Unfortunately, if it's a rainy weekend, this place will be closed because because all of the seating is pretty much outside. But when it's nice outside, and in SoCal, it's usually nice outside, this place is wonderful. I was really happy watching all the butterflies flitting about. Service is also really nice. Just go up to the bar and put in your order, they'll get to it asap. There's water around for you to grab if you're thirsty. But if you want more drinks, just go back up to the bar. My friend actually got sick on my last visit here (not alcohol related - health issues) and the bartender was so nice to us and understanding - we paid up and left right away when it happened. Def made me feel welcome to come back again. It was something not in anyone's control, and she knew that and understood it, and was really amazing. The minus star I give is honestly because the wine is a bit meh (I got a bottle of the sparkling wine). One, it's just not the best taste wise even when you add some orange juice, but the biggest thing is it's always warm when they hand it to you. I would raise it this star if they just served it actually cold - doesn't need to be the best wine, just cold would be nice. I might bring some ice in a pack with me next time actually lol. If it was cold, I think it would be way better. I haven't tried the pizza place here, but it's on my list for the next time I come up here. Overall, loved the ambiance and service. Matthew, the family's next…read moregeneration winemaker, poured for us their new Viognier and the Petite Sirah, both with fruit sourced from Lodi, CA vineyards. They made a nice effort for their first try at wines other than their Sherry, which they excel in. We mentioned that we have a 1992 Triple Cream Sherry and wondered how they were drinking now, should we open now or can it still sit, etc. Since they had one open in the back, they poured us a little bit and it was still fantastic! It was honestly one of the best Filipino dining experience I've ever had!! It was really amazing to dee a Filipino event that features authentic dishes along with a live music (2nd Verse Band.) Hosting this event at a winery in the heart of LA made it even more special! It was really nice to see Filipino culture represented and celebrated in such a beautiful setting. The food was absolutely spectacular!!! Huge shoutout to Chef Jo, Chef Peter and Chef Alem for putting together an amazing menu filled with dishes you don't typically find at most Filipino restaurants like the Picanha with Salpicao sauce, Pata Tim, and Cebuchon. You could tell that every dish that was served was thoughtfully prepared and not like it was just made to fill the buffet. There was also a complimentary wine which was a nice addition to the experience. Staff and service were also great. They were friendly, attentive and welcoming throughout the entire event. For more than twelve years, our group has gathered at the Third Street Wine Shop every Wednesday…read morenight. We were first introduced to one another by the previous owners, Mary and Jim, during one of their events--little did we know those introductions would grow into lifelong friendships. Over the years, our Wednesday Wine Nights became a tradition we all cherished. When we learned that the shop was going up for sale, we were understandably nervous. We wondered what would happen if it didn't sell--where would we go? And if it did sell, what if the new owners changed the shop in ways we didn't love? What if we didn't connect with them the way we had with Mary and Jim, who had become family to us? Then it happened, the shop sold. We were introduced to Maria and Veronica, and it was truly love at first meeting. They are two of the kindest, most welcoming women, and they have brought fresh ideas and wonderful energy to the shop. Our Wednesday Wine Nights continue today, and we are grateful to have gained new friends in Maria, Veronica, and their families, who help run this warm, family-operated business. The Third Street Wine Shop remains a place where you are welcomed the moment you walk in--where the owners make you feel like you're their only guests. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
