The food is not terrible but what brings down the rating is the price. You do not get a lot of food to really make sense. For example, food for 3 came out to almost $50 and I picked it up. I understand that the pandemic and inflation affected the prices but still, it is a bit high in my opinion for the quality or quatity of the food. The Mambo sauce is not the best and feels a bit more bland than others. The fries also don't have that crisp feeling to them. However, the other options are not too bad. Again, it's not bad food but it is not the best either. I will say that it is probably one of the best so far in the area though. Fried rice, fried chicken wings with mambo sauce, general tso chicken, and egg foo young. All east coast favorites done right! This little Chinese carry out can throw-down with the best chicken wings and mambo sauce. Also, I was surprised that all the food was nice and hot to go. Good balance of chicken and broccoli. The hot & sour soup was on the spicy side but I'm not complaining. Lady at the counter was pleasant and friendly. A lady was inside the restaurant asking to post a flyer supporting a community fundraiser which the owner agreed. Kodus for supporting the youth! I love small businesses especially when they produce quality and tasty meals. This place was recommended by a relative who is picky with food. She claims that the place is the cleanest carry out in town, so as we walked in my observation was at my utmost - clean, friendly, and awesome food. Highly recommended! read more

Food was fresh, not too salty or saturated with sauce, which is how I like it. Customer service was good over the phone and in person. The kitchen was not overly cluttered with stuff and it looked clean. I will be going back. I got to see how they cook their general tso chicken. So let's just say, I am kind of a Chinese food snob. Growing up in Fort Washington my family frequented House of Chang II on 210. It was awesome before management/ownership changed and eventually closed permanently. This seems to be the story for all of my old favorite local gems. I was heart broken when Graces Fortune in Bowie and Royal Jade in Greenbelt closed. I almost completely gave up on the thought of having Chinese anymore after the recent closings of Mings in DC and Peking Duck restaurant on Route1 in Alexandria. Where else would I fine good takeout Chinese that actually used real chicken? I have searched high and low for a local place that was clean and actually used real chicken. I have spent so much money on the search for real chicken in our local area only to cut into the mystery meat and find some unrecognizable protein. Well today things changed.... Yay! After explaining my journey to the family owned staff I was assured that they in fact used real chicken. Yes real chicken with great portions and it tasted awesome. The drought has ended... We ordered sesame chicken, general tso chicken, chicken wings, shrimp egg foo young and egg rolls and everything was delicious. I will do another review soon with pictures. I hope that this helps my fellow foodies find a reliable takeout spot with real and recognizable CHICKEN!!! read more

It's so hard to find good Chinese food in PGCounty but Super Eastern is it! My family and I normally would drive into DC or VA to get some good/authentic Chinese food but we lucked up on this gem. They have traditional and American Chinese food and it is good. No greasy egg rolls, great flavor, and they listen to make sure the spiciness is to your liking. This is our new close to home go to Chinese food spot! Oh and the lady who answers the phone is very nice with a pleasant attitude! read more

Delicious ! We were looking for a Chinese place near our house with good ratings. The review talking about real chicken got me. We ordered the general Tsos chicken, veggie rice, veggie lo mein, and spring rolls. Everything was pretty good. The veggies actually tasted the freshest I've had from a take out place. Also the portions are the generous and the time from calling on the order to picking up was pretty short. We will definitely be ordering from them again. read more

This is a good Chinese Restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious. Today was the third time I've been to this carry out Restaurant. My one complaint is they do not give enough sauce. this place is AMAZING. i've been scouring the DMV for authentic asian food and haven't had success, until now. this restaurant might not look like much from the outside, but that's why places like this are called hidden gems. the cashier was delightful, the cook had our 2 orders done in less than 20 minutes. i'm trying to think of a single downside to my visit, but there wasn't one! This is my favorite carryout. We lived in Temple Hills and this was our go-to spot. Our children were small and when they returned as adults. They still remembered them. I watched their children take our money when they could barely see over the counter. Now they are in college. We love this place and owners. read more

The customer service is seriously slacking; I called to pay for an order for my aunt and grandmother. As I informed the woman taking my order of my address, she immediately got an attitude with me and asked if I was paying in cash. I was startled by the sudden change in attitude and said no, I'm paying with card. She said that I called twice before and I now need to pay with cash. I've never called, my aunt called and something was wrong with her card. So I inform the woman that I'm a completely different person and that I will be paying for their order. She then states that I need to show ID and my credit card for the delivery; unfortunately I was not home. I understand that this is to protect my identity and I understand the restaurant protecting themselves, but I've never had to do this before with this restaurant. Also, her attitude, refusal to serve me, and her hanging up on me caused me to take my service elsewhere. I understand her irritation as well but she definitely could have handled the whole situation better and I will never order from here again. read more

Omg!!!! Best rib tips from a carryout I've ever eaten.!! They are sooo tender and flavorful plenty of meat not ALL bone like some places, and not drowning in syrupy sweet sauce. They give you a very generous portion (you'll have leftovers yum) and come with fried rice or fries. The fries are crisp and delicious!!! My son ordered the Szechuan beef, the beef strips are sooo tender and delicious!! My daughter got a cheese burger but would not share it with me so it must have been good she too loves the fries. Stay away... until the Chinese restaurateurs in our neighborhood step their game up - stop going to them! I've spent way too much money and had one terrible experience to many at this restaurant out of desperation. The food always tastes second - no, third rate. It is terrible that there isn't one Chinese take out restaurant in my area that I can be proud of, tell friends about and pick up a quick dinner for the fam.
