I had read the reviews for Jackie's Wag n Train before I contacted her and they were raves…read more Imagine my disappointment. When I enrolled my puppy in Jackie's class she told me the cost would be $125 for 6 one-hour, once-a-week classes. The class she put us in had already started the week before, I was assured we would make up the missed week. Also when we enrolled we were told at the end of the course my puppy would get a certificate. When the course finished we had had only 5 classes, we did not receive a make-up for the class we missed initially. So, actually, we paid for 6 and only got 5. I did not mention the unmade-up class at the time as I didn't think it would do any good. The first 5 were merely an hour with us taking turns making our dogs do something. There was no real instruction as to how to train them. I didn't experience any connection she tried to make with the dogs or with the owners, it seemed she was just going through the motions to get us through the hour, which sometimes we didn't even get a whole hour. At the end of the last class she told us we would be getting our certificates soon, I assumed through email. I waited for about a month and the certificate never came so I sent Jackie an email letting her know (in case she forgot me). She responded that she was not giving out certificates. I reminded her that she had told me at the beginning we would be getting a certificate. She responded by saying, "I have decided not to send attendance certificates in order to keep tuition fees down". I reminded her that I had already paid my tuition and that I was told we would be getting a certificate at the end of the course. To date she has not sent the certificate, nor did she respond to my last request. Her class was a rip-off, I paid $125 for a course that was not completed and she did not present the certificate that she said was part of the course I had paid for. I would not recommend Jackie's Wag n Train to anyone who wants a quality experience with training their puppy. Save your $125 and train your puppy yourself, your puppy will get exactly the same quality of training Jackie offers, it'll be free and you could print out your own certificate.

Jackie's Wag N Train provides classes for dogs and owners to work toward goals like puppy manners, agility, canine good citizenship, and therapy dogs. I had seen her take a new dog and have him calm down and obey commands in just minutes. She truly has the knack. You can't argue with stupid and modern technology!! I didn't fall for that. She never even laid hands on my dog! She threw string cheese on the floor and told me to YouTube dogs barking all day. To desensitize my dog. He gets overly excited when he sees another dog on a walk. Then, the second thing she recommended was for my dog to be put on Prozac!! I foolishly paid $85 for NOTHING. Pay close attention to these photos. She's reading a magazine. Just dogs in photos, not her interacting with them. If you have a very young puppy and want to teach it how to "go find" with cheese, let me save you $85...toss cheese on the floor and watch YouTube's. This place is a waste.

She is so caring and I know our fur babies (cats, dogs and rabbits), as well as our turtle, fish and even my husband's hawk (he is a falconer) are in excellent hands. She sends pictures of our pets which eases the worry while we are gone. We have had other pet sitters and Kathy has been the absolute best. I can go away without worrying at all. We have some odd things, (feeding the hawk raw quail) that we needed done and she has been a trooper in doing them all and then some, like bringing in the mail and putting away garbage cans from the street and even watering plants. Kathy has also done some in home dog training consults with our dogs and I really like her style of dog training, very practical, respectful, and realistic. She is so knowledgeable and she's such a joy to be around. We are really going to miss her when she moves but are so grateful to have had her in our lives over the years. Cheers to her new adventures.
