I can tell they don't know how to do nails because they don't know how to TAKE OFF nails. I went in to get my dip nails soaked off because I didn't plan on getting another manicure, so there was no point in going out to my angel of a nail tech in VA. She's booked and busy anyway so she wouldn't have been available to do it. If I have to go somewhere other my girl to get my nails off, I always make sure to tell the person I want them SOAKED off. Otherwise, they will drill your nail to the bone. The woman who *started* working on me was terrible. She started using the ROUGHEST drill to take off the top gel coat from the dip. She didn't drill down far but the drill itself was so unnecessary and I could still feel the burning of the drill in my finger. So I told her, "this drill is too rough to take off this top coat. It's burning my finger." She started talking obvious mess in her native language like I didn't know she was saying something smart regardless of understanding or not. I'm not stupid. She switched the drill, finished filing the top coat, and she asked someone else to bring the acetone and hot water so the nails could soak off. No one came back to check to see if they were soaking off well, so I started wiping away the remainder with a paper towel they that's on their desks. I got up and said, "can I pay for this" Someone came over and tried to look at my nails but I told her it was soaked off and no one came back to check anyway so I just want to pay. I was told that it was late and the older lady that did it could've been tired. The younger lady in the front left that seems to be in charge called herself doing a better job but only to rush through and have someone else to finish my nails because she had to step in to work on a customer that was not satisfied with that tech's service. She finished my nails and didn't speak English well. Two days later, they chipped and messed up. I have frequented this nail salon many times over the years. I started going again more regularly for about 8 months now. I even get services for my 5 year old. Needless to say I spend a lot of money here. About a month ago an older lady did my pedicure and did a horrible job polishing my toes. I requested her to do it again. It took 4 re-do's before it was right. However I still went back 2 more times. I just did not want her doing my pedicure. Well my last visit about 2 weeks ago Sarah did my nails. She did an amazing job. She went to do my eyebrows and did a HORRIBLE job. The wax was super hot. And someone else had to fix them. The next day I noticed a BURN UNDER MY EYEBROW. I went back and the manager questioned if they did it and began to tell me how to treat it. I requested a refund, not for the $78 I spent on all services, only for the $8 for my eyes. She reluctantly refunded me. Yesterday i went for a pedicure only. I was informed by the short haired girl at the desk that I was not going to receive any services because "the techs all feel like they can't satisfy you". To be clear THEY REFUSED ALL SERVICES FOR ME INDEFINITELY!!! After ONE TECH did a bad pedicure and another BURNED me. I only went here for the convenience. The one time I decide to "just stop in" and get a mani, turns into the biggest nail shop disappointment of my entire life. Seriously, I looked at my nails this afternoon and was like 'REALLY??' So, I decided to stop by a nearby nail shop and get it together. First, upon walking into the establishment, the workers entertained not a single greeting. No hi, how are you, what would you like...instead, a little lady yelled, "What chu want?" That should have been the first indicator to leave. The technician took over 40 minutes to start on my feet and by then...you guessed it, the water was freezing. I eventually started working on my feet before he even got a chance. I probably should have went elsewhere from the start since there was only one person working, but I didn't! Lesson learned! The guy who serviced my daughter and I started out pleasant. We asked for specific prices for our services due to the sign not being clear to understand. He quoted us both $52 a piece for our services. OK great! Half way through my daughter's pedicure he tried to raise it to $70! So we both said NO! He laughed it off and said he was joking, but something told me he truly wasn't joking. When it was time to do our nails he became very careless. I'm not sure if he was worn out from working on both of us back to back or what, but by the time he'd gotten to me all hell had broken loose!!! I'd picked 2 colors...one a solid and one a sparkle. I specifically said to him I want the sparkle color on my ring finger and thumb BEFORE he started polishing. He began polishing the solid color and he started to look confused so I said again sparkles on my ring fingers and thumbs. He smiled and said oh yeah I remember. Then he painted my thumb the solid color. I immediately said no not that color, but he continued anyway. I asked him to remove the color and put the sparkle color there he said okay. He then started using the sparkle color on my ring fingers and grabbed my other thumb and began painting. Mind you my daughter and I are holding a conversation at the time. I'm assuming he's still using the sparkle until my daughter points to my nails. So I said to him No I don't want the solid color on my thumbs...please remove the solid color from my thumbs and put the sparkle color there (I was very polite when saying it mind you) and he blew a gasket! He started yelling at me and telling me he didn't want to do it the way I wanted it done, because it would look stupid. At that point we argued back and forth and customers were walking in the store for services. He began drilling the polish off my nails very sloppily and I asked him to take his time and do it properly...well needless to say he broke my nail on my left thumb!!! Yes I had tips on but I actually have nails underneath and he not only broke and artificial one, but my real one also!!! Then he got angry, because I required him to fix it properly!!! One lady walked through their door on the side and he screamed at her go to the back...she said no eyebrows today I want my nails done, and he SCREAMED NO NAILS GET OUT!!! She was like no nails why not? And he told her sit your stupid self down!!! At that point I'd made it my business to pay him what he was due and leave and never to return!!! Once he was done he had the nerve to tell me I owed him $148!!! BULL CRAP!!! I paid that man what he originally quoted me and left out of his shop!!!
