This place is very good Chinese food Great shrimp and good spare ribs. There wasn't a lot of long lines and the seats were comfortable. You can get a pot of tea with the meal. The only thing I would say is that if you plan on eating ice cream bring your own shovel it takes forever to use their little scoops and their is usually a line of people trying to dig from the bats of ice cream I finally gave up in just a fruit. As Chinese buffets go this place wasn't terribly bad. But, as Chinese buffets go this place wasn't terribly good either. The outside architecture looks like it was a former Elks club, or perhaps the set for a Flintstones movie. In fact, upon approaching it in our car I assumed it was closed because of all the overgrowth and lack of a front parking lot. But my wife assured me it was open (she had called ahead) so we went in. Inside, it was just as unusual. It was darkly lit, and it had a weird vibe to it. The staff were super friendly though and we took turns going up and exploring their many buffets. They seemed really crammed together and they had a lot of the usual options, though nothing stood out as great. Well, except for the apple pie turnovers, but that hardly would qualify as "authentic". Their seafood options were plentiful but not particularly good, and I didn't try many out of respect for my stomach. A lot of their deep fried foods were done well. If your food pyramid is comprised (or compromised) of building blocks of fat, sugar, carbs., over-cooked vegetables and topped with Jello that seems to defy the laws of physics then this place will be your new home. Everything was wiped down regularly and looked very clean. That being said, the quality was lower than what you would get at the mall and some of the food could have been a little warmer. The broccoli in the chicken & broccoli was enormous and wasn't very saucy. The lo mein was very plain. Egg rolls were small and overcooked. Instead of crab rangoon they had cheese wontons which actually weren't bad but it felt like they cheaped out. The dishes I enjoyed the most were not what I would typically order; honey chicken, bourbon chicken, and fried rice. Love getting in here early and get everything hot off the stove. Everything was ready, fresh and cooked to perfection. The servers are awesome and take your plates away and fill drinks fast. The second to last time I was here, which was in early August 2023, at approximately 5:30 pm on the weekend, they had only two (2) types of Sushi to select from, for a $15.99 dinner. Rest of selections were mediocre. Have been eating at other Asian restaurants since. This past weekend, I stopped in on Friday at 5:30 pm. They wouldn't give any of the patrons window seats. Low key place for traditional steam table buffet Chinese. Standard menu, nothing unusual, but decently cooked and enjoyable, if you want this sort of undemanding comfort food, like I do. Main problem is the place is worn in and battered. Evening is clean enough, but the vinyl seating is cracked and the table tops are scratched. Felt Cheated. - Lunch is 11.99 and dinner is 14.99 We arrived around 3:30 and only lunch stuff was out and available on the buffet. Awhile later, when we were almost finished, they started putting out dinner items like Spare Ribs and peel and eat shrimp with signs stating that these were 'for dinner'. We had none of the dinner items since we were already finished. We ended up being billed $14.99 per person anyway! I suppose we could have argued about it, but after eating what can best be described as mediocre food, we just wanted to pay and leave. This place used to be a Ponderosa Steakhouse back in the early 1990s. The buffet area is very bright with neon. The EG Super Buffet offers some of the traditional Chinese favorites, soups, sushi, salads, American dishes, pizza, shrimp cocktail, salmon, & crab legs. Some of the food is a bit of the greasy side, but very tasty. For dessert, there is a variety of Yasgur Farms hard ice cream, cake, cookies, apple strudel, jello, & fruit. They not only offer gloves but are very avid at making sure people wear them along with masks while fixing their plates. The food is great, always replenishing. They offer a great variety. The hostess was one of the friendliest people and always commented on my belly and the baby. My daughter is now 4 and we have been bringing her in for lunch since she was born. Decent all you can eat restaurant. The food is decent for cafeteria-style buffet, considering it is made in bulk and put on hot plates. The egg rolls were overdone, and the dumplings were greasy and overcooked, and everything was covered with a shiny sheen but I did not ask whether they use MSG or not. With all of the 3 & 4 starred reviews I decided to give Super Buffet a shot. Being new to the area and craving Chinese I was nearby (according to YELP) and stopped in. Did the 'walk around' before taking a seat and saw several dishes that looked tasty. That is where the fun ended. Of all of the food that I tried only the soup was HOT and that (hot and sour) lacked any real flavor. Everything else was either barely warm, room temperature or cold. Having worked in the restaurant industry in the past, I know the importance of keeping hot buffet foods hot... Sesame/Peanut Chicken should be hot, not cold like it came out of the fridge 5 mins ago. The sushi was good and COLD, but it did not taste fresh. As if it had been out all day. I hate wasting food, and nearly a full plate of food was thrown out as I could not bring myself to continue eating it. As much as I hate to say it... I mixed the food up on my plate to prevent it from being 'put back out', as that is the general feeling I began to get while sitting there. The server was friendly and seemed genuinely concerned that I did not care for the food, but when I mentioned the cold beef and chicken dishes I received only an "I'm sorry". By that time I decided that I would rather take my chances else where and I left. At just over $14 for the 'meal' it wasn't too expensive of a lesson.. but definitely would never recommend this establishment even for a 'cheap' meal. We wanted Chinese, so why not do it buffet style? We normally only eat at one buffet spot, so we wanted to try something different. In a way, I'm glad we did. The place is clean and has lots of booths and tables. It looks small from the outside so this was a nice surprise. There weren't too many other patrons when we arrived, so we went into a booth. One thing I immediately noticed when we walked in was that the prices weren't displayed, so I wasn't sure what we were going to pay. We did a walk through and all the staples were covered: rice, lo mein, general tso (and other kinds of chicken), dumplings, egg rolls, soup, etc. There is also a whole section of sushi. It looked fresh and tasted good. The food was warm and was changed out a few times while we were there. Some of the food however did taste a bit different than I've had in the past (which wasn't terrible, but threw me off). There is a sectuon of salad, fruit and pudding. Dessert is your choice (from about 5 flavors) of ice cream, cookies and/or brownie. Employees are friendly, attentive and were quick to refill beverages. An absolute horrific experience. The hostess was rude and questioned how old my kids were. I said two kids, three adults. My one daughter just turned 9 and when I said she was 8, (oops), she said no. It wasn't going to change the price of the buffet, but this crazy hostess gets in my daughter's face and tells, HOW OLD ARE YOU? My daughter freezes, I tell the hostess to never speak to my child like that. She proceeds to call me a liar. Somehow, we stayed and I simply said to her to not speak or follow my kids around, (she was doing this as they were trying to get food). I said look charge me for four adults, I don't care but back off. To say we are never eating there again is an understatement.
