I had to do a lot of research to find a business that would provide me with custom arrangements for a fair price and deliver on time. BEWARE: Scam artist! Common trend in reviews. Promised a white bouquet with a splash of blue and photos before delivery. Delivered a plain white bouquet and no photos. When I contacted them about the delivery, the communication was extremely unprofessional. Follow-up response: they were "too busy" to do what they agreed to. After I mentioned leaving a review, Richard deflected responsibility and shifted the blame to the designer, Uri, instead of addressing the issue. Honesty and professionalism upfront would have been appreciated more than a surprise bouquet I didn't order. Screenshot of the conversation for proof ***UPDATE: called today in the morning (Wednesday 2/12) to speak with the Owner, in regards to the compensation the owner offered ($200 bouquet) beneath the review I made. RICHARD answered the phone and then proceeded to identify himself as the owner. He, yet again, remains unprofessional. He accused me of JUST wanting a free bouquet, he laughed, and lost his composure...stating that, if I wanted the free bouquet that I needed to take the post down and proceeded to hang up on me. I calmly returned the call. When he answered I simply stated that I would be updating my review to reflect the outcome and I hung up. He must have been fuming, because he called me AGAIN about 30 minutes later. He started the call straight into a rant. No introduction, not even verifying if he was speaking to the correct person. I was visiting my granny for the week and she hurt herself pretty badly cooking us dinner. I wanted to raise her spirits by bringing her some flowers, her favorite kind being Birds of Paradise, which are pretty rare to find. After checking several other stores, I called Suntree and within minutes the owner sent me a message and began arranging the flowers. He also included a price, which was fair and reasonable. The entire order was completed and ready for pick up shortly after. When picking up the flowers a few hours later, he was courteous and well mannered, and this made for a wholly pleasanexperience. Oh my gosh! The flowers were breathtaking! I left it up to the designer to make something beautiful! I knew if I ordered something specific on such a busy flower holiday, I could be disappointed. I am so glad I trusted the designers talent! Mom sent a picture and she said they were fresh, smelled beautiful and designed magnificently! Never using another florist! I called to order a dish garden to send to an employee at a medical office. I wanted to thank her for all her help. I spoke to Richard the owner. He rushed me right through the phone call and said that he would send me some pictures of the available dish gardens. I sent a text back saying that I liked one in a white dish. It was very pretty. He mentioned balloons and flowers. I said absolutely not. I didn't want any balloons or flowers. Just a pretty dish garden. He was very unprofessional when I called back about the amount he rang my credit card up for. Tried to take advantage of me! Told me it was an error that his employee made. He sent me a picture of the dish garden that was delivered. It was not even close to what I ordered. Had flowers and a tacky balloon. When I spoke to him about this, he said he's been so busy because there were two funerals he had to work on. This guy is unbelievable. The owner of this florist, so many excuses. Don't use this florist!!! Owner was very nice on the phone taking your order but the flower arrangement delivered wasn't what was agreed upon. I called him 1 wk ahead for a Mother's Day arrangement for my mom. I specifically asked all blue iris & white tuba roses delivered on 5/10 by 12nn. He said no problem he'd even throw in a MDAY ballon. He charged my credit $144 . He also said he always takes pics of the arrangement before delivery. I was very hopeful & excited. But when today came . The facility where my mom resided said it arrived yesterday , I didn't receive a text picture of the arrangement and the arrangement was not blue irises nor a stem of white tuba roses. The arrangement delivered wasn't not worth $144.I texted, called him throughout the day. Asking him what happened to the order. He finally answered my call. He abruptly said he's gonna rectify the problem. He was looking at a bunch of Irises as we speak. Then just hung up without details of exchange, redelivery time or day. I further tried to call him, since their website said 24/7 service. And that's how I started my order from this flower shop. The line would pick up then hang up. He is now ignoring me. I have dealt with many out of state florist with great service and products.This florist overpromises & totally under delivers . I have just read another customer with similar experience with him. She just posted about one month ago. Again biggest disappointment!!! I do not recommend them for any event. 5/12-update... Richard did finally reach out to me . Early am & mid day today. (California time) He did redeliver another arrangement of Iris's but no tuba roses. I figured it's done, can't spend anymore time & effort on the issue... I called on a Sunday for a Monday morning funeral. Not only could they deliver, it turned out my cousins used the same florist so they coordinated our blue and white arrangements. When you call a place and have a conversation with someone that you feel like you've known of 25 years is how I would describe calling into Suntree Florist and Gift while speaking with Richard the owner. He was easy going, helpful and expert and figuring out what I needed to get for my wife on our 27th Wedding Anniversary. Add in that he has something like 625 4.9 Star Reviews I'm done I know I've called the holy grail of florists. He delivered an incredible bouquet of roses with beautiful flowers, balloons, chocolates and a stuffed bear to boot. This place is a home run for any guy that has been put on the bench in their marriage or been issued a Do Not Stop Do Not Pass Go card in the Marriage Monopoly Game. PS Best of all he sends a picture of the arrangement before he delivers it which blew me away, I've never had a florist do that in my 30 years of ordering something to get me out of the doghouse. I'm so glad I found this florist! First of all, every other florist is closed on Sundays, which is totally weird and inconvenient. Like, Sundays are probably the day when you'd really need flowers! That's a plus. What I appreciated the most was that Richard answered the phone and it definitely sounded like he was on the go (he mentioned he was wrapping up a funeral) but he still took my order, sent me options for my selection and went above and beyond! His prices are reasonable and and straightforward. The icing on the cake, he's a fellow NYer! So the hustle was super appreciated. Since I don't live in the state, it's also important to have a local place I can trust. He gave me updates and delivered her birthday flowers in a timely manner. My Mom LOVED her flowers and the size of the bouquet so mission accomplished. In the middle of a long day of working but made a phone call fast trying to do something nice but truly feel these days you have double check on everyone when you get a service done. Micromanage should not be happening in the profession world. It should literally be I pay for a service because these are the professionals. Case in point here....thought I was calling to get a nice gift for someone and it's turned into a headache when I'm in the middle of working all day. First I call and I tell the owner I want it to be anonymous and I want it to be $50. He says I will send pictures. Next thing I know I'm being charged about $88. I call him he gets it refunded; next thing I know I don't even get a picture of the flowers and they have put " Love Melissa" on the card when he even repeated that to me, it would be anonymous and it says love. These things are kind of personal to say love to someone and clearly owner wasn't listening to me at all. Anonymous is anonymous. Really hoping to get my money back tomorrow morning. I hope the flowers are at least nice looking! I should have received a picture. read more

They helped a few very "flower uneducated" men (Father of the bride, soon to be husband , and Uncle of the bride) pick some amazing flowers to decorate for the day of the wedding at our home. The service was OUTSTANDING. The flowers lasted way longer than I thought possible. They were friendly and generous. We can't thank them enough! When I (Mother of the Bride) needed Babies Breath, and they were actually short of what I needed, no fault of theirs, they gave me enough to decorate my daughters hair at no charge! They did not deliver flowers on time for my wife's birthday last year. I had to contact them for action. The owner? told me they would deliver them the next day and give me a free floral arrangement of my choice for the future. I ordered flowers for Mother's Day and asked for a refund (as promised for the free flowers). They did not reimburse me and the flowers were not the roses I ordered. I will not do business with them anymore and hope they don't screw anyone else with false promises and poor service. read more

You may be wondering why I am sharing a photo of pizza for a florist review... well the reality is, the owner Richard is so amazing and clearly goes over and beyond what most florists would do to satisfy his customers that he was caring enough to get my dad who's been on lock down in a rehab center with terrible food and no visitors due to covid that he bought my dad 2 slices of pepperoni pizza on his way to personally deliver not only gorgeous flowers, but a Happy Birthday Balloon AND a box of chocolates! Being from Westchester, NY - I have pretty discerning taste when it comes to flowers and the arrangement Suntree sent over WAY EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!!!. The flowers STILL look as gorgeous as the day they arrived - over 2 weeks old - and the colors and arrangement are just beautiful. Very artful and elegant. I highly, highly recommend this florist. My experience with this business has been so awful, I had to file a complaint with the BBB (case# 19512953) I called there on the 14th looking for purple roses. A woman assured me she had them so I told her I was on my way. She said she needed my credit card info to hold them. I said "I will literally be there in 15 minutes. It's not necessary." She insisted on getting my information & said it was simply to hold them NOT to be charged. When I get to the establishment, there is a dozen pink already dying roses on the counter. The woman says "here you go & don't worry I already charged your card" In shock I asked "you already charged me?!?!" She said "Yep sure did" at this point I can't even believe what's happening & that I'm looking at pink roses. So I just go home. I tell my girlfriend what just happened & she immediately calls the shop. She speaks to the owner, Richard. She tells the owner that his employee illegally charged my card & then gave me 1/2 dead pink roses instead. The owner of the shop assures her that "that's not how he does business" We offered to return them but He said no he would refund our money today. We waited 3 days & still no refund, so I call again. Richard picked up the phone & said "oh my gosh you're gonna get it it's not like I'm leaving town" & hung up. So we waited 9 more days to allow this alleged "refund" to process & after checking the card again today, there was still no money put back. So again, I called Richard. He was so nasty & condescending & made it seem like $89 is nothing. Which may be to him it isn't. But we have 5 children so to us, that's a whole bill. Especially when it was charged without permission! And we were given a product that we did not ask for. He then proceeded to say, "so what would you like me to do? Do you wanna split the cost 50-50?" I said "no, I want the full refund that you said you were doing 2 weeks ago!!" He said "OK fine I'll text you a picture when its done." I never received a text so I called to check the balance on my card. he only refunded me $65! It's not even about the $15 at this point, It's about how disgustingly these people operate a business. It's about how they can illegally charge peoples cards & then give them whatever they feel like giving them. I don't know if this was because I'm black or not, But that's definitely how it feels at this point. I would never recommend anyone to go to this place. Great florist!! I ordered a bouquet for my grandmother the day before Easter, and they gave same day delivery. Only 20 minutes after placing the order, I received a call from Richard, who assured me that he would make a beautiful bouquet and tailor it for Easter! He included a stuffed animal and other holiday trinkets and texted me photos to be sure I was satisfied. The end bouquet was better than the order we placed online. Highly recommend! read more
