The Car Dealer hired AutoMotion to install a new motor with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty. Well, 2 years and roughly 18,000 miles into the usage the motor blew again in June of 2024. I Car paid off by now but I didn't have the written paperwork for the warranty so I called the Dealership and he said to take it back to AutoMotion to be repaired. 3 months after they had it they said the motor finally came in and it would be done soon. 6 months after they said the brand new motor had a Knock in the Engine and they would not in good conscious release it to me until it was fixed. 1 YEAR AFTER FIRST RECEIVING MY CAR; they said that they were too busy to put a 3rd motor in BUT they want me to pay $758 labor for a car that wasn't working properly! I sent my Daughter to retrieve the $450 HALO boost system out of the vehicle to loan to my Daughter and the Booster is Missing. The worker at AutoMotion told my daughter "Look at the sign! We are not responsible for ANYTHING and people steal parts of these cars all the time! Not my Problem!!!" This is not how you do business! My car is being held Hostage until I pay for Bad Workmanship for a car that Doesn't run properly Exactly the same condition it was in 6 months ago when William Castle told me personally that he could not in "good conscience" release it! He is the only one who greeted us when we said "Good Morning" , the other grey haired gentleman with glasses who sat in the desk to the right of the service counter didn't say a word besides "you're 30min late so you're gonna have to wait, we took someone in ahead of you" then went back to reading his paper. His general demeanor and overall attitude towards us made me feel like he couldn't really care any less. But Mr. Johnson was the nicest person there. Maybe the only one.

Let me say at the outset that this is about Morgan-McClure Ford's service department; I live in a…read moreneighboring town, and this service department serves a large portion of people who need automotive repairs (and don't necessarily drive Fords) and who, like me, have not bought a vehicle from the company's sales department across the street. I've lived in six states, mostly in urban situations, and I would put these guys against anybody! I don't run immediately to an auto mechanic when I have a problem that doesn't keep me from driving, so by the time I get to one I usually have a list of things that need to be done. I've also by then tried to diagnose something or other, and I'm not always right (to say the least). But I can go to this service department with my list, and if something on the list doesn't need fixing, they don't do it. I suspect that part is no different from other places. But the difference here is, They don't CHARGE me for the undone task! They tell me exactly what they did and didn't do, and they take the time to explain to me where my "diagnosis" of the problem went off the tracks. It's not easy to find an auto-service shop that is both competent AND honest. I've had one or the other, and sometimes neither. But these guys are both. I trust them to keep my vehicles in good running order without padding a bill, and I have yet to be disappointed in them. An added plus: everyone there (Angel at the front desk included) is a pleasant person.
