It was sitting inside of a big aluminum container with a whole bunch of other bags filled to the top of pickled cabbage and not refrigerated. I was disappointed in the pupusa. They were definitely not your traditional ones and I think two pieces of dough are smashed together instead of stuffed and rolled and flattened the traditional way. The filling was watery. It fell apart, also they were extremely flat and really look like pancakes. ‍ disappointed

The owner is frequently around and he is just as kind and accommodating. It almost feels like you're a guest in a Latin home! Comida For me, the pupusas are so good! They are grilled and non-greasy (which is a plus for me, that's how my mom makes them). They are full of flavor and balance crunch with soft/chewy quite well. The curtido (the pickled cabbage) is also done well and when combined with the salsita, they enhance the guanaco wonderbread. I also usually get the platanos fritos con frijoles y crema. Just one of the dishes that takes me back to Guatemala. (Well that's how I how i had to sell it to my Mom anyways) It had great corn flavor and was fried nice and crispy on the outside and served piping hot. The order came with a side of Salvadoran-style pickled slaw made from cabbage and carrots. It was fairly spicy and still had good crunch. It goes really well with the sweetness of the corn. These make a nice little snack to munch on while out running errands and are much lighter and healthier than grabbing a burger and fries.
