If I could give ZERO stars I would. Lincoln Tech is a SCAM wrapped in a school logo. Straight up. They lie to your face during enrollment, hype everything up, then once you're locked in and paying? Good luck, you're on your own. This place is DISORGANIZED AS HELL. Schedules always changing, nobody knows what's going on, and every time you ask a question you get a different answer -- if anyone even answers you at all. Admin acts like helping students is a personal inconvenience. Teachers? Some don't teach for . You're basically Googling and YouTubing everything while paying THOUSANDS. Equipment is busted, outdated, or straight up missing, but they still expect top-tier results like this is MIT or something. And GOD FORBID you're in pain, stressed, or dealing with real life. They don't care. No support. No understanding. Just passive-aggressive attitudes and "figure it out" energy. This school will drain your money, your time, and your mental health. They don't care about students. They care about ATTENDANCE NUMBERS and TUITION CHECKS. That's it. If you're thinking about Lincoln Tech -- RUN. As a current student at this school and with the new school president, not much has changed from what is see in the past comments left on yelp with the exception of mr.degraff and like 4 other teachers, none of them can give 2 shits to actually stand up and teach something but are quick to take off ec points if your a minute late. All the jacks are basically broken. If it wasn't for degraff having my intro class fix some of them none of them would be working, now the parking lot is getting over crowded because I feel like they're just trying to get more students in here, barely any shop time at all if you're there first session cause you need to be out by 10:10am, this school needs a lot of work and right now they are just focused on fixing it cosmetically, 35,000 is a lot of money to be paying for this bs, waste of time and money regret my decision of coming here read more

my son went to that school in September 2022 and finished November 2023, I was very surprise of the complete 180 this school made after my son started attending, nothing that was said in Orientation was what it was everything was a lie, and we was never told that if the student fail a class that they would be paying 2500 for that class, Never.... Now after he finished two months later a bill came in for 2500 for a class he failed and he repeated the class and pass it, but was still charged even tho we was not awaired of that., the school was and is so corrupted that they sign Students name on applaciation and later down the line telling students that question it, that they did sign or Initial it, I know my son would not sign anything without reaching out to his parents first, I am and will be hiring an attorney to look into this matter, because why should my son be responsible for something that was not explain to him in Oriantation or during the school year. My son share a Video with me and his dad, of what was going on there at Lincoln Tech, with the Instructors in the class room, they were discouraging the students that the school is not a good school, and they was even telling the students that the school don't help them to find jobs, and smoking and student all on they phones, with instructor not saying anything just joining in with the students, lots of cursing, my son went there for a year at that price they charge and he only got to go into the work shop for 3 times that year he did not learn anything, but just basic, like oil change and changing tire and replacing it. THIS SCHOOL IS GARBAGE!!!! Katherine HATES her job and takes it out on the student's. All the equipment is TRASH!!! You dont get what you paid for. 35 thousand to get a textbook and have a master technician grade your quizzes. You're paying basically 35,000+ for a parking spot and wifi! None of the students in this school are prepared for the real world, 9-10 students cant take an engine out of a car or a transmission, because they prioritize your shirt being tucked in than your education. Its not the instructors who make the experience here awful its the higher ups lacking desire to upgrade or replace faulty and damaged equipment that wont let the instructors do their job correctly. As parents we would like the best for our children and when my son decided he wanted to start the Automotive Technical program at LT, I was only too happy to make the necessary financial arrangement. LT promised job placement if one were to graduate top of the class with excellent attendance. Well needles to say after one year of financial hardship because I paid out of pocket, and my son graduating with an 3.8 GPA and almost perfect attendance he is out of a job. LT did manage to get him a 2 month internship at a dealership but he was let go after being there for 2 months because the dealership "did not have room for him". While he was at the dealership he was assigned to valet duties and not on any duties he was actually there for. Since then my son has contacted and even met with career services at LT Queens with repeated promises of helping him to get in with another dealership and even a continuing education program, but to date still no positive response with regards to a position. While attending LT, I paid out of pocket which was $2800. a month, making this sacrifice since both myself and my son were under the impression that LT was a sure thing. The school went crazy if my check was a day late after the 1st of the month, this leaves me with the impression that their main focus was money....with false promises. I am gravely disappointed with the lies and false promises and the callus treatment of those gullible enough to choose LT as a career investment. Parents think twice before deciding to enroll your young men and women into this program. LT is a money hungry institution which dashes the hopes and dreams of anyone who trust them. read more

I can say now this school is awesome and helpful and they teach everything more then what you do need especially the teacher they have a lot of experience that they want give out to you. Anyone that gives this school a good review is honestly working for the school. As an 18 year old kid you feel lost not knowing your career path and trust me this school will feed off of that. When I attended Lincoln tech , the Tuition was around $34,000. Ask yourself why would you pay that much for a trade school in the automotive field ? This school is very money hungry and they are very possessive on getting you to enroll. They will call your phone nonstop for weeks telling you to come down and check our the school. Once you go in and check it out , they feed you so much lies. The enrollment staff is so polite and pleasant but don't be mistaken once you have enrolled in the school the whole vibe changes. They don't treat you the same , they got your money. You are not allowed to miss any days , even for any type of family emergency or even a death in the family. If you miss any days, your school work for that day you can not make up . Miss three days and you then fail the class, you will have to redo the class costing you another few thousand. The classes are around twenty students to one instructor. The hands on experience is horrible .A lot of instructors quit due to a bad work environment. I was a 4.0 student in this school , they put you in an honor roll system where they make you give speeches to people thinking about enrolling . Every extra activity this school does is to enroll people to scam them . Look into apex or NYADI if thinking about enrolling here . I wish I had someone tell me this before enrolling in this school. 35k In a student debt & I am finally paying off for within a 6 years. This school did not help me find my job , I found it on my own but they love to take credit for it when they want people to enroll. I enrolled my son in this school after being harassed​ non stop that this was the best choice for him that​ this was great... Then they started accusing​ me of no being a great and respectful parent because I did not hwant to pay their outrageous​tuition​n. The lady, Katherine​ would call me and said, "you​ must pay for his tution because you are his parent and its your job to apply for all this loans if you do not have the money..." WELL. They gave my son ZERO support. They failed him because he had to travel and was attending therary to treat his depression after he lost his father. We tried to enroll him ​in a differnet schedule so they said no until the next year so they can charge another extra semester​ of financial aid and​ loans. THEY are SCAM. No help for students, no assistance​ with learning. All their jobs are dead end jobs. I called several times to find out why my son was kicked out of ​school for being​ late a few times. Once they told him because he was late. You know I would think that being right off​ the Van Wyck they are used to lateness. NO they would accept him back in if he repeats the first part of the progrma and we would be charge extra tuition. You know like $35,000 for a vocational 13 month program was not enough. PLEASE stay Away. I am in the proccess of speaking with lawyers and contacting the department of educaiton and Fedeal Finacial Aid people to find out if they could be held liable for lying and scamming people​. I tried to enroll my 19yo nephew (we adopted him) to Lincoln Tech and right away I noticed that this place is very money hungry. They said someone needed to pass the admission test to enroll but I found out my nephew was short 2 points and they still accepted him. The admission person I was dealing with by the name of Kelly was very unprofessional. She constantly tried to rush us into making decision and committing to make payment. She will call my cellphone, my work place, my nephew cellphone and my husband cellphone until she can get someone. My nephew has dyslexia and we informed Ms Kelly that we would prefer if one of us go with him to read all the paperwork but she was relentless. She kept calling my nephew and demanded that he show up in person to sign some paperworks. The financial aid department was somewhat helpful but the tuition fees they told us kept changing from 68K a year to 34K a year. Our out of pocket payment change from 25K to 20K to 15K and 7-8K. Every time I asked Ms. Kelly questions on the phone she kept insisting that we need to show up in person. She sounded too busy to give you any information over the phone. My nephew and my husband ended up going there several times for a chit-chat that can be done over the phone. When my nephew was there by himself, he was asked to sign more documents but I warned him to not sign anything unless he fully understands what it was for. Finally, due to some family matter, we ended up having to postpone his enrollment, so I called Kelly to inform her that we won't be enrolling for March classes but we'll defer to the next upcoming classes. I asked her when will be the next class? Right away, she didn't sound too happy and told me she doesn't know when is the next class and how we should really go for the March class. When I insisted that we are canceling, she demanded that my nephew needs to show up to sign some papers for canceling. I asked if this is something she can email to us and she insisted no, he needs to show up in person to sign paperwork. She then , contacted my nephew right away asking him if he's canceling? And told him he needed to come in person to discuss. My nephew went to see her 2 days after that and turned out there was no cancellation paperwork needed to be sign. She said there's nothing to sign, she just wanted to see him to tell him his options- basically her last effort to try and convince him to sign up right away. When I found out that there's no papers to be sign, I contacted her and asked why did she insisted that he showed up in person when there's no need to do so. I feel like she was being disrespectful of people's time and frankly it was a waste of everyone's time. She said, I just want to make sure he knows his options. I told her we are aware of all the programs they offer and that's something she can could go over with him over the phone, not make him show up in person so many times for no reason at all. And then she abruptly told me, I am a busy woman, I don't have time for this and he is the student, not you!! He should make the decision. So I told her, he is the student but we are the one paying. When they can't even tell me how much we needed to pay, I wasn't sure if we should have 7K or 68K ready for his tuition. She was pushy and rude. I do not recommend going to this school. They don't care about the education or the students, they only want your MONEY and that's it. Go somewhere else. Check out NYADI. They have been nothing but helpful, honest and straightforward about everything. I asked so many questions over the phone and they gave me all the information I needed right to the tuition total,classes dates and times. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THIS SCHOOL!! I wish I would of read the reviews before coming to this school. This school could careless about the students. They make it seem like the school is the best and you get this and that but it's all an act just to get you to enroll. They dont put effort into working with the students. The school president Mr.Dawkins does not do anything at that school. Hes never involved with the students and barely engages with them and not even abit concerned about them. You never see him unless it's time for him to promote the school to get more students enrolled and trying to show as if he is involved. They only give you a certain amount of time you can miss school or be late for each class. If you miss all those minutes, you have to retake the class no matter what your grade is and have your graduation date pushed back, and you have to pay an extra thousands of dollars to retake the class. They dont care if your sick, If your mourning, if you dont have nobody to watch your kids, nothing, they still take that time away that you missed, and you only get to do the work that you missed IF you have a excuse but your grade still goes down. The grading system they have is horrible. You could have gotten 80 to 95% of your assignments passed but it only moves your grade THE MOST 5%, but if you get low grade on a assignment or did alright you grade drops drastically. They rather you fail and repeat a class instead of actually passing the class to make more money off of you. They have us paying for books but the classes dont use the books. Everything is done on the computer, the text book is on the computer. They lack heat in the school. They put the heat on the lowest setting. So if your cold, you HAVE to buy a Lincoln tech jacket. They wont let you wear your own or sweater and if you can't afford to buy they jacket at the moment you either get suspend or asked to leave the school. They barely want to spend money on new tools and equipment. We have to use old equipment that's been reused and broken apart for months and years, and have missing tools. They bought a "few" new tools a few months ago because students were complaining about it. Students made petitions with that school and have meetings with the staff to hear students out on how they can make the school better but they never changed anything or comprised with what some students tried asking for. Many students dropped from this school because of reasons like these, and even staff has left that school because of how they are treated. This school dosnt think we are adults that have big responsibilities we are sacrificing to be apart of that school. They think we are children and most times treat students as if we are. The female staff in the education department let some guys get away with certain things that the school says are against the rules but when it came to me, a female student, they bug me about every little thing. Some instructors in that school brag and are proud that they are failing students. It's so unprofessional and sad.I've had an instructor tell me and other students he doesn't care about us or our grades. That just shows that this school could careless about you. The higher up staff and some instructors are friends on a personal level and will side more with the instructors than the students. They also make graduating students to write a "good review" about them and watch you do it. As long as they are receiving money from you, and raising tuition like its nothing, they just sit back and enjoy it all while students are suffering because of the school. read more
