The area of the yard where the patio was installed was very uneven and when it rained water wasn't going away from the house. We had used Marlon for some tree work and general landscaping approx. 2 years ago, 2019, and wanted at that time to remove a tree which was severely damaging our sidewalk to a point the sidewalk was dangerous. Unfortunately Cambridge had a tree removal moratorium in place so we had to delay this work. We finally decided to go forward with the tree removal, pay Cambridge the fine for removal and we called Marlon. Marlon seemed happy to hear from us again and have a repeat customer. Marlon sent his tree person out to provide an estimate for the tree removal, trimming another tree and removing a dead tree stump and sidewalk repair. Seems like a decent size smallish job. Marlon's tree man said he would have a proposal to us "shortly" within the following week. We never received a quote-proposal. We have left several voice msgs and have also sent two or three e-mails to Marlon and we have never heard back. Marlon has ghosted us. There is another review where Marlon scheduled an appt. and never showed up. If you want to be ghosted or waste your time waiting for Marlon well, then he's your man-company. Find someone else who does care and does good work. Too bad to lose a repeat customer.

Eligio proposed several materials and adjusted them in line with the specific features we were looking for. We wanted a surface that would be both stable under the specific conditions (directly up against the foundation of our house and next to the sloping retaining wall, but also more porous than the asphalt. Eligio and his crew did a meticulous job to make sure the ground was properly regraded to improve water flow away from the house while making the surface more porous (hence the wider spacing between the cobblestones. He also adapted the design so I could have some planting space between the wall and the cobble stone. We were impressed with the crew's diligence and efficiency. Given the particular challenges and materials we were looking for, I consider the price to have been very fair.

Thumbs up for Cobb Roofing. After a tree fell on our condo back in June, we needed to have some…read moreshingles and gutters replaced. We called several roofers, and were lucky to find Joe. He came right away to give us an estimate, which came in under our insurance estimate. It was not the least expensive estimate we received, but I knew Joe was knowledgeable when he noticed damage caused by the tree that our insurance adjuster had missed. He also demonstrated pride in quality work when he noticed bad sealing jobs done by the contractor that originally renovated the building back in 2005, and indicated that he would take care of those too before we started to experience leaks over time. After my first interaction with him I knew we had found the guy. Joe showed up on time, on the day he said he would be there. He did the work himself (with a partner), quickly and quietly. He even had our new gutter custom made, and when he didn't like the quality of the shop's product he insisted it be re-done before he installed it. The patches on the previous roofer's bad sealing jobs look great, and I'm no longer worried that our roof will start leaking after the first big snowfall. All of this took about a day and a half. Joe also cleaned everything up--not a single roofing nail or shingle left behind. Hopefully we will not need any additional roof work done, but if we do, I will definitely call Joe Cobb. Highly recommended.

Poor communication, incomplete work, and overall negative experience…read more We initially hired Neighborhood Property Services for rubbish removal. While they weren't punctual, they were affordable, staff was pleasant, and they were efficient once they arrived. We then hired Nathaniel and crew to do some yard work. Punctuality continued to be an issue. In fact, they wouldn't even come on the day they stated, and they were difficult to get a hold of. Still, we found Nathaniel pleasant to work with and the job was completed according to our agreement. Unfortunately, we can't recommend them or use them again because we have a contract with them, and they never finished about $900 of the work. They kept saying they'd come. The admin person kept saying her emails were stuck in her outbox, so we didn't receive communication about delays. Nathaniel stopped responding to texts. We even had our lawyer send a letter, and no one responded. We decided not to pursue the issue further. Needless to say, this was an expensive and overwhelmingly negative experience.
