We walked in the store, it was busy, people browsing in the aisles and waiting to get their medications. I wasn't intending on getting a vaccine but my co-parent was there to get hers. While processing the first shot, the pharmacist asked if I wanted to join in the fun, haha. I said might as well if I was considering that it'll probably be done. However, that should never be an excuse to speak disrespectfully to patients or make them feel belittled. I was calling regarding medication for my daughter, who is only one month old. Naturally, if I'm calling to follow up on her medication, it's because I need assistance and want to make sure everything is handled correctly. Unfortunately, the technician seemed unwilling to properly take down the information I was providing and spoke to me in a very rude and dismissive manner. When I asked for her name and let her know that I would be leaving a review about my experience, her response was, "Okay, good luck." I found that response extremely unprofessional and unnecessary. Thankfully, Kathleen, the pharmacist, was incredibly helpful and professional. I had to call back, but she took the time to address the situation and even apologized for what had happened. I truly appreciated her professionalism and willingness to help. In the end, my issue was resolved, but I wish the situation had been handled that way from the beginning. A little patience, respect, and proper customer service would have prevented the unnecessary back-and-forth calls and made the experience much less stressful.
