If I could give ZERO stars I would…read more Lincoln Tech is a SCAM wrapped in a school logo. Straight up. They lie to your face during enrollment, hype everything up, then once you're locked in and paying? Good luck, you're on your own. This place is DISORGANIZED AS HELL. Schedules always changing, nobody knows what's going on, and every time you ask a question you get a different answer -- if anyone even answers you at all. Admin acts like helping students is a personal inconvenience. Teachers? Some don't teach for . You're basically Googling and YouTubing everything while paying THOUSANDS. Equipment is busted, outdated, or straight up missing, but they still expect top-tier results like this is MIT or something. And GOD FORBID you're in pain, stressed, or dealing with real life. They don't care. No support. No understanding. Just passive-aggressive attitudes and "figure it out" energy. This school will drain your money, your time, and your mental health. They don't care about students. They care about ATTENDANCE NUMBERS and TUITION CHECKS. That's it. If you're thinking about Lincoln Tech -- RUN. Community college is cheaper, better organized, and actually gives a damn. Worst decision I've made.

Would highly recommend that you guys look into different tech schools and not get forced or pressured into a 35k loan

ADDENDUM to the Previous Review:------…read more VETERAN FRIENDLY: All the DD-214 avails you is the GI-Bill (Your EARNED money), and qualify for Day-Student Status, that's where it ends. I suggest you wear your military ribbons while in Khakis, especially if you're a new student on campus. It will save you getting written UP and confrontation(s) by overzealous cadets for failure to run the MUG Path or some other MUG BS. DRINKING: PLEASE CONTROL YOU'RE DRINKING SPECIALLY WHILE ON CRUISE BEST IF YOU DON'T DO IT AT ALL. YOUR INABILITY TO CONTROL YOUR LIQUEUR WILL BE USED AGAINST YOU BY THE REGIMENT. CRUISE: SUCK IT UP and "Embrace the suck" - if you a 3rd class, 2ND CLASS CRUISE; CADET-SHIP like your life depends on it, then jump straight to your 1st Class...Suck it up!!! ......you're short. THIS IS A SCHOOL WITH huge potential, HOWEVER IN ITS CURRENT STATE, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE SEEKING TO ATTAIN THEIR 3RD MATES LICENSE, ON THE GROUNDS THAT THE SCHOOL, HAS STRAYED EVEN FURTHER AWAY FROM ITS MISSION by bringing in people in the regiment who have no background in education and/or stepped foot on a ship or have any understanding of the Maritime industry. Including, hiring more over-paid administrators (you can find some of their Luxury cars parked near the "Sally Port") rather than hiring more USCG license teaching faculty. The Regiment just knows how to instill fear in cadets, promote brown-nose's and demand Blind obedience....that unfortunately is what they call leadership. They are more concerned whether or not you are eating in the TIV in a boiler suit or if you didn't shave this morning. At the end of the day & AFTER all uniform inspections and other regimental chicaneries are done; ...MARITIME remains a University....a place of HIGHER learning.... Academics, therefore, come first, NOT the regiment. The school spends more resources on hiring CLUELESS military staff to bark at cadets and administrators with nice luxury cars rather than focusing resources on improving and increasing the number of license classes, Labs, Simulators and improving the quality & availability of tutors at the learning center. Every semester students are clamoring just to get into the license classes they need, and only 35% of the seniors pass the USCG license on their first try. According to the school's announcements, about 220 students graduated in 2013- 2014. Maritime has a student body of about 1800. Moreover, according to NYS Education Department figures: * 21.8% of entering freshmen graduate in 4 years. * 36.2% graduate in 5 years and * 44% graduate after six years. No public records are available on license students VS non-license students graduating. Including stats on Cadets who were just given a degree and no license because they were forced out by the regiment. SUNY Maritime does not make that info public....I am sure the stats are even more dismal in that regard. http://collegemeasures.org/4-year_colleges/institution/suny-maritime-college-ny/scorecard/strategic-measures/ Something is very wrong when that few graduate in a given year....You can't JUST blame students with those numbers. Also, keep this in mind, that YOU will NOT be able to benefit from the STCW classes you already completed because as a policy the school will not give you any certificate unless you completed the WHOLE program. This School policy is a "Restraint of trade"," Monopolistic" and just plain unlawful in my opinion. It gives the school too much power which I have seen used more than often.....quite arbitrary and capriciously by the regiment and puts you the student/cadet in a very bad situation should anything go wrong for any reason. You have little to no legal recourse unless you have the means of paying for expensive lawyers to fight the state of New York. You cannot just go to another MARITIME school and finish as you would in any other educational endeavor. The Coastguard does not accept YOUR transcript as proof of completion... It's the Class completion certificate they only accept. Also, keep in Mind that your STCW course work is only good for five years after completion of an STCW class. With all these factors in mind and with the overzealous regimental staff who seems to CONFLATE Maritime with Annapolis; makes for an educational experience that in my opinion is not warranted particularly given that students have to pay or take up loans (only private loans if you're a grad-license student) for an ever-increasing tuition to attendant this school. I write this review to save a future parent and child the aggravation, discrimination, and racism that occurs within this school. I was not the only poc student that experienced this, and unfortunately I probably wasn't the last. I experienced several acts of racism, in front of faculty and behind closed doors, and each case practically fell on deaf ears. The administration will make it seem as though the situation has been handled but that's the farthest from the truth. The same perpetrators will still be rewarded in the end, if they are favored by faculty. The faculty also has a hand in the racism as well, whether they openly support it, reward the aggressors in the end, or commit their own acts of micro or macro aggressions. I say all this to say, save your time, and save your money. The education is also subpar at best. Even if you are not a poc student, if you don't feel like wasting your money, don't send your child here. The most they'll learn is the lyrics to sweet Caroline . Not trying to be rude at all, but it's the truth. Do with this information what you will.

St. Joseph's continues to serve the needs of deaf children from infancy through 14 years of age. Although I was learning ASL while younger, I didn't follow through, and I wanted to get more teaching than I was from YouTube University, so I started taking lessons here. I can't speak for the entire building as I haven't been through it, but I can speak towards the staff that I've come in contact with, and they are so patient and supportive. I've really enjoyed learning there. I'm sure the students are all in extremely great hands!
