Stay away from Juanita's Jewelry Store. I went to get my wife's ring resized into a bigger one, and they completely deformed the ring. When confronting the lady about the issue, she said that's how it was given to her but it's not true. Her ring was perfectly shaped, until I picked it up. I complained to the owner, and she said that she was repairing the ring at home when suddenly her cat grabbed it and tossed it inside the sink garbage disposal when it was spinning. read more

Totally a waste of time. I was embarrassed to even go in. It is certainly not the best place to shop. Stores are crowded together, it wasn't at all taken care of and their "food court", good gosh should I draw up an investigation here or what? I remember back in the day when the Supermalls were just a concept and when they came on, I was excited. But I guess back than, stores would take pride in their merchandise vs now. Everything seems so crammed together and so not worth me getting a headache every step I take and have someone basically beg me to buy something from their kiosk. No, I don't want baby shoes, does it look like I have bay bay kids all snot nosed hanging onto my shirt? Basically I will try to be kind and say, so not worth it. This Super Mall has businesses that have separate stores and one building shared with independent vendor booths selling electronic auto parts, jewelry, cell phones, religious items, toys, and clothes. There's also herbal stores, 2 latin restaurants, a juice bar, and an income tax stand inside. This particular building has security podium and security car patrolling the mall's parking lot. Latin music blasted throughout this building. Can haggle for cheap prices on items, some places no exchanges & no refunds after purchase; Buyers beware! With these types of places, it's best to navigate through the sides and work your way through every aisle to every booth. It's kind of like a flea market with booths crammed together. Each booth is crammed like a hoarders room, I have no problem with that when I can save a lot for items, esp not about name brands. read more

Super Mall doesn't exactly resemble a typical "mall" like the Water Tower Place, Westfield Old Orchard, or Woodfield. Each store inside is an individual kiosk. In other words, there's no local, regional, or national stores you are familiar with. Each kiosk is rented, merchandized in whatever fashion they want, and can potentially cause someone to feel claustrophobic since a kiosk is rather tiny and cramped. Hubby has never seen a "mall" like this, yet this type of place is everywhere in Taiwan, the country I spent the first fifteen (15) years of my life at. The types of kiosks at the Super Mall are consisted of fine and fashion jewelry, electronics, western apparel, footwear, and accessories, junior clothing, vitamins, and other miscellaneous things I failed to notice while hubby and I were browsing through. There is also a Mexican eatery and a snack shop immediately to the left upon entering. Many stores appeared to be selling similar merchandize. I didn't pay a close attention to the prices on similar items at different kiosks, but I believe the owners and clerks would probably be willing to accept your bargaining or bartering if you offer them a deal or some sort. Since most kiosks cater to the local Hispanic community, it wouldn't hurt to be somewhat proficient in Spanish. Knowing Spanish or even speaking some is beneficial in the city of Chicago anyways. They do have restrooms, but utilize them at your own risk. read more

I came here with my little sister. She wants to play with the kids. So we came here this morning. There are lots of kids inside playing. I sat in the waiting area while looking at her. She happily playing tl other kids. She also made new friends. She's too hyper and every minute I call her to wipe her back and her neck. After an hour I told her that we will be back and we ate first. She said yes since she was also tired and hungry at the same time. We went to the food court and ordered her favorite carbonara and some ice cream. She enjoys eating those and it tastes delicious. We went back to the play area after an hour of eating. We go home by 2. She had a great experience here. We'll definitely be back here again. read more

Not sure if this should turn into a segment. I have so many horror stories about this place that it would take me years until I point out every flaw this place has. I've gotten my ear pierced here once and boy was it something I regretted for months. I got the worst infection I could possibly get. Now some of the stuff I've bought here does not last at all. The only stand I trust is the one that's a stand away from the entrance. It's in the middle hallway. It sells shoes. I can get converse here at a great price and if you bargain with them they will lower the price. The animals they sell here are in poor health and I wonder if there is a way to call some animal cruelty number to get them taken away. They have a macaw that's in the poorest condition it could be in. I have so much more to say but I do not have the strength to type anymore. I'll give an update if I ever feel motivated enough. Do not go to Juanita's Jewelry repair at super mall they stole my sons bracelet. And blamed it on a divorce, the manager of the place (some lady) doesn't care she sits in her office all day ignoring calls. I guess the husband and wife of the jeweley place are going thru a divorce and the husband blamed the wife for taking the jewelry safe key. They gave me 3 different stories...So after calling him his name is Mario, cell number is (773) 403-3900. He told me to call his ex wife, Marivel, she works now at Buyers Flea Market line M-L store 26-27 she has blonde hair and her name is Marivel number is (312) 983-0631. Anyways there goes basic info that took me months to get... any who I called Marivel and told her to give me my sons bracelet back in which I had paid $300 for 14k Gold... she said she would give me a replacement.. she blamed her ex husband and this has been back and forth for about 4 months. I was so fed up all I asked was for them to write my sons name on the bracelet and in the end I got robbed, lied to, and hurt... I've never met such a corrupt, unprofessional, careless, unorganized small business in my life!!! Marivel replaced me the bracelet that was not even half the price I paid for. I know she kept it she stole a lot of jewelry and went to go open her new business. How are you able to look through a bunch of junk for something you might want to buy when you have to watch over your sholder the whole time making sure your wallet is not going to get snatched. Map's Electronics has absolutely horrible work and service. Recently went to this electronics shop to have a sound system installed. My door speaker went out that same day and they broke my door lock. They initially claimed they'd fix their faulty work, but continued to push me off until I physically showed up to their shop and argued with the manager to fix their bs work. The only good thing I can say about the Supermall is that the patrons there are willing to negotiate prices on some of their items so you dont have to pay full price for the things you want. On the negative side, most of the people that work there don't speak English or have a horrible accent which makes it difficult for me and other non-hispanics to be able to communicate. In additon, the hallways are a little narrow and sometimes the sellers try to talk you in to buying their merchandise, even if your not interested in what their selling! Which annoys the crap out of me! However if your looking to get a good deal on something, this is the place to go. read more

This place is more like a flea market. It reminded me of Swap-o-Rama except you don't pay admission. They have a little bit of everything: jewelry, clothing for the family, shoes, a barbershop, pet store, hell I think I saw a tattoo shop, although I didn't go investigate to be sure. I don't know how I feel about the pets for sale. Listen, it's important to note this is not the place for quality merchandise. I knew what to expect so, I really don't have a problem with it. I'd like to think that this type of place benefits people who need a cheap place to rent for business which I think is important.. *Shrugs* I will say that I used the ladies restroom and it was to my great surprise, very clean and fresh smelling. Worst mall in the city of Chicago!!!!!!! I left my moms wedding ring she gave to me to get the diamond replaced at Juanita's jewelry store located inside of the mall. I left my ring with a young lady named Andrea; she gave me a receipt & said come back tomorrow, I asked why so soon & she said it's cubic zirconia that they were putting in. I told her I wanted a diamond so she said ok come back Saturday bc it would take some time to order a diamond... Saturday comes around & no call. I called & no answer. I went up to the mall & they told me the business was closed (they weren't sure why) the lady in the main office whose name is Lisa was giving me the run around. She wasn't giving me a name of the owner, no number, nothing!!!!! Told me to come back Oct. 18th. So of course I call this morning, now they have a court date for ROBBERY & she doesn't know if they'll be allowed back. Who knows if I'll ever see my ring again. Every shop is basically the same and it is extremely easy to get lost becase every shop looks the same.. It doesn't look any different from when I was a kid in the 90s. Lots of low quality clothes and most of the vendor stands look the same. The food is more expensive than a stand-alone restaurant. The candy shop is very overpriced. But they all price things high because they know people will try to haggle. And all the vendors are extremely pushy and thirsty for a sale, rushing out like hungry dogs begging for scraps when I am merely walking through their aisle, not even glancing at their wares.The pet shop, like someone else said, is disgusting. Once my dad was foolish enough to buy fish from there and without my consent or knowledge decided to put them in my fishtank where all but one of them died (they where infected with ick) . I had expensive, show-quality guppies in there. There is really no reason to come here. read more
