There were five girls standing in a circle by the bar talking and laughing. A couple of them turned and saw me and went back to talking. There were other staff walking around. The chicken was absolutely flavorless. The chicken nor the breading had any flavor. Ok. Maybe they rely on their sauce for flavor. I got the HOT and the DONKEY (which is I think one step below the hottest, I learned from actual good places not to get the hottest sauce). Both were like Wendy's ghost pepper lame hot level. Mildly fast food level spicy at best. I've had good wings. I've had wings where I've said, "meh." Walls were dirty with old food spatters, and there are several places where delayed maintenance/repairs has caused the place to look uncared for. Bathroom needs a very thorough cleaning/upgrade. Other than the fruit plate, which was very fresh, my breakfast meal was not good and as a result I ate a few bites and left the rest. My dining partner said her food was very good, except for the biscuits and gravy which had no flavor other than tasting like undercooked sausage. The baked goods were all excellent, as always. Coffee was weak but tasted fresh. Hoping management addresses some of these issues soon. Cherry House has long been a family favorite when we're in the area, and it is so disappointing for it to not live up to the great experiences we've had there in the past.
