We had the help from two wonderful gentlemen at 8am. They arrived right at 8am as promised, parked the truck. By 8:50, they had completely moved all our belongings to the truck including a couch, elliptical, patio set, all our kitchen stuff. Our whole move only took 2hrs! Jorge and Darion were efficient, friendly, professional and just really hard working people. We really appreciated all their help to make our move as smooth as possible. If a negative star was available in this review, it would have been chosen. I take reviews very seriously. I gave this company more than ample opportunity to rectify the situation but the office manager did not take advantage of this. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews plus investigated them on the Better Business Bureau's website before making my choice. As I mentioned in my emails, this move cost me much more than could have been anticipated. This was an intercity move going a short distance. I paid for 4 movers because I had big furniture and I was trying to anticipate their ability to manage everything in a safe way. A 24 hour window to make a claim is not sufficient and benefits the moving company only. During the move I had to tell the movers to take off shoes, to be careful of the floors, not to slide boxes across my wood furniture, not to slide the furniture on its side on the floor. I witnessed them dragging the top of my wooden desk across the floor of the truck but I could not run downstairs and outside before they had it placed in the truck. If you have time during a move to monitor all aspects, please use them. The damage I did catch in the 24 hours is being disputed. I received an offer of $75 to compensate the damage to a large wooden dresser full side panel. I'm disputing this because it was an arbitrary amount given without any wood service personnel looking at the piece. I was given 1 week to accept the one time offer which had been sent to the wrong email. The office manager did not refer to the contract for contact information. On the other hand, I was asked to refer to the contract when I asked how they came up with a compensation amount so that I can confirm their reasoning for compensation is valid. This is a common issue with this company. Also, a customer is not allowed to speak directly with the Claim Department (if there is one - office manager replied to my email to reject their $75 within 20 minutes with a reassessment and new offer of $100) If you have a simple move that should take less than two hours, their reviews appear to be good. If you're moving a household and you care about your furniture, keep searching. BTW, I tried offering constructive criticism to the office manager, but it was ignored and the issues went unaddressed. Also, I have had many moves in my lifetime and the only time I had this type of damage was with an out of country move - two items - fixed in three weeks - no hassle. The company took responsibility for the damage they caused. Not so in this case. read more

I'll begin by saying that the 3 guys showed up right on time - off to a good start. There were a few things that had I known...I would have chosen another company. First, I feel the office wasn't clear when providing a quote. I was moving from Cochrane to Calgary and apparently there is an ADDITIONAL 1 hour charge. So...if you have an out of Calgary move - not only will you pay for the time they are actually driving (in this case, 50 mins) - you'll be charged an ADDITIONAL HOUR ($169) - so I paid nearly $300 of "travel time". The movers also charged an additional $50 for an item they deemed as "extra heavy". This wasn't disclosed at the front end either. This is the first moving company I've used that didn't lay down floor runners to protect the floor and keep from tracking dirt in and out - and they didn't remove their shoes. In addition, a couple of items got damaged including a big ding out of my walls. Happens, I suppose. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this company for an out of town move. Not impressed. read more

Calgary movers Pro showed at my house in August 2021 to move my 4 bedroom belongings to Edmonton. Long story short, furniture was poorly arranged in the truck. Even when they realized they couldn't move everything, they never discussed with us as to what was the priority. Parts of relevant furniture left behind, which made us hire another truck on the spot for the next day. That aside. When I reached out to them via email about damages, emails went unanswered for 3 days, contrary to the immediate responses I got when I wanted to hire them. Then I called, sent pictures and I was ignored. With continuous persistence, they told me my emails were never sent. After a couple of calls, the manager was very condescending and intimidating on the phone. He initially said the damages were there before they picked up the items and when I told him I got the pictures before the move because we had initially wanted to sell the items, his narrative changed. He said his movers had the before pictures which were never shared with us, and then later on started shifting the blame to the second very small truck that moved the rest of the items , even on confirmation that the damaged bed was mounted by his movers, as well as the dinning and office table . Mind you that the second move was really just one person driving a few dinning chairs, mirror, metal bedframe and tiny things from the garage. When he was disproved, he then moved on to the fact that its way past time and he can't do anything about it. $2000 was paid for the insurance and the move, almost another $2000. They deliberately ignored my communications inorder to buy time, look good in the face of their insurance company and intimidate customers on the phone. So please be careful. read more

We had an agreement for 3 men at 8, we got 2 At 8:30. They were to blanket the furniture, not really. My armoire had a crushed corner, table top was pulled off the drawer, every piece of wood furniture had nicks and scratches, the side of my headboard was torn, there is a scratch on my floor and the railings/baseboard on the stairwell were nicked all the way up. This was the first time a mover complained about how heavy something was, how much stuff I had and I was asked if I could take some stuff in my car. After 17 moves this is the first time I had complaints. I have contacted them 3 times to no avail. My only option is to take them to court. AVOID them unless you want my experience. read more

We had Calgary Movers Pro do a small move that involved moving a couch from out house to an apartment in a different area of the city, and also moving some other furniture from the basement to the main floor and vice versa at our house. They were on time, were friendly and helpful, and got the whole job done in less time than we thought they would. They were efficient and fast, and we were very pleased with the work they did. We would definitely use them again, and refer them to others. read more

After chewing up a neighbour's lawn I was informed they only accept cash and there was hidden "charges" for stairs. The one mover was polite and a hard worker and the other kept calling me by just my last name even though I told him my first name 6 times and whining about the stairs. When I asked for a receipt I was told it would be emailed to me, as of this posting I have yet to receive one. read more

A number of things were damaged and a month later they are still running around. Photos were taken on the day of of the items in the same location but they tried to have excuses for each item. Understandable certain furniture items can't be covered by their policy but perhaps exceptions can be made when the items are dropped, dragged, or the employee is throwing things because he is frustrated with the elevator. When mentioning the concerns I was told it was our fault for not helping... is the motive behind hiring a company not so that my 63 year old mother did not have to lift a dresser. Yes IKEA is not durable but an exception should be made when the bottom falls out from being dropped... if it is too heavy put it on your trolley (we did offer to help lift it on) or take out the drawers. My main concern is the rudeness of the guys on the day of, the pass around of everyone other than the owner after the fact, and the one off comments. read more

Worst experience ever! First of all they showed up late and with only 2 movers instead of the 3 we requested. So we had to wait for the 3rd mover before they could start. Turns out the movers were working a double shift and they started slowing down after a couple of hours and had to have breaks that we were paying for. Second, they damaged my kitchen table dropping it because of their fatigue. Then my coffee table got so scuffed up because they were putting boxes on it. And even worse, after I complained about the coffee table and how it was so damaged (previously in pristine condition), due to one mover sliding boxes along the coffee table instead of putting boxes on the floor, the mover got in trouble and he found my cell phone to send me malicious messages, calling me a racist and saying awful things. This scared me because he knows where I live and he shouldn't have access to my contact information. Now to top it all off, when the furniture repair person couldn't restore the furniture to the original condition, after 2 months of back and forth, they only would compensate us with $150 even though our ruined furniture is worth about $2500. It's been a month and we haven't received the $150 they begrudgingly agreed to. IF YOU HAVE NICE FURNITURE, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are negligent and unprofessional. We hired Calgary Movers Pro to move our belongings to our new home this summer. The movers were instructed to move only the furniture and the belongings that were packed in boxes or bins. Without permission, the movers removed our 60" television from the wall and put it in a cardboard box WITHOUT any means of protection (no blanket, no bubble wrap, etc.). They loaded the TV into the truck and unloaded it at the new house. They ignored their own company policies of testing the TV before and after the move. The next day I opened the box and found the TV screen broken. I immediately called the movers and provided photos of the damage. Calgary Movers Pro has attempted to blame me for the broken TV because "they used my cardboard box". They also said they could not process a claim because I did not notify them within 24 hours (I notified them in 27 hours). They also "forgot" our BBQ, overcharged for the amount of time worked, and damaged a table and a chair. After complaining, they refunded the extra time charged but they have been completely unreasonable and unresponsive regarding fair compensation for the broken TV. Calgary Movers Pro is an unprofessional company who does NOT care about their customers or their belongings. Stay clear of this company at all costs. Note that they will likely repond to this review saying I am lying. Of course this will be their sad attempt at deflecting blame. read more

I hired Calgary Pro Movers to move my 3 bedroom condo. I was quoted 6-8 hours based on the furniture I had and an estimation of boxes. I underestimated the boxes so expected extra time. They showed up with a short truck that didn't fit everything I had so would require a second trip, adding 1.5 hours to my cost. They were slow and blamed it on a few heavier items, weather causing their ramp to be slippery etc. They took 15.5 hours to move and still had to hire a Uhaul to pick up remainder of stuff. I had made things easy as I had all the boxes moved to the garage except the big furniture and wardrobe boxes from the upper level. They unloaded the first load in my front entryway and I moved things to the appropriate rooms except the furniture that they brought to the rooms and dropped in the middle of the room. They were not wanting to do the second load and tried to get it put off to the next day for someone else as it was already 11 pm. They went to get the second load and by the time they got to the new place it was 3:30 am and they dumped it all in my garage as they had another job to go to at 7am. At this point they came in and asked how mad I was with them. They still had my couch and loveseat on the truck and basically refused to bring it in until the bill was settled. I would never recommend this company to anyone. This was almost double the time it took my last move and I had 3 more rooms and another full living room to move. I was told that wasn't possible. These guys work slowly compared to other companies and charge more because of it. 9 hours at the higher rate would've cost me less than this company did charging me for 15.5 hours. read more

I did ask the guy who was delivering them to come back and pick them up he said he would. He never did so I called the company and Andrei hung the phone up GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
