These guys were as Super as their name implies. Fast, efficient and hard working from beginning to end, but also super friendly, professional and oh-so-careful with all of our belongings. We hired 3 men to do the move as we had a lot of large & heavy items but nothing fazes these guys! They were joking and had a positive attitude for the entire day, which is exactly what you want to have when inviting strangers into your home. As a freebie even their manager Gord showed up. He not only helped with the move but he also chatted us up to see how things were going and kept a mindful eye on his employees which made things go extra smoothly. And all that with a recovering back injury from a recent accident. How amazing is that? To top it all off they showed up on the first major snowfall of the year but there was not a single complaint to be made. These guys just buckled down and got to work, placing carpet runners all throughout both houses to ensure our floors, old and new, stayed dry and protected. They wrapped chairs, bookshelves and end tables in plastic and thick moving blankets to keep everything scratch free and stable (we did have a small scape on the edge of our new dining table but something like this can be expected on such a big move and we were able to touch it up after). Boy, did these guys work hard! Their prices were reasonable considering we had 3+ men for almost 6 hours and you can tell that the owner and manager care about their business and their customers. Christian, the owner, even called personally before they started to make sure they arrived on time. Be prepared to do a little paperwork first as the owner wants a detailed inventory emailed to him when booking your move - a first for me. But in retrospect I can see the wisdom behind this as they really want to ensure enough men will show up with a big enough truck to move your entire household to avoid wasting anyone's time. Stop looking and hire these guys! We recently used SuperPowers for a move within the City of Calgary. As were moving from a home we had been in for more than 10 years, we had managed to accumulate a lot of stuff, and our estimate of how many boxes we would have was ridiculousy low. Gord, Sheldon and Brandon from SuperPowers were on the job from 9:00 in the morning until 11:30 in the evening, and were nothing short of exceptional in the service they provided. 10:00 at night and we are asking them to move a piano down from the second floor (where they had just brought it up) back down to the main floor and they are cracking jokes about it. They never made us feel like we were imposing on them in any way, despite the 13+ hours they were there helping us. Both of our previous moves had been corporate transfers, using a major van line and sparing no expense (i.e. not being worried about the expense) so this was out first where we were paying for it and we were a little wary knowing that the moving industry in general is not known for being highly ethical and reasonable. We had heard horror stories about demands for extra money because of extra stairs, or a longer carry, or packing materials, or extra-heavy items or any number of things. Our concerns were unfounded with SuperPowers - the hourly rate quoted covers it all and in whatever quantities are necessary. Plastic wrap, tape, moving blankets, etc. were all in plentiful supply - there was no sign that they were being used sparingly because we weren't being charged directly for them. In short, these 3 guys from SuperPowers took what could have been an extremely stressful day for us and made it into... I won't say a pleasure, but it was certainly as good as you could ever hope for a moving day to be. I would hire them again in a second and recommend them without reservation - they were amazing. read more

CalgarySofa is family owned and operated sofa and mattress store here in town that does both liquidations and custom fabricated furniture. We don't use our own truck or delivery crew, so when our customers want something not just delivered but also set up in their homes we often call Super Powers to do the job. Zero complaints ever from our customers. Their staff are cheerful, pleasant, and friendly with everyone they interact with, even when you can tell they're run down and had a miserable day. They seem to genuinely enjoy getting things done for people, and that's the same thing we always hear from our customers. I can't say enough kind things about their work ethic and attitude. I mean, it's not rocket science, it's moving large and heavy things. The way I judge things like this is, when I ask them to get something done and then turn around and leave it in their hands, I'm 100% sure it will get done the way I would have done it myself or better. I never have to wonder if they were respectful with our customers, if they were competent with the delivery, if they fell behind, if they couldn't figure out how to bring large odd-shaped things through odd-shaped hallways and stairways, if anything got damaged in the process, etc. Just complete peace of mind that when it's their responsibility, it'll get done right and done fast. We've experimented with a lot of delivery companies over the decades and there's really no point in taking a gamble with some unnamed strangers who think that moving means nothing more than showing up with a truck and having arms and legs. These guys actually do have super powers! During my move last week, Christian and his coworker picked up my treadmill (extra heavy model - it can do 30% incline) with ease and maneuvered it through 2 sets of stairs and a ridiculously tight corner. Amazingly, they did it with a smile and in good humour. Previously when I first bought the treadmill, I had 2 friends help and all we could do was drag it with lots of swearing and agony. The best part of using Christian for my move was the great communication. He was the first to respond to my quote requests, the first to figure out a moving date and time that worked. Then 3 days before moving day, he followed up to see if there any changes to my furniture list to ensure he brought the right sized truck and equipment. On the day of the move, he called 1/2 hour in advance to let me know he was on his way. Nice to have this communication when coordinating all the things that have to be done during a move. With the move done so smoothly, I hired him again for the carpet cleaning and received the same professionalism. I've moved a number of times before. You typically get the hired muscle showing up who you have to supervise to make sure they don't break your stuff, hit the walls, or even steal things. With Super Powers, you get Christian, the business owner, doing the work himself with coworkers. You can tell he wants a job well done and cares about the reputation of his business. We moved on October 31st, 2017 from Calgary to Black Diamond Alberta. Found these guys from a referral from another moving company that I had called for a quote but they were booked for that day. I'm very happy they were because our move went seamlessly. We had a small (less then 2 hr window) to get everything out so it could have gone very badly. Also I was super flakey and changed my pick up time twice. They were extremley understanding and accommodating. All my emails with my many time concerns were addressed right away and they made sure to call the night before to confirm. The acctual movers were professional, plesant and efficient. Super friendly guys! And fast... we were on a tight budget and with it being an houly charge, you just dony know. I was blown away how efficiently they go about thier work. I found the final charge extremely reasonable and well worth every dollar. I will never use another moving company and look forward to learning more about their carpet cleaning and renovation services as well. I couldn't them recommend more! read more

1st yelp review after being on here forever! Had to write a review, because this moving company made my move easy and stress free, I highly recommend their services. First off Christian, the owner, is extremely quick at replying to any inquiry, and answered all my questions with ease. I required storage for a couple nights, which is no problem with these guys. I prepped my stuff for moving extremely well... I thought, till Ken and Gord prepped it even more with their equipment. Nothing was gonna move or break in that truck. btw if you want to see an expert level Tetris player with boxes and furniture, Gord is your guy. Was amazing watching him piece my furniture in every bit of space. I rarely go out of my way to rave about a company, but I felt I would be doing an injustice if I never gave these guys the proper thankyou. I have used Super Powers Movers for both of my moves in Calgary/Airdrie and will be using them again for my move to Leduc in February. Christian and his team are extremely good at what they do, very professional and reasonably priced. They work very quickly and efficiently. For my first move from Calgary to Airdrie, they had my condo (which included a very awkward hallway) packed up and ready to go in 1.5hrs. I was fully moved in to my new place in Airdrie in less than four hours. These guys will also disassemble and reassemble furniture, so basically you don't need to lift a finger. They also take extreme care as to not damage any furniture (or walls as they are moving items). I highly highly recommend Christian and his team if you are planning a move and look forward to working with him again for my upcoming move as I know it will go just as flawlessly as the last two times :) read more

I booked Super Powers for almost every service they had available: Junk removal, moving, packing supplies and steam cleaning. Christian was extremely helpful throughout the whole process and always seem to be going out of his way to make our experience as great as possible. All of our pictures/fragile items were packed with more than enough padding and nothing was damaged. Our move took a bit longer due to us moving furniture out of a recently flooded apartment and needing our stuff separated in a specific way, but Christian stayed late into the night to make sure all of our furniture that had sat in the apartment was cleaned & disinfected. Even after working with us for almost 12 hours he made sure to ask if there was anything else we needed from him before he left. I'll need to do junk removal in my new place soon and will definitely be using Super Powers again. read more

I had an extremely positive experience with Super Powers Inc. for a move that turned out to be more stressful than moving usually is. On moving day, an unexpected street closure in front of my building meant that Super Powers' moving truck couldn't access my building for the move. Christian was very kind to me and helped me find solutions to the problem (including fitting my into their packed schedule the following day). In the end, the movers stayed on stand by until the street was opened again, and came to move me starting at 6.30 pm. The movers were extremely professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and careful, and completed my move in 3.5 hours. They were also extremely friendly and especially kind for coming out to move me all evening. Can't say enough nice things about these guys. Originally my move was scheduled for early afternoon but due to factors beyond anyone's control it was moved to the evening. Crew showed up with a super positive attitude (even though this was going to be a late day for them) and was extremely professional. I had a few valuable items that I was worried about and they took extra care to get ensure they were protected. These guys wrapped anything that could be damaged in wraps or padding to ensure no scuffs. They were clean and tidy and even helped lay out items in my new unit in a logical order (bed in bedroom with all parts. Tv in its end location. Couch were it should be and kitchen items in kitchen. Based, in part, on the reviews from Yelp I went with Super Powers moving. Christian was incredibly prompt and detailed in his email communications. He gets all the right information to help him make a recommendation on what you need. He and his guys showed up right on time and were to work within minutes. They were truly impressive to watch. Basically running up and down the stairs and always friendly and helpful. They packed the truck incredibly tight and didn't seem to waste any time or space. Everything arrived exactly how it left and both the new and old house were left with not even a nick. This was no small move by any stretch and the guys put in an incredibly long day with the highest spirits, still joking late into the evening. Gord and Ken were very professional and took such good care of our stuff, I didn't think such care was possible. Everything was wrapped with blankets and then plastic film. When they carried our things, they were as careful as careful could be. They were polite and friendly. I don't think you can do better than this company. Christian, the owner, made sure I was completely informed as to cost, timing, and what to expect for my move. He called the day before we moved just to make sure he had all the details correct. Bottom line, he made sure there would be no problems, at least any caused by him or his crew. Cost-wise, you can't do better. The price is very fair and their are no hidden charges. I used Super Power Movers to move my belongings from a storage locker in Airdrie to my new home in Cochrane in March. Although I gave them short notice because of a change in my plans, Christian cheerfully and competently booked me for a move the next week. The quote provided by Christian was competitive and even lower than a couple of other companies I called. On the day of the move, the movers were on time and worked very hard during the move. There was no damage to my belongings or my new home and the movers placed my furniture exactly where I wanted it. And no extra charges, the charges outlined in the quote were what I was charged. We found Super Powers Inc on Kijiji to help us move from our 2-bedroom condo and are very glad we did. The owner is extremely responsive and keeps you updated throughout the process. Moving is never a pleasant experience, but these guys did their best to make it less painful! I've had past movers that break objects, are late and one company that didn't show up until a week later - but Super Powers was great. It was obvious that the business is owner operated - they take pride in their work. Life savers! I needed movers last minute because my scheduled movers cancelled the day before my move. These guys at Super Powers were able to fit me into their busy schedule on the same day I called! Staff is outgoing and very experienced. They also offered carpet cleaning and junk removal which was perfect since I had a lot to get rid of and the carpets needed to be cleaned for the next tenant. The job was done in less time than I expected and the carpets ended up looking brand new. Definitely relieved my moving stresses with all the services they offered. Overall, great job! I was extremely impressed with this company. The team were on time (even phoned me 30 min before arrival to confirm they were en route), and they got straight to work as soon as they arrived. Extremely polite and efficient guys that took a lot of the stress of moving out of the equation. They cleaned up after the move and even took away some of our packing materials. We also used their carpet cleaning services, which we coordinated for after the move out. This team were also very dependable and extremely efficient. No mess, no fuss, no hassles and no damage!
