Additionally, I got the impression she may have been using an unclean drill bit on my fingers originally before another technician came over half way through and they talked for a while, pointing at my nails and the drill, before he gave her a container of new bits saying "clean" on it. The final look turned out fine enough I guess, but it felt unsanitary, painful, and like she didn't care at all about them looking even or the shape I wanted. Bad experience and not the look I was hoping for my event.

My first visit to Noir Nails was based on a recommendation from a family member. I decided to give…read morethem a try for my birthday since I wanted to do something outside of my usual. I made an appointment but unfortunately was delayed so I tried to reschedule online. I discovered that you can't make any changes to your reservation within 2 hours of the service so I just walked in about 15 minutes past my appointment time and let them know what happened. They were very accommodating and set me up with a nail tech immediately. Sophia did an excellent job on my nails. I showed her a pic of my inspiration and she did her interpretation that came out even better than the original picture. Sophia was very friendly and we chatted throughout my service. The salon is very nice with plenty of table and pedicure bowls for services. They also have a coffee bar and offer a variety of beverages including wine, cocktails and refreshers. I did not partake in any of the beverages and it seemed like a cross contamination risk to have drinks available in a place where nail services are being performed. Others may enjoy this, it's just not for me. The price was a bit more than I normally pay for my nails, but considering the excellent customer service and the ability to execute nails designs, I would come here again when I'm wanting to splurge or for a special occasion.

I only get clear gel on my nails for the most part. I had an issue once with them because my latex gloves kept turning my nails brown. She changed the brand of gel to see if that was the issue. IT WAS THE ISSUE! She fixed the problem. She is so thoughtful and smart. She does your nails as she talks like you have been best friends for years. I love that. I feel so comfortable when I go here. The salon she is in is always clean and smells fresh. That is rare in a hair salon what with perms and such, but it does. It always looks neat and tidy. I am a huge fan of this place. She even fit me in for a quick fix randomly when I was dealing with talons. It wasn't a pretty site, but she had me fixed up and out the door in 5 minutes that day. I felt so special. If you need your nails done, give her a call. Tell her Chad sent ya.

When I've gone to other salons for SNS, within 2 weeks one usually chips or they just don't keep. I'm going on three weeks with this set and they still look so good. Clearly my nails have grown out some so I'll need to get a new set in another two weeks. I'll definitely be going back to this salon and can't wait! They also have a much bigger selection of colors for all nail services that any other salon I've been in here in lex. I also really love how clean the place is!
