They charged me $210 to blow off the roof and clean 2 skylights which took them 20 minutes. Then they left out one of the windows they were supposed to clean. Made me sign my name saying I wouldn't hire them without a discount because they originally tried to charge me $300 for a 45-min job. At the end one of the guys asked me for a tip. Our neighborhood worked with Sunshine Window Cleaning to do pressure washing -- they offered additional services for us as well. I requested pressure washing for my back deck (which was way overdue) - I'm in a fairly new neighborhood but already my deck had several green patches ... mildew & mold. Demetrius was awesome & very personable - and did a very thorough cleaning job. They use a ladder to enter the deck area - so no need at all for them to walk through your house which I appreciated. I have used Sunshine for years but last week was my last. They used to be really good at their job but two bad experiences and I'm done. Last week, I was scheduled to have gutters and roof cleaned between 12-4 pm. I arrived home at 12:00 and they had come and gone. No call or text that they were coming. I looked out my back door and thought there had been a storm while I was gone. There was debris everywhere. My flowers pots, grills and outside table and chairs were a mess. There was a substance left on the table and chairs that stuck like glue to the iron. After 3 rains, the table and chairs still need scrubbing. There was splatter on the windows so now they need cleaning but Sunshine will not be doing that. The last time they cleaned windows, the crew dropped solution on my kitchen fabric which took the color out of the fabric. I was left a bill for $195 for my small one story ranch and all of this fun. read more

Overpriced. To pressure wash a small area of concrete around our pool $500. This is unacceptable. Then they offer to pressure wash the entire house for only $200 more. They've done our entire fence around the yard for $500. There is no rationale for pricing. Good service but unfortunate that this year there seems to be an overcharge. They also did a specific type of cleaning on our roof and the residue killed out landscaping so we had to buy new plants. Things to take into consideration as you get quotes. read more

I was always satisfied with their work. Until a new crew scratched my hardwood floors by pulling the huge couch without lifting it. These scratches are not removable without refinishing the floors, they are too deep in the wood. They told me the owner will call me regarding and solving this, nobody called me. Scheduled a whole house soft wash. Was quoted over the phone $200-250, they go by house sq footage and do not offer exact estimates in person until the day of scheduled service. When the technician arrived he said $500!!!! I said NO WAY and we discussed further and "haggled" and got down to $325. BE READY FOR THIS - same thing happened to my neighbor. Well, after completing the job we walked around the house and I pointed out areas he missed and for each one he said "wouldn't come clean". I knew better because some of the areas I had cleaned in the past with an otc house wash myself and it definitely removed the mildew areas. I was not going to argue. Called the ofc the next day and asked if they could come back and fix the crummy job. They sent a supervisor who got ALL the areas totally clean that the previous technician said "would not come clean". Looks great now, but just beware, you might get the same technician that does half-assed jobs. read more

Booked power washing service for very small patio area, fence, awning and front porch in a small townhouse plus window cleaning. was quoted over the phone that it would be a certain price. once they arrived, I was told it would be twice as much as the quoted price, over $600. service guy blamed it on "the new girl " answering the phone. Having used Sunshine before several years ago, I was extremely disappointed as my first experience was so good. The crew showed up on time, they were courteous, really nice guys. I could swear I was misquoted from the estimate I was given over the phone to what I was actually charged, but I'll let that slide and take responsibility for that one. We did a walk-around, but I was in a hurry and didn't get a chance to go over everything. Later the same afternoon I did a more thorough inspection. My findings: - They did not move the furniture items on my deck to complete pressure wash the surface. it's still dirty in spots. - The glass door on the front of my house was still filthy, even after they supposedly washed it. - I had to go back over the exterior sills of my windows with Simple Green to get the grime off that they didn't catch. In all fairness, it wasn't on every window, but you would have thought they would have done a better job for what I paid them. - This is the one that really irked me and caused me to write this review. They did not clean my garage door. It was dirty. I ended up having to take Simple Green and scrub it with a brush by hand. It looked like they'd barely run the pressure wand over the surface, it was still so dirty. This was my 3rd use of this company, and although originally impressed, I am no longer recommending them. I will not use them in the future. A real disappointment. There are better contractors out there; spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. read more

I have used Sunshine on a number of occasions in the past to clean my windows. They have always done a great job... with windows. However, this time around I decided to use them to wash the outside of my house. They hire inexperienced individuals and make them work on commission. When they made their way to the back side of my house (I have windows that go to the ground) they did not recognize that you can't use the same pressure, as for example an upstairs window, as you are much closer. Needless to say the bleach water came through the windows and damaged my sectional and an upholstered bench. They called the owner and he said they could leave, job unfinished or continue and I would pay full price. They blamed the issue on my windows which are new Pella windows, which is ridiculous. My windows are fine, you just can't stand an inch away and spray water with that high pressure at the windows. All of my higher windows were not an issue, even though they are much older. Bleach water also entered all of my doorways which I had to clean to keep it from damaging my hardwoods, again an inch away spraying high pressure water. I called the main number and asked to talk with the owner. They said they would have him call me and I never heard back. It's been 2 plus weeks. The guys working said any discount given for damage would come out of their commission per the owner. When you hire a reputable company such as Sunshine, you don't expect damage, let alone zero responsibility for damage they cause. I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone after dealing with this awful issue. Owner was no where to be found when it came to taking care of the mess they made. read more

I used an Angie's List Big Deal Discount offer for the inside and outside cleaning of all of my windows, from the second floor to the daylight basement. Buka and Gustavo did a great job. They started from inside the house, and it was impressive to see the improvement when the film of dirt and dust was removed; and, that was before they cleaned the exterior window surface. They worked carefully, and It took the two-man team about 2 hours to clean all of my windows and screens. I was impressed at the difference the clean windows made for viewing out; and, for the total curb appeal of the house because of the shiny windows. read more

Stay far, far away from Sunshine Window Cleaning! Several years ago, I hired them to clean my boyfriend's skylight. The next day, the skylight started leaking. We called them to address the situation, and the owner, David, refused to return any calls. Against my better judgment, I decided to try them again, so I hired them in September to clean my windows. The crew was nice and my windows look great, but they left my place dirty, and nearly all of my screens on the front of my house were damaged from them throwing them down a floor or two onto my driveway below. I asked them to fix my screens, so they came back and took them. The guy who picked them up was extremely rude and defensive. I tried calling the business multiple times over the next couple of months to find out what they were going to do with my screens and when I would get them back. The ladies who answer the phone were consistently nice (they are the ONLY good thing for this business), but the owner would not call me back. Finally, approximately two months after the service, I was able to reach him, and he told me he would do nothing about my screens. In fact, he proceeded to tell me that he "put his fist through one of them to see what kind of shape they were in!" So, he ruined one screen completely. Then, he refused to pay to get them fixed. He offered to let one of his partners fix them, but at my own cost. He was extremely rude and condescending. I told him I would fight the charge with AmEx since the services were not fully rendered. I then had to have my husband call him, and he was a little more civilized with him. He eventually agreed to get them rescreened and returned to me. Two weeks later, when his crew was supposed to bring them back, they just did not show, and David did not even have the decency to call me. When I was finally able to reach him, he told me that he refused to give me back my screens since AmEx refunded me the amount for the service. I offered to call AmEx or write him a check once I got my screens back, but he refused to do anything. Since then, he has fought AmEx to get the charge back on my card. So, here is it, five months later, and they have MY PERSONAL PROPERTY that THEY DAMAGED, and they refuse to bring it back to me. My house is missing five screens that they STOLE from me. Once again, I am fighting to get the charges off of my card. If this doesn't work, I will consider calling law enforcement and reporting this as a theft. Long story short, yeah, they can clean windows, but expect your property to be damaged, expect to have to fight with David (who is completely irrational and demonstrates a high likelihood of having anger management issues), and then expect nothing for the time and aggravation. Too, expect for things to be worse than when you started. They are absolutely awful - and it comes from the top. read more

Had them to pressure wash my deck and my home. I asked them to clean my chandelier as well, but they refused and said they would give me the number of a professional chandelier cleaning company, which they never did. The service they performed provide was ok. The house looked clean. But frankly for the price they charged, I could have purchased my own 3400psi pressure washer and did exactly what they did. I further feel like since they used my water, I should have gotten some sort of price break as I'm sure the usage spiked. As stated, the job was done ok. They arrived on time, they explained everything, they gave me a quote for service in advance and they were courteous in doing the work. Only knocks against them were the inflated rates, refusal to clean my chandelier citing difficulty and the lack of follow up after they volunteered to send me information. The price was big one though. 1/3 of what they charged would have been a more ideal price point for the work that was done. At those prices, I won't be calling them again. But if you're ok paying the money then you will get good service. read more

Used to like them for window cleaning and pressure washing. However my most recent experience was not good. The pressure washing was haphazardly performed; first, they cleaned the center of the patio but not along the edges. Second, they tried to pressure wash my garage doors and, in the process, splattered the windows above and failed to then clean them off. I spoke to the owner who very nicely said he would send them out to redo it. Two weeks later they had not come back, and when I called again, the owner had no recollection of ever speaking to me. This time, he appeared quite perturbed that I was even complaining-it was as if I was speaking to someone entirely different than the first go-round. Eventually, they came back out when I was not home, and they still skipped several places on my patio. I also used to use them for gutter cleaning, but I was just recommended to a gutter cleaning company by my roofer. The gutter cleaning company is 35% less than Sunshine and actually performs more services for the price. Oh! I completely forgot about the "crew chief" who was sent out on the initial work. He tried to quote me a price way higher than I had paid the previous year and even tried to break the pressure washing down into two separate jobs, each of which would be subject to a separate minimum. He was more of a salesman, simply trying to up his own numbers. Like most people, I don't like feeling as if I am being cheated or taken advantage of. So when I found a new gutter cleaning company this year, I realized that I was completely done with Sunshine. For these reasons, Sunshine has just lost a long-term customer. read more

Very disappointed with the cleaning of my home windows. They had missed a couple of windows, and failed to clean screens and ledges as agreed upon when booking. I also found several water drips on walls and window frames where they didn't wipe after. I called and left a message after the guys had left as I didn't take a close look until later that day. The guys showed up the next day unannounced. I explained to the one guy who came in what I had found. He spent a total of 10 minutes and left. I was busy working so again didn't have a chance to take a good look until after he left. Once again I found much the same. I called and spoke with Emily and expressed my dissatisfaction over the job not being done properly. She apologized and said she would let the owners know. I have not heard anything since. Based on my experience, I am unable to recommend this company for window cleaning. read more

They actually tried to charge more because we have interior wood inserts in our windows. But they would be washing them from the OUTSIDE! I said no. In a panic I called Sunshine to try and get a quote. They fit me in the next business day, were prompt in arriving, gave me a detailed verbal quote, and the finished product was fabulous! They performed an on-site estimate and gave me an expensive quote which I reluctantly agreed to because my windows are quite dirty. But once the workers arrived they changed their mind and said they don't 'do this kind of work.' They left me high and dry the day before I planned to move into my new house with no room in the schedule to book someone else. I guess they didn't want to work 'that' hard. The two men showed up without a 30 minute call ahead. The work was done efficiently, however, after saying yes to doing a portion of the job, the one man had to be reminded to do it and gave an excuse ad to why he did not do it, which he did do finally. There is a portion of my home that they had to come and go through and they had no floor covering to protect my floor after I sent them a photo of the area.
