've weighed the burrito but I was too hungry. This place needs a good cleaning, some fresh paint, and new decor. If you can get over the not so clean floors and recycle bins over flowing, and eat the food... You'll be please. When trying to a new taqueria I like to keep it simple. I ordered a chard grilled chicken, bean, cheese, and rice burrito. Our food came fast, and smelled great. It wasn't overly flavorful, but it was solid burrito. A couple of guy sitting near me ordered breakfast burritos. They looked damn good too. Super Torta is, well, not that super, actually. It's more like basic, watered-down Mexican food that is okay, at an okay price and a (mostly) okay location. The food isn't super flavorful, but the location is great for me, so I've gone several times in a pinch. I try new things each time, hoping I'll find the one thing I really love from there. So far, there aren't any standouts. Based on some of the other reviews here, next time I go, I'll try the carne asada burrito and see if it lives up to the hype. The people who work there are also just fine. Nothing to cheer about, but I have no direct complaints, either. Plus the restaurant itself needs a serious deep cleaning and/or remodel. Like I said, I will go back and give it another try. But not with any high expectations. read more

I've been wanting to try Super Torta for a while. The staff is very friendly, prep was super quick, and the tortas are stuffed huge! The flavors are good. We tried chicken, pastor, but the Asada was the best . Get plenty of sauce. Both green and red were delicious and not killer spicy hot. The place is a bit sketchy. The tables were a bit dirty. My wife kept complaining about a sketchy smell. It was sort of funny / cringey that the two men working there were listening to a mexican radio station that had fart jokes and fart sound effects super loud. like wtf? Lol. The burrito came out super fast and was decently good--not badly priced, but it's definitely the greasy re-fried burrito type that will make your farts smell like pure toxic waste. Didn't see veggy burritos on the menu either, and black beans are a decently expensive up-charge which is a shame. read more

Few things make me never want to return to a restaurant the way that finding a place closed during their "open" hours does. I stopped by just before six this evening to find the place totally shut down.. On a Saturday, this place is supposed to be open until 9:30, but there I was in the early evening sitting in front of the place I was going to get dinner trying to figure out where to go get food. So I like to think I know good Mexican food when I taste it... this is simple, well cooked food in a very casual environment, fairly cheap, with blunt service. Just now I like it! Don't expect five star service guys, it's a taco shop, let's be real. But if you like good, fast Mexican food, come here. I ordered the shredded beef hard taco... dang! This joint was a small drive from our Airbnb and the menu we saw looked good. The actual location is definitely showing it's age and is in need of cleaning and upkeep. Lots of dirt on the floors and just an unclean feeling all around. I ordered a burrito and a taco. While waiting for the food I noticed the kitchen staff uses microwaves pretty frequently in the food prep. Definitely not fresh cooking. The taco tasted good. Good seasoning and flavor. The burrito was large and bland. Couldn't really notice any flavor profiles. My friend had a piece of metal in his burrito. Something from a cleaning device. As soon as I saw that the desire to finish our food was basically zero. Wouldn't go back and couldn't recommend. read more

I was hungry for fish tacos on a Saturday evening and, assuming most places would be crowded, the husband and I decided to head down Woodstock and try Super Torta. It wasn't busy at all. Not one other person in the restaurant. On a Saturday. At 6:30pm. This, kids, is what we call "not a good sign." I ordered three tacos: two fish tacos ($3 each) and one steak fajita tacos ($2.60). He got a chimichanga ($8.50). And we split an order of chips and salsa ($??). Why am I including the prices? JUST KEEP READING! So he pays, thinking, "Twenty-eight dollars seems like a lot..." And, after the counter dude swipes the card, my husband asked if it was too late to add a side of sour cream. The guy said it was, gave him the slip to sign and the husband adds a $5 tip. "How much is a side of sour cream," we ask. "Maybe we have cash." We were told it was $2.50. For a SIDE of SOUR CREAM. Uhhh, never mind. We found a table (as aforementioned: not an issue), sat down and started doing quick math. My tacos were about nine, his chimi was about nine. We both drank water, so how much were those chips, right? We started wondering if we'd be given like a DELUXE NACHO or something. When the order was up, we discovered it wasn't deluxe. It was two handfuls of tortilla chips on a plate with a half cup of pico de gallo. Even if it was an order of nachos ($2.60) and a side of pico ($2.60), that would have made the whole dinner $21.75, not $27.75. Long story short, we were overcharged. So, here's my advice to the proprietor: if you know a customer is annoyed because they'd like an extra sour cream, just give them an extra sour cream... especially when they've tipped you and you've overcharged them. When we walked out, I even tapped the menu board where the "Sour Cream.... $0.75" was written. That's the posted price, folks. Their chimichangas are impossible to cut with their flimsy-ass plastic forks and knives. Maybe bring your own from home, I guess. Might have been an anomaly, but the front counter area had an overwhelming smell of mildew. We almost walked out and should have, but the counter guy had greeted us and we "didn't want to seem rude." How was the food? Mediocre, at best. Definitely on par with Muchas Gracas. Not an insult, but c'mon. Muchas Gracias. Also: fish tacos are generally made with white flaky fish: halibut, cod, etc. Super Torta uses what appeared (and tasted) to be canned tuna. So gross. Never again. read more

We keep trying this place every 6 months because it's fairly cheap and close by. We want to like it, but the food is just... not good. Got a wide range of tacos which were all subpar at best and tamales were "dry as a desert" (my son's description.) The tostada was the one thing that was decent. This will be our last time trying to make this place work. Very underwhelming. read more

What can I say? The worker shortage in the restaurant industry is for real. In times when all you want is some decent service and decent food, getting both at the same time is almost impossible. Super Torta hasn't changed over the years. The man at the front who takes the orders, (His hair usually has plenty of gel and he has a beard) I really don't get him. His body language tells you he doesn't want to be there. After ordering one entree, he comes back with "is that it?" sounding annoyed. And when you walk in, there's no greeting, just a stare and walk away until you order. My questions to him are, do you really want to operate a business and why are you always so irritated? But their food is okay. I got their Al pastor burrito. The burritos aren't that huge and it's kinda pricey. However, the Al pastor was really flavorful and juicy. Add a little green sauce or red sauce and you get some really good Mexican food! I'm disappointed at the service. But their food is good enough for future visits. read more

This all started with an email from Postmates offering Free Delivery all weekend on Orders from Chipotle, which just introduced Queso. Pro: They're on Postmates. Con: I ended up ordering from here because Postmates promised free delivery if you Order from Chipotle all weekend, and there was no Postmate available to deliver the cheese sauce. After all that, the housemate and I were craving Mexican, so we ordered from here. Pro: You won't regret it. I ordered Nachos which were loaded down with cheese and incredible tasting chicken. I ask for no tortilla on the burrito (insides only), but I'm pretty sure Postmates doesn't pass along the information. I ordered a side of pico and the flavor is spot on, and I will be back for a Chimichanga (Deep Fried Burrito). Postmates was nice enough to refund the incorrectly prepared burrito after we contacted them. And we went to Chipotle the next day to try the Queso, which wasn't that great. read more

I heard great things about this place and I was excited to get some breakfast burritos on a thursday morning after a night of partying (lol) I called in an order for a chicken fajita burrito and my brother got the chorizo and carne asada burrito. We head to the place to pick up our order at 9:40am. We walk in, the place is completely empty and a short man greets us and rings us up for our orders. My burrito was $6.90 so I hand him a $20 bill......HE PROCEEDS TO GET ANGRY WITH ME AND TAKE OUT HIS IRRELEVANT FRUSTRATION ON ME. Following conversation: MAN: "really?! You're gonna take ALL MY CHANGE??!" Me: "uh, what? All your change? You only have $13 in the register?" MAN: "YEAH. SO NOW IM GONNA HAVE NO CHANGE AND I JUST OPENED" (as if somehow this is my problem) ME: (visually distressed and upset) "well this is how I'm paying...." MAN: (silently grabs the bill and gives me a scoffed look and gives me the change) MOST AWKWARD ENCOUNTER OF MY LIFE AND I AM NOT A CONFRONTATIONAL PERSON.
