The first time I went, it was a great experience. I loved my eyebrows. I always tip three or four dollars. This time I went and the young lady left a gap in the front of my eyebrow. I just noticed it right now. Usually the service is great, but just make sure to check before you leave.

Darn, our girl Katherine took my eyebrows off and they're uneven. I've grown my eyebrows out for the past year, so I was excited to have a fresh "canvas" and maximize their ability to CLEAN UP my eyebrows and leave them thick and shaped. Unfortunately, I'll have to start the process of regrowing them again. Pros: I've heard great things about Vida (who I intended to do my eyebrows). So, I am willing to come back for her and I can't judge the whole place off of one girl's service. Cons: I had to leave the with uneven brows. Ladies, eyebrows are a tough service to get. Remember there's nothing a little make up can't cover up.

If you're reading this.. go to Selda!!! I've been coming here for 10 plus years and have been seeing Selda for about half of that time. She's absolutely incredible! In the beginning I would go to whoever was available but always had bad experiences. Now that I've been seeing Selda I don't let anyone else touch my eyebrows. My eyebrows are already super thin so I've been working on growing them out for years and thanks to Selda she knows exactly what I want and what will look best! She's going on maternity leave until February or so but when she's back you have to ask for her! read more

As far as I can tell, Super Brows only does threading. If you've never done that, it hurts more than waxing (imo) but doesn't leave my skin red for hours like waxing does. Superbrows is located inside Grossmont center mall. It's in one of the side entrances between the AT&T store and Bath & Body Works. I've been here about 3-4 times and they have consistently done a good job. I've never said anything to them about what I want done except agreeing if they ask if I just want my brows cleaned up. Most of the time I just sit down and they start. If you are getting your eyebrows shaped for the first time you might want to go to a higher end spa that will listen to everything you want. If you're getting your eyebrows threaded for the first time, I'd recommend Beauty By Dolly in Hillcrest (the parking is annoying, the prices are higher, and you might need an appt, but they do a fantastic job explaining what they're doing). Super Brows is my new go-to place for a monthly clean up. read more

As a man I was very nervous at first to get my eyebrows threaded however after multiple girls told me that it was a good idea I decided to give it a try. As I walked in this place it was very clean and neat they also had good music playing which was relaxing and calming for someone who is pretty nervous about the first time. I went ahead and wrote my name down on the waiting list and the wait was not very long I would say about 5 to 10 minutes total. once I sat in the chair I let the young lady know that I wanted my eye brows masculine and natural looking but to clean them up. The process was quite quick however it was semi painful but it was not unbearable. It will definitely make your eyes water just a little . once she finished she gave me a mirror and I was very impressed with her work, my eyebrows did not look girly at all they remained manly yet very very clean and the whole time I was wondering why I never got my eyebrows done sooner!! I used to love coming here. They always did a good job. Recently, they changed their policy to make an appt. or to walk in. They request a ton of info from you now. Your birthdate? Your zip code? Your last name? If you make an appt. online, you have to give your credit card number. What a nuisance! No thank you. I just want my brows cleaned up without the invasion of privacy. I won't return until they stop asking for so much private info. read more

I've waited long enough to write a review for this place but I think it's time. I've been coming here for almost 2 years now & I love it!! At the beginning I had my eyebrows done by different girls, but now Martina is my girl!! She's awesome. I usually give an eyebrow place one chance...maybe two. If they ruin my brows, I never ever return. Because for me, one hair taken out of the wrong place will look like I have a hole in my eyebrows, b/c they're thick & dark. So...when I first moved here, I needed to find a threading salon; been threading them for years. Tried a few places, in El Cajon, even one in Hillcrest, but wasn't completely satisfied. Then I found Super Brows, I had them done but one of the girls, won't mention names. They came out good enough for me to return but still wasn't super impressed. Went back a few times til I had them done by Martina, she was really good, cleaned them really well; I didn't want the shape to be changed but they weren't trimmed enough to stand out. So the second time, I explained to her what I wanted, she listened..very patiently, did exactly I wanted, didn't thin them out, and after she's completely finished, even if I wanted her to take out another hair, or fix the shape in any way, she's more than happy to do it. She won't roll her eyes or show that she's irritated in ANY WAY! And yes, many ladies do that if you comment about something after they're finished (I mean in general, not specifically this salon). I have read a couple of reviews about this salon being dirty...WHAT!?!? It's really nice & clean and if you're bothered by them using the brush on your face to clean up the hair, you can just ask for a tissue! I am very satisfied with the service I receive at this salon & hope I would never have to look for another one. read more

When I was 15, my mom took me to some local salon to have my bushy eyebrows waxed. Well, I would have rather the bushy eyebrows over the terribly wonky, over-waxed brows that I left with. After that, I plucked my eyebrows for several years. That is, up until now. After hearing my girlfriends rave about the eyebrow threading that they do at Super Brows, I decided I was totally sick and tired of plucking and that I would give this place a shot. My eyebrows grow back fast, so I thought I'd take the chance. My first impression of Super Brows was that it's very very clean and the people who work there are friendly. I had no idea what to expect with the threading but I was absolutely shocked by how quickly the woman did my brows. It was like, zip zap and they were done. She asked me if I wanted to look in the mirror to see if I wanted anymore taken off and, hallelujah, they were perfect!! I was so pleasantly surprised with threading and by the obvious skills that this woman at Super Brows has. I'm a pretty big wuss and, although there was a little bit of pulling and pinching, it wasn't any worse than when I pluck at home. Maybe the woman at Super Brows is exceptionally gentle, I don't know, but I will definitely be back for another threading session. read more

I have been coming here to get my eyebrows threaded for years now & I will not go anywhere else. Super brows is absolutely the best if it's your very first time or trying someplace new this is 100% the greatest spot to go you will not be disappointed. Always amazing results with Martina. She knows exactly what you want and how to leave your eyebrows looking very flattering. My eyebrows are perfect every single time & I really do leave with confidence afterwards. I brought my teenage daughter in for her first eyebrow threading, and while her brows turned out great, the overall experience was disappointing. The staff didn't seem very welcoming, and the woman who helped us seemed disinterested. After we tipped a generous amount, we noticed her roll her eyes to a coworker, which felt really disrespectful. First impressions matter, and sadly, we didn't feel valued as customers. We'll be finding another place with better customer care. read more

Totally recommend Vida! I love this place. I used to wax, but after the damage it did to my skin... threading has been a life saver. All the girls are great, but Vida is my favorite! She is super quick and gets my brows on point without any pain! Honestly couldn't recommend any other place to go to.. go here! Nice people, clean, and they are are great at what they do!
