Yelp is a garbage review site that hides the vast majority of reviews unless the "reviewee" advertises with them. Yelp denies this, but I've seen the difference as a business owner with Yelp between advertising and not advertising - you can watch reviews appear and disappear. That being said, I've used at least 5 or 6 movers in my lifetime. In 2018, we used Gilbert's to move a pretty large household. I've never seen a more professional, efficient, hard-working crew in my life - in ANY industry. Zero damage (not even a scuff!), super-fast, very accommodating (we had a 2 hour delay in getting keys to the new house, the Gilbert crew killed some time at another job and came back), and affordable - especially considering how much work was done. 4 of them even offered to come back the next day on their days off to help unload 2 additional 14ft cargo trailers we had loaded ourselves. I think they loaded and unloaded their truck plus our 2 trailers in under 4 hours total. I really don't think you'll find a better moving company, anywhere. read more

Incredible is all I can say. I can't even put into words how good these guys are at what they do. Jason, Jeff, Brandon, Dirty Dancing and theotherguy showed up at our house, and within 15 seconds of overcoming the shock of how much stuff we had, they just went to work. Within 2 hours, they had completely emptied the house. These guys are machines. And I didn't hear the word "oops" even once. Later that afternoon they brought everything to our new house, and had everything unloaded just as quickly. I had 2 16 foot trailers we loaded before calling these guys, so when they offered to come back the next day to unload those as well, I jumped at the opportunity. Two guys showed upand unloaded the first trailer, and a little later an army came in and finished the job. 4 hours later it was all done, and the only ding of any kind was one that I did. I've hired a LOT of movers, and NEVER saw work like this before. I felt confident in them after about the first 10 minutes of work. We moved from our little house to our dream house this weekend.  My wife is very pregnant and I have a middle-aged back.  Jim and Tom showed up 5 minutes early and wasted no time starting in on the monumental task of moving all of our worldly belongings 20 minutes down the road.  They did an amazing job.  Their attitudes were stellar.  They had the same smiles and energy at 9:30 when we started that they did at 4:30 when we were done.  In addition to the moving service itself going as well as it could, I was very impressed with Tom and Jim as young guys.  Very respectful, considerate, and polite.  It is refreshing to see that, unlike myself, there are some people out there that can lift heavy furniture without a string of obscenities pouring out.  Thanks guys.  Highly recommend. read more

We moved today and as it was a winter move, it was quite cold and snowy. Despite this Allan, TJ, and Lane absolutely crushed it, and they worked super well together as a team. They were exceptionally careful, professional, and efficient. They moved a HUGE amount of stuff, and had great attitudes that lasted the entire time. Despite it being wet and snowy they didn't leave any wet marks or any blemishes on anything. Everything came in dry and got to where it needed to go, and they even did it with a smile for the entire 10 hour day. They were also great with our 14 month old daughter and cat. The price was great, and the service was exceptional. Gilbert's Mountain Movers come highly recommended. read more

One word.....Excellent! I moved recently and had sourced a few movers, included asking for recommendations from co-workers. Had a number of positive reviews come back for Gilbert's Movers. When I called I spoke with one of the owners, Jeff. He came and did a visual of my place then provided me with a written estimate. Jeff and his staff did an amazing job! I can't speak highly enough about this company! The team (Mason, Max and Wayne), were on time, very friendly and professional, and extremely efficient! They packed up my house and moved my belongings to Medicine Hat, then unpacked everything and got me set up nicely. I have a number of antiques, and they wrapped everything up so carefully, that everything was in perfect condition upon arrival. They did all this in one day (3 hour drive each way, plus packing up and unpacking). We had Charlie, Dustin, Mark & Wayne help us move. They were very careful, respectful, and professional throughout a long day of heavy lifting and sorting where to put all our things as we attempted to downsize. They even put felt pads on some of our furniture so it wouldn't scratch the wood floors. Gilbert's price was very reasonable for the amount of work that was done. And we had absolutely no damage to walls, furniture etc. Stacey and Chris were also very friendly and super good with packing everything well! My mom used Gilbert's Mountain Movers and did an amazing job. The movers were hard workers, kind, great with animals and very careful with all of her things. My husband and I also used them. We had them move our house into a storage POD and the work they did to make sure everything was safe during transportation was amazing. The movers arrived more or less on time - were efficient. The size of the move was underestimated so a 2nd truck and crew were dispatched. So we had 5 guys hustling to get us moved. Great care was taken with our furnishings. Since we had our daughter's furniture to move - some of the larger /bulkier pieces had to shift from the garage to the basement. They guys handled "that wrinkle" well and in the end finished on time. Troy / Brad / Dispatch contacted us several times as follow-up before and during the move. Mountain Movers did my move way back in 2009. A Facebook post prompted me to give a review on Yelp so here it is. At that time they were less expensive than anyone I called. They packed all my stuff into the truck precisely and nothing was damaged! They were exceptionally polite and very hard working.
