I can tell they don't know how to do nails because they don't know how to TAKE OFF nails. I went in to get my dip nails soaked off because I didn't plan on getting another manicure, so there was no point in going out to my angel of a nail tech in VA. She's booked and busy anyway so she wouldn't have been available to do it. If I have to go somewhere other my girl to get my nails off, I always make sure to tell the person I want them SOAKED off. Otherwise, they will drill your nail to the bone. The woman who *started* working on me was terrible. She started using the ROUGHEST drill to take off the top gel coat from the dip. She didn't drill down far but the drill itself was so unnecessary and I could still feel the burning of the drill in my finger. So I told her, "this drill is too rough to take off this top coat. It's burning my finger." She started talking obvious mess in her native language like I didn't know she was saying something smart regardless of understanding or not. I'm not stupid. She switched the drill, finished filing the top coat, and she asked someone else to bring the acetone and hot water so the nails could soak off. No one came back to check to see if they were soaking off well, so I started wiping away the remainder with a paper towel they that's on their desks. I got up and said, "can I pay for this" Someone came over and tried to look at my nails but I told her it was soaked off and no one came back to check anyway so I just want to pay. Went in at 7:45pm after calling and asking if it was fine to come, but when I got there one of the techs said, "we only do appointments but I'll take you" like hun...you not doing nobody a favor and that's not what you said on the phone. The same nail tech did my hands and feet and turned out horrible. I wanted to switch the color of the nails and she wanted to charge me $10 to take off the color even though the nails were not done. I was not able to leave zero stars, that was the quality of service I receive. I had to go back to fix my pedicure and dip powder that was not done correctly. I was told that it was late and the older lady that did it could've been tired. The younger lady in the front left that seems to be in charge called herself doing a better job but only to rush through and have someone else to finish my nails because she had to step in to work on a customer that was not satisfied with that tech's service. She finished my nails and didn't speak English well. Two days later, they chipped and messed up. I went back and the young lady in charge said that she would have to charge me to fix it this time because they only fix once. It took 4 re-do's before it was right. However I still went back 2 more times. I just did not want her doing my pedicure. Well my last visit about 2 weeks ago Sarah did my nails. She did an amazing job. She went to do my eyebrows and did a HORRIBLE job. The wax was super hot. And someone else had to fix them. The next day I noticed a BURN UNDER MY EYEBROW. I went back and the manager questioned if they did it and began to tell me how to treat it. I requested a refund, not for the $78 I spent on all services, only for the $8 for my eyes. She reluctantly refunded me. Yesterday i went for a pedicure only. I was informed by the short haired girl at the desk that I was not going to receive any services because "the techs all feel like they can't satisfy you". To be clear THEY REFUSED ALL SERVICES FOR ME INDEFINITELY!!! After ONE TECH did a bad pedicure and another BURNED me. I only went here for the convenience. The one time I decide to "just stop in" and get a mani, turns into the biggest nail shop disappointment of my entire life. Seriously, I looked at my nails this afternoon and was like 'REALLY??' So, I decided to stop by a nearby nail shop and get it together. First, upon walking into the establishment, the workers entertained not a single greeting. No hi, how are you, what would you like...instead, a little lady yelled, "What chu want?" That should have been the first indicator to leave. Second, I sat down to a dirty towel and suspect equipment. I thought she might have changed the towel out when I got up, but she didn't bother. She did, however, clean the utensils before using them on my nails. The whole process of removing my cuticles took about 10-15mins and afterward, there were still pieces of dead skin around my nails. If that wasn't enough, she painted my nails as if she was a novice in this profession. There was nail polish on my skin and bubbles and ripples because she didn't thin the apparent OLD nail polish. He walked slowly to his chair, yelled at me for asking the difference between power and gel, complained to a co worker I was taking too long. I was worried he could afford to come to work late because he work was not in demand. Today, he should have just stayed home. His work was awful. I showed what appeared to be the "manager", greeter, delegator of nail techs if she thought the product was worthy of paying for. She yelled to and asked me what I wanted her to do. I asked for it to be fixed. She walked away. And yelled more for me to sit and wait. I walked up to her after standing there perplexed how long I should expect to wait. The technician took over 40 minutes to start on my feet and by then...you guessed it, the water was freezing. I eventually started working on my feet before he even got a chance. After waiting 45 minutes at this point, the guy began working on my feet aggressively and cut me. I wanted to swing my foot up his ---. I decided to not continue to be tortured and immediately left. I went in today 1/29/2015 and I got a deluxe pedicure which included the paraffin wax treatment. First off another technician went to the sink and proceeded to blow his nose IN HIS HAND and then just rinsed his hands I didn't say anything because he wasn't my tech. After my tech did the paraffin wax treatment which they put the wax in the plastic bag, they polished my toes and I sat under the dryer. I watched him as he took the wax that he used on my feet and put it back in the same wax warmer to use on another customer. Waited another 30 minutes to be seated at nail booth. He started on my Mother's nails. He didn't file off all the previous nail color. Did a very sloppy overlay. Then filed her nails into these God awful "ovals." Her nails were ridiculously pointy and misshapen. Her nails aren't even uniform. He put 4 coats of polish on her nails. Then proceeded to file them AGAIN, after he polished them. I didn't even bother wasting my time or money getting them done. Only one person working on a Saturday. Pitiful.
