Great meal at great restaurant and I look forward to coming back soon to try some other food here…read more A couple reasons for this not being a five-star review, first of all somewhere along the way our server left and another server took her place and we're not sure why but once the other server took over which luckily was right before dessert things slowed down to a snail's pace. It took forever for us to get our desserts and then the same to get our check. Not really sure why our server disappeared halfway through the meal, but she did. Secondly, I ordered a catfish sandwich which was delicious but I ordered it with no tartar sauce and our server said that that's the way she put it down but the kitchen didn't prepare it that way they prepared it with tartar sauce slathered all over the sandwich which I promptly sent back. Not being a big oyster fan, I did get a couple of raw oysters and actually really enjoyed them and will be back to have more in the future. My mom had the snakehead which was very delicious but also a very small portion for the amount that we paid. The website indicated that for those who are gluten-free, like my mom, the menu had stars on them but the menu that we had did not nor was there a menu with stars indicating what is or could be made gluten free. The ambiance of the restaurant was really nice. We chose to eat outside because it wasn't too hot and we could sit under cover and enjoy the beautiful June weather. It was nice inside but it didn't look to be a very large area inside and could have been very noisy with the high ceilings. Not sure willl try in the future and report at that time. There are many things on the menu that I want to try so I will definitely be back. If you love oysters come here and they won't disappoint. I definitely recommend giving this place a try. Aside from the two issues that I experienced, they were minor in the scheme of things and I will definitely be back.

The hostess who answered was friendly and took my order without issue over the phone. Prices on the online menu were outdated - my total was about $10 higher than what was listed online. No problem. The food was ready in about 15 mins. For $110, we got 2 lobster tails, 2 clusters of snow crab, and 2 lbs of headless shrimp, plus corn and potatoes. Potatoes were kinda large, would have preferred smaller ones, but they were cooked through. Only got 2 pieces of corn, but was well cooked. Shrimp and crab were good - lobster was overcooked and stringy. The sauce was lacking in flavor - and we got the hook and reel blend - we did get it mild, but I still expected the sauce to have flavor. Overall, it wasn't bad, but there are better places to get seafood boils from!

Our bartender Kenny also happened to be our server, and he did a phenomenal job. Even while bartending, he still made sure we were taken care of. The cute bags they are cooked in made it ideal to take away and eat at home. I think we'd order here regularly if we lived in the area. I am very picky about my seafood. While I love shellfish, my typical response is "meh"...l'm always chasing GREAT seafood. I liked this more than the well known sit down restaurant we tried earlier in the week. While I assume they cook from frozen based on the type of crab served, it tasted very fresh and much better than other "cooked from frozen" other restaurants serve. Firstly, the crab dip tasted dry, despite it being a dip. The crab wasn't very noticeable either. The main proteins we were served were either too salty, dry, or just kind of bland. They also didn't give us enough serving utensils. Lastly, the desserts served were individual sized portions, but we were told to share them "family style" since not everyone got a dessert. Now, this could've 100% been on my workplace for how they selected the menu. But regardless, both desserts were not great. The strawberry sorbet tasted overpoweringly like strawberry jam, whereas I prefer and expect a fresh strawberry flavor.
