We used to go here until our wonderful trainer, Jackie, left. We didn't get the same positive training with the person who took her place.

I had read the reviews for Jackie's Wag n Train before I contacted her and they were raves…read more Imagine my disappointment. When I enrolled my puppy in Jackie's class she told me the cost would be $125 for 6 one-hour, once-a-week classes. The class she put us in had already started the week before, I was assured we would make up the missed week. Also when we enrolled we were told at the end of the course my puppy would get a certificate. When the course finished we had had only 5 classes, we did not receive a make-up for the class we missed initially. So, actually, we paid for 6 and only got 5. I did not mention the unmade-up class at the time as I didn't think it would do any good. The first 5 were merely an hour with us taking turns making our dogs do something. There was no real instruction as to how to train them. I didn't experience any connection she tried to make with the dogs or with the owners, it seemed she was just going through the motions to get us through the hour, which sometimes we didn't even get a whole hour. At the end of the last class she told us we would be getting our certificates soon, I assumed through email. I waited for about a month and the certificate never came so I sent Jackie an email letting her know (in case she forgot me). She responded that she was not giving out certificates. I reminded her that she had told me at the beginning we would be getting a certificate. She responded by saying, "I have decided not to send attendance certificates in order to keep tuition fees down". I reminded her that I had already paid my tuition and that I was told we would be getting a certificate at the end of the course. To date she has not sent the certificate, nor did she respond to my last request. Her class was a rip-off, I paid $125 for a course that was not completed and she did not present the certificate that she said was part of the course I had paid for. I would not recommend Jackie's Wag n Train to anyone who wants a quality experience with training their puppy. Save your $125 and train your puppy yourself, your puppy will get exactly the same quality of training Jackie offers, it'll be free and you could print out your own certificate.

Jackie's Wag N Train provides classes for dogs and owners to work toward goals like puppy manners, agility, canine good citizenship, and therapy dogs. She is excellent at training both owners and their dogs! Jackie's style is positive only. Her extensive knowledge of all breeds is amazing. I had seen her take a new dog and have him calm down and obey commands in just minutes. She truly has the knack. I have attended JWNT for over a year and have reached my goal of becoming certified with my Dog as a therapy dog. I am so grateful to have had this experience with Jackie and look forward to working with her more in the future. Highly recommended.

I love him but he was becoming aggressive and, honestly had gone after me a few times - quite scary. In the last 3 weeks with Treena, I have seen an amazing transformation with Crosby. This is our 4th trainer and finally one that could help us! I am so happy I made the investment. I am excited to see what else Crosby will learn in the coming weeks. Thank you!

In March 2023, I brought home a 3-month old doxie, who was just so cuddly and adorable. I've had…read moredachshunds before and know they can be sassy, but my new pup, Norman, went from cute to nippy to full-on growling/snarling/biting/charging me in about 3 months time. He turned into a total a-hole, Mr. Alpha. Even though he was only 10 lbs, he had some sharp teeth and a bad attitude. I did some basic obedience training with him at my local PetCo, which was good for basic stuff, but he still had major behavioral issues. I thought maybe he would calm down a bit after I got him neutered at 9 months, but no go. This whole experience was so upsetting. I had never had a dog like this that was so difficult. All I wanted was to love my dog, and what I got was regularly bitten and a lot of stress. It got so bad that I called dachshund rescue places to see if they would take him - they said 'no thanks'. And I went so far as to fill out an intake form with the Animal Rescue League in August. I cried myself to sleep that night because I didn't want to give up on this dog, but it was way more stress and expense than I had bargained for. I spoke w/ Sam Ivy back in June and he told me about his behavioral program. I wasn't ready to make the investment at that point, but I liked what he had to say. I told him I wanted to wait until I got Norman neutered before investing in any more training. Fast forward to August - I was on the verge of giving Norman up and Sam texted me. I'll never forget: Sam told me to get rid of the behavior, not the dog. He convinced me to give Norman one more chance. So I made the decision to invest in the Proper Pack Behavior course. I saw all the great reviews for Holli, one of SamIvy's trainers, and requested her. Lucky me - we started training with Holli the next week. Over the last several months, Norman and I have been working with Holli, and I am so so glad I gave SamIvy a chance. Norman (who I refer to as The Whip since he's a Work In Progress) has come a LONG way. Is he an angel 24/7? No. But he's much calmer. He's more trusting of and respectful to me. He's no longer possessive of his food. Our walks are in control. His potty training routine has improved 100%. He doesn't bite me when I put his collars on. I can take him in public and he's been spot trained to sit and behave in a restaurant with me (can you say 'miracle'??). Our relationship is MUCH better and he's begun to understand that I am the pack leader and that I am the decision maker. Now - Holli is gem. She's no joke. She knows her stuff inside and out. Her expertise paired with SamIvy tools equals results. And remember at the end of the day, it is us - the pet owners - that need to be trained to manage our dogs. So this training was an eye opener for both me and Norman. If you are on the fence about making the investment to train your sassy-ass dog, trust me when I say it's worth every penny. SamIvy's program and tools are superior to traditional training or bootcamps because they understand how dogs think/operate. Kudos to you Sam, Holli, and team! Chris and Norman
