Great place for Vietnamese food. I love their pho, bahn mi and grilled pork. They also have some other ethnic influences mixed here and there. Like they have the Spanish soda, Jarrrito's. You can add a chinese donut (it's a savory long piece of fried dough) that you can dip into your pho (not a typical chinese or viet thing but it works!). I have been going to Super Pho for years. It is my go to Pho place. The other night I went in and ordered my standard asking which meat-flank or brisket- had the least fat. I was told flank so I got that. What came to my table looked like what's cleaned up in a butcher shop at the end of the day. Full of white hard fat and skin? and gristle I'm not sure what it all was but it was gross. I picked out the weird parts and put them on another plate and asked the waiter what was going on. Guy came out of the kitchen with a beautiful bowl of brisket no fat. Nobody took the gross plate of stuff away. When I asked at the end how I could get that from the beginning the waiter said that his colleague had said to order with no fat. I explained that I thought that's what I had done. No apology, no discount, no offer of a free bowl next time. I may give them one more chance . read more

The food is the only good thing about this place because the service is consistently bad. This is the second time I've had this experience. The first time, employees were standing around with AirPods in, which I normally wouldn't care about, but it became a problem when I was being ignored. This time, I called multiple times to place a to-go order and no one answered. When I got to the store, I even called while standing there and watched them let the phone ring without answering it. This place has no issue with charging rather uncompetitive prices for substandard lunch dishes that appear to be phoned in. The flavors in the Bún gà nướng chao I ordered were notably lacking, as were the ingredients typically found in this dish. They couldn't be bothered to cut the somewhat undercooked and bland chicken into bite size pieces. Instead, they were okay with throwing in large, lukewarm and visually unappealing slabs. The sauce was the best aspect of this meal, although it too was underwhelming. And the amount they provided wasn't enough for the size of the dish. Adding insult to injury were the egg rolls that had a stale, burnt flavor and dripped grease when pulled apart. Lastly, being circled by houseflies making their way about the restaurant didn't really make the experience any more enjoyable. Quite the opposite, as you can imagine. Will not be returning, as it just doesn't seem worthwhile to gamble another $25. read more

I had a pho and pot stickers. Both were excellent. The small size is a good lunch portion and I was able to eat tue whole thing without feeling too full. The pot stickers are delish. Great crunch around the entire thing and served with a generous portion of sweet dipping sauce. The service was friendly and quick. I was acknowledged as soon as I entered and was seated immediately. Bo Kho is usually a dish made for special occasions and not on the menu at many Vietnamese restaurants, so we were super excited when we saw it on the menu at Super Pho! Place was fair packed at 7:45pm we sat down and ordered 1A (salad roll) and 2- #6 pho Dac biet (large) The salad roll look good but the outer rice paper was so tough and chewy, which meant it was prepared sometime ago and has dried up. #6 pho noodles- large portions w decent amount of meat (proteins) and noodles. But the broth was very disappointing, it was missing the authentic Pho flavoring. Broth does not taste like long simmer beef bone broth, tasted like straight up instant packaged beef broth. This was one on my favorite places for pho, but we have seen the customer service declined over time. This last time, they had us waiting for a long time before talking our order. They will take the orders from other people who came after us, and the waitress will just go by us and ignored us. I had to let her know that we were ready to order. This is an updated review from the one several years ago. Overall, the new renovations are great. Much more modern and opens up the venue much more, I think it's still the same number of seats though but now it's not so tight. Food..... this is a hard one. Not sure if overall the food has gotten worse or if it was an off day. I am writing this the same day I ate. I did get the grilled pork spring rolls which was good, their apps have never been an issue. It was a good size and packed with pork and they didn't skimp! It's the pho that I was very disappointed by. They put way too much all spice, it was pungent. It over powered everything else. Very disappointed. The noodles were mushy and over cooked. The slices of meat were uneven. Some were tiny and others were huge. The proportion of protein to noodles was good though. It was a sad visit. The renovations were cool to see but the food was just not up to par. I did get a fried rice to go so we shall see how that fairs but probably will not be back. Happy eating. Super Pho reminds me of Kanye West. There are some gems in his discography, but his controversial character, unfortunately, taints the beauty of his art a bit. At Super Pho, there are a bunch of hits and misses on the menu. The side dishes are solid; spring rolls and egg rolls are two appetizers you can never go wrong with. However, the main dish, the Pho (obviously), is depressingly mediocre. You would think a restaurant named "Super Pho" would in fact have super good pho, but the steak is bland and slightly dry, the meatballs have the texture of my shoe's soles, and the broth is sometimes weirdly sour tasting. Sadly, with the bad pho, I don't care about the side dishes; it makes me not want to return. All in all, Super Pho is fine for a quick bite... but I would be weary about the pho. This has always been one of my favorite spots to hit while in town. The pho is consistently good and I love their salad rolls. They have an ok (not great) boba selection. They are frequently out of many of their flavors and took one of my favorites, the avocado shake, off the menu completely. The service is hit or miss. Sometimes they are attentive, sometimes you could be doing cartwheels to try to get leftover boxes. Service is always prompt, even when it is busy the turn around Wait is only 5 to 10 minutes at best! We always order to go since we don't live in bumville (Salem). It's an okay pho restaurant for salem. I have only got pho here ( combo and the #8). The soup is pretty flavorful, but the toppings in the soup for the most part is a miss. The meat in the soup are almost like scrap meat, very shredded or unchewable. I had to spit out most of my meat since I couldn't chew past some of the parts. My friend got the #7 which is the round steak pho. That's mostly just the thin sliced steak. I would get that next time to avoid all the inedible meat. We also got the fried pork spring rolls #5Awhich they overstuff with the noodles and shredded lettuce. The peanut sauce is decent. I've never had spring rolls with shredded lettuce... but I realized I'm not a fan of it. They have both blended and regular milk tea boba. I think on certain days it's decent. Today's boba was pretty hard though and tasted like it was heated up from previous nights before. I might try the rice dishes if I come back. But for the pho... I would probably stick with #7. I would also agree with some of the other reviewers, the service here is very robotic/transactional where they pretty much take your order and bring your food... but not much else. read more

I've never been more disappointed to eat bun bo. Maybe I was too desperate for some good spicy beef broth, and being new to town I gave this place a chance. It was terrible. The broth was flavorless, the noodles were still uncooked and hard. The meat was tough and the slices were half an inch thick. I also ordered their grilled pork spring roll, which was decent but it was mostly noodles and 20% actual meat. If you come here don't make my mistake and order the bun bo.
