First reason Im writing this review is because the negative reviews on google seem like such BS... one review is negative because the man asked if the flowers are cat friendly... wtf are you talking about dude. Its a flower shop not a veterinarian.. you should know which flowers are good or not since you're the cat owner. Second reason is because of bs reviews about customer service. Both reviewers seemed to think they're the only people to exist and that the shop owner needs to bow before them.. Give me a break, they're a busy flower shop and they were helping other people... allowing you to look at the options until you come and tell them what you want. Stop being babys and then running to google reviews and trying to hurt a small business. 5 stars all the way for being straight up New Yorkers and having quality products.

TERRIBLE service, TERRIBLE products…read more I went with my son to order a corsage and boutonnière for his prom. We described what we wanted. Two days later, we came to pick up the order and we were SHOCKED!!! The roses they used were wilted, stained and HUGE, so big that they would not fit on my son's lapel and the wrist corsage would have reached the elbow of my son's date. When I asked them if they thought the items were too large, they were rude and told me that they would be fine. The corsage and boutonnière were UNACCEPTABLE and the staff were extremely rude. We picked these up the afternoon of the prom and when I asked if they could help us make them smaller or redo, they refused to help. My son and I were extremely disappointed, these were not inexpensive items and they treated us poorly. I would DISCOURAGE ANYONE from using this florist!

I finally had an excuse to shop in the flower district for an upcoming event. It's dahlia season…read moreand I was really set on getting some beautiful blooms. I think some people come to the flower district expecting to get a steal. If you want cheap flowers, save that for Trader Joe's (my usual go to). Here, you get high-quality and hard to find flowers, not your run of the mill. Pricewise, the dahlias were $17.50 for five blooms. This was on par with pricing at other stores in the area. However, this location had by far the best selection. Probably at least 20 varieties and colors of dahlias alone. A couple days later I was shopping at the farmers market, and I saw what was probably the exact same Dahlia producer - a flower stand selling the same five paper wrapped blooms for $25. So this location will be a bit cheaper than what you'd find at a market or specialty flower shop outside of the district. Highly recommend this shop if you're visiting the flower district and wondering where to start.

The team is incredibly friendly and professional, and their flower selection is always stunning--fresh, unique, and beautifully arranged. Their prices are some of the best in the city for the amazing quality you get! What really sets them apart is how much they go above and beyond. They've helped me re-pot my plants with such care, and they've even helped me pot mini plants for my children and their classmates for special school occasions. Those little projects meant so much to us and were done so thoughtfully. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and love what they do. Matles Florist has become my go-to, and I can't recommend them highly enough.

My husband brought home a bouquet of roses this evening and when I unwrapped them, I discovered…read morethat a decent number of stems were dark brown, all of the the petals were all separated and they also had black blemishes on the tips along with being slightly torn. The roses for the most part are limp. Total crap quality is the best way I can describe them. This put a real damper on our Valentine's Day weekend. Any other place these would've lasted 3-5 days. I doubt they will last 2 days in their current condition. You should be ashamed of yourselves ripping off native New Yorkers and anyone that visits this disgrace of a business. Needless to say, disappointed beyond belief. My husband couldn't even bring himself to tell me the price due to being severely disappointed and ashamed so I'm guessing you guys charged a pretty penny for these garbage flowers. The man on the phone was extremely helpful...he provided suggestions, asked me questions about what he would like, offered ideas. It doesn't get any better: service, quality, same day and the price was competitive. I don't know what happened to "m.m." in 2009, but they clearly weren't at this shop.

We enlisted Andy and his team for our June 4, 2016 wedding and to say that the arrangements he…read moreprovided were "perfect" would be completely underselling it. The flowers that Accent on Flowers put together for us were beyond perfect and were the talk of our wedding! I (the bride) had been admiring Andy's work long, long, long before we hired him for the wedding. He also does the arrangements for the lobby of my office. On many occasions, I would feast my eyes on the unique and beautiful arrangements he sent to our lobby and think to myself "When I get married, I gotta talk to this guy." He was actually the first florist we approached in our search, but we interviewed many others due to my compulsive need to be thorough and also to appease family members who wanted us to check out their picks for floral. All that time was wasted because throughout our exhaustive search we never found another florist who brought as much knowledge and creativity to the table as Andy. We ended up approaching Accent on Flowers to hire them about two months out from our wedding and I was freaking out (just a bit.) Not only was Andy very reassuring but he was very flexible and generous when it came to working within our budget. Andy, his wife Lourie and their team very graciously welcomed me into the shop a number of times leading up to the wedding to talk about flower types, colors, votives, etc. The end result was truly spectacular. Andy listened to our desires for something "off-beat," with lots of texture and colors. We wanted people to discover something new and cool every time they looked at the arrangements. Accent on Flowers delivered this in everything they provided. From my and my bridesmaids bouquets to the small collection of staggered height arrangements that sat on each table inside of BEAUTIFUL antique, silver votives. (we've included pictures attached to this review, so please check them out!) The folks as at Accent on Flowers are not just true professionals who 110% know their stuff when it comes to flowers... they are great people and we are very happy to have worked with them to make the most special day of our lives even more special.
