This Vietnamese restaurant is in a small shopping center with several other Asian restaurants as well, and has plenty of parking in the lot. First off, the folks who work here are very kind and attentive. I was quickly seated, and given a rundown of the menu before the waitress left to get water and utensils. When they returned in 3 minutes they were ready to take my order, and were receptive to my requested modifications to the dish. My steaming hot pho arrived about five minutes after I ordered it. The broth has a great flavor, and didn't seem too salty or oily. The aromatics were fresh, clean and plentiful. My only critique is that the noodles were about 15% overcooked. The restaurant uses noodles that seem a little more substantive than what I'm normally served, which I really liked. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience and I'd consider returning to try their other dishes.

Plenty of street parking available and the storefront had lovely plants at the entrance. Walking in felt a little crowded and awkward because of the small entryway. But it did look like they have a few booths, tables, window seating, and even a bigger private room in the back. The lunch specials were $9.99 which was an amazing value for sure! I got the Happy Bimbim Bap with chicken and my hubby got the Spicy Pork Bento Box (the bigger one for $15) The friendly staff set up our table and gave us all hot and freshly made green onion pancakes which was a nice touch! (Although it was a little too oily) Our food came out super fast - within 10 minutes of ordering?! The kids and I enjoyed all the veggies and egg for my bimbim bap but the chicken were cut until small pieces were just ok. My husband did enjoy his Spicy Pork with a good amount of spice (they asked him if he wanted spicy) and came with potstickers, California rolls, rice, and a side salad. My daughter actually really loved the green bean banchan and the daikon and kimchi were super delicious too! The owner came to our table to say hi to the kids and each table got watermelon as dessert (the Asian way!) She was so nice and offered extra watermelon for the kids if they wanted it. It also looked like they do a lot of local community work with the homeless and were super involved in providing food to those that need it. Such a lovely local restaurant. If you're in the area definitely come give it a try!

The meat was incredibly flavorful, and everything else in the box was delicious too. I've always loved bento boxes because they feel like the perfect portions of a little bit of everything. And I have to mention the people who work here, they are SO nice. Like genuinely, incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I think this was only my second time here since moving to Salem three years ago, and I'm not sure why we don't come more often. Definitely going back!

Everything is immaculate and very nicely decorated. Once we were seated we were provided with an extensive menu of dining options. Everything on the menu looked incredible! I had difficulty choosing one thing, so I chose TWO! I chose the Banh Mi sandwich and the Wonton Noodle Soup. I love the type of rolls the sandwich was served on. The outside is crisp and flaky while the inside is soft and chewy. I asked for chicken as the meat choice. I enjoy how the carrots and cucumbers are sliced in a square straw. I think that provides a nice texture in every bite. The wonton noodle soup was delicious. I've never had soft wontons before. They've always been crispy nibbles on a side plate. I like that in this dish they were part of the soup. I was a little disappointed in the vermicelli noodles though. They were nicely done and very tasty, but there were so many that they clumped together and were difficult to get a bite of without getting a whole mouthful. Also of note were the drinks. I chose the pineapple tea and it was MARVELOUS! All in all, lunch was an amazing experience and I will always remember that meal with my stepmom.

GETTING HERE:…read more (Traveling); Located next to Dollar Tree in Salem. Yelp has the address correct on the app. MOOD: Getting ready for green curry! Ready to grub hard. REVIEW: This was a NO-GO. So dissatisfied and disappointed in this experience! Food: I had ordered the Green Curry level 0. Had minimal flavor but/and was terribly over-watered down to meet my request of mild, hence the lack of flavor. I ordered brown rice that she forgot to bring out. 1/5 Mango Sticky Rice: It had OK flavor in the rice but mango wasn't ripe and was tough to cut. 1/5 Shrimp Pad Thai: My guest didn't enjoy it at all. 1/5 The chicken satay was OK, but my guest had to prepare - herself! - the lettuce wraps. She was served a wedge salad (the lettuce) and had to create the wrap herself. She said it was filled with salt. 1/5 Service: Oh. My. Rude. Unfriendly. Didn't smile. The language barrier was PROFOUND and it was very uncomfortable for our group. She didn't understand our questions and couldn't respond appropriately. It was horrible. Ambiance: It was clean inside and is painted purple inside. Interesting. I heard GREAT things about this place. So bummed. Eat here with caution. Hoped for better!

They told us to call them later that day as they were getting a shipment so they will have it ready for us. It was a little pricey, but it is a small market so I am willing to support! I haven't tried their Boba drinks in the back as I noticed they use some powder flavoring which I'm not a fan of. I will, however, buy my other necessities.
