However, my car wasn't cleaned after two $20 washes . I got all the way home and noticed my car was still dirty so I went back and they let me back through for free and still no difference. I would add two things. First, they give veterans 10% off on Tuesdays. I went a few weeks ago, got the discount and they cleaned my entire GMC 2500 inside and out for $26. I had a hard time telling the difference between the $275 detailing that I get from another great guy and what these guys did for $26. It was spotless and shiny. It did take about 30 minutes, but was totally worth it. I just went back today and for $17 (plus the $3 tip I gave them), the outside of my truck is spotless again. Tires and wheels shined. Everything. All by hand. I can't say enough good things about these guys. They are my new go-to car wash and I'm happy to travel 30 minutes to get to them. There are no hand washes closer to me and none of the automated ones even come close to the quality work these guys do. Oh, yeah, the second thing is that the name of the car wash is now Optimo Car Wash #6. Still at 191 Shunpike Rd in Cromwell.

This is not the only place that uses the dollar coin system. In fact, it can work to your advantage, because a lot of things are just a dollar, including the vacuums, for which you get four minutes. I have a little 2-seater, so it's perfect for me. And for my truck, 8 minutes is well worth two dollars. I usually use the self-service bays. Fortunately, their wheel cleaner ACTUALLY REMOVES BRAKE DUST, unlike some of the other places of this ilk in the area. Powerful cleaners that are actual solvents for grease... that's a plus! If you have a small car, and don't have OCD, you can get your car clean for $4. $3 at the self service bay, $1 at the vacuum. You can't be mad at that, even if the machines only took Eisenhower dollar coins :D.

I waived the service technitian over to the passenger side window where I was sitting and expressed my deep frustration and asked with why they could not just ask the prospect move to the side so we could get on with our busy day. Getting a car wash isn't supposed to be a 15 minute wait while your next in line while they pitch their monthly subsciption. As soon as I complained he said I better be quiet or he will pull my monthly pass, and turn me away. He was threatening both verbally and physically while I was sitting in my car. I then asked my wife to go through the wash as I exited the car. we could not turn around due to a line. I got out of my car to speak to him or other technichian at this point to cancel my monthy subsciption he then said I was using foul language towards him which I was not, and told me he would cancel my subscription based upon my complaint after 15 minutes still waiting in line. I felt threatened, and removed myself from the situation so as not to have him continue to make threats. All I asked was to cancel my monthly due to his rude and unprofessiobal tone.
