Don't come here on a Saturday night. There is a cashier that makes stupid assumptions about things. I went in with my nephew and he wouldn't sell me alcohol because he suspected I was giving it to a minor. While my nephew is 18, he was also helping me carrying all my items, which were a few big items. Why not grab a cart? Because they sometimes look dirty and I am not trying to get sick right? So he didn't sell me my items and when I returned to ask question with my wife, he refused to answer them and told me he wasn't having the argument and closed the window on my face. My question is very simple, why this kid told me he suspected I was giving alcohol to minors, but no other cashier has made the same claim, the many many times I've gone in with my nephew? I wanted to know what was done or caused him suspect this? Either way, he was very rude, don't go on a Saturday or a kid is going to give you a hard time. Go to Westwood Liquors if you have the car or the 76 if you're walking. read more

First off, the customer service here was good. The cashier was friendly and knowledgeable. I'm giving this business a 3-star rating based on extremely high prices for all food and beverage items. I didnt see any sales or specials.Much higher prices than the competing convenience stores: Circle K QuikTrip and a.m./p.m. I understand and am prepared to pay higher prices for a convenience store purchase. .. Overpriced don't display their prices on most items, or the display price is incorrect. Most of the coolers don't work so you get overcharged for warm drinks, what a deal. read more

You know it's the hood when they sell steel reserve. I don't know much about this place but it seems to be good for beer and water. The beers are reasonably priced and they have a water dispensing machine that's only 15 cents gallon and it actually tastes pretty good. They also sell all day bus cards for only 4 dollars. This place also has a drive thru and sells liquor. I'll have to check out their liquor prices next time. I will be coming back. read more

Here is the conversation my friends had with the lady at the window of the drive-thru liquor store on the way home from our friend's wedding rehearsal: Lady: "Can I help you?" Friend: "Yeah, we want a six-pack of Bud Light and--" Lady: "Can I help you?" Friend: "...we want a six-pack of Bud Light and a six of Pacifico." Lady: "Pacifico? We don't have that." Other friend: "It's a Mexican beer, yellow label...?" Lady: "No, I don't think we have that..." (note: they totally have that) Friend: "Do you have other Mexican beer?" Other friend: "Yeah, Mexican beer -- Pacifico, Dos Equis...?" Lady: "We have Tecate and Dos...dos..." Other friend: "Dos Equis?" Lady: "Dos Equis. OK, what else do you want?" Friend: "...Bud Light?" Lady: "How many Bud Light?" Friend: "A six-pack...?" The lady went and got the beers, then asked my friend about her ethnicity and told us all about hers and we finally handed over money and got the beers and ran off. Note that we found this so hilarious that we went back before the wedding to get a pint of Jack Daniels. Unfortunately someone else was working the window, the JD cost $17, and it was confiscated by security at the wedding venue. Alas. Alas...the independent local corner store in my neighborhood. I have to doc points for how expensive it is HOWEVER I must say on occasion I am inclined to pay a few bucks more to: A. Support a local business. B. Avoid having to deal with driving to the store as opposed to just walking across the street to this one. Its not the cleanest, it's not the cheapest. Local stop near home, id rather go to than a circle k. No!! They treat you like a regular and a new customer at the same time. I went to the CK a block away they remember my name, my face and what i bought.... Have been going here (sunshine mart) for over a year. Gladly provided my ID everytime w/o ?. Today i rode my longboard and forgot my ID (in my car) Got denied and told me i know your over 21 but look young??? Just moved into the area and stopped by after work Friday night to pick up some beer and liquor. Was kinda excited to check the place out since the outside of it made me feel like they were goning to have a good selection of alcohol and it being local. The beer selection was below average basically what you would see at a Circle K. The liquor was pretty basic, cool they have three different sizes for most of the liquor they do have. The employees seemed nice but didn't have too much interaction with them. I ended up getting a half of a fifth of Jim Beam and a tall can of MoonJuice. The total was 24 dollars and change...? I asked how much was the half fifth was and its 17.99. Maybe they think there is a prohibition happening again or something, but I'll just drive a mile or two down the road to get them same stuff for half the price. Definitely will not go back, I'm all for supporting local stores, but I won't get raped in the process. read more

This place is a literal ray of sunshine. Everyone here is always so friendly! Definitely not the type of experience you'd expect from a drive through liquor store in this area. I've interacted with four of the employees so far (in store and in the drive through)and each of them are sooooo nice which is hard to convey during short interactions but they nailed it! They have an awesome selection and super great prices! I was kind of bummed when I move to this area because grocery delivery does not offer wine or liquor like Chandler does (probably because of their proximity to campus) but I'm happy I now get to interact with these lovely people. This store is expensive, dirty, and basically a place to walk to when you're too drunk to drive to a real grocery store for more beer.

This place is a shame it's dirty, over priced, and the worst service I have ever seen in my life. They charge you extra to use your credit card which is just stupid. and I cant tell you how many times I have shown up at like 715 in the morning before class and despite the 7 signs on the door and the fact that it says on this site that they are open at 7 probably a dozen or more times they are not open at 7 absolutely poor what business isn't open when they say they are open. I just moved to the neighborhood and had hoped for so much more, but this place is just obscenely overpriced. Yes, they have an impressive selection of beers and ales, singles. An unimpressive selection of wine, though. And the prices are nearly DOUBLE the price of the same wines at a supermarket. In fact, they are significantly higher than wine and beer a short walk in the other direction, at the "other" convenience stores, Circle K and it's neighbor across the street. So instead of walking toward Sunshine, I'll just walk the same distance in the other direction to Circle K if I want to pay a little more, but have a clean store with convenience. Or I'll walk or take the bus to Safeway, not much farther. As for food selection at Sunshine, forget it! Circle K has soooooo much more for a convenience store. And, to add insult to high prices, if you use your debit or credit card at Sunshine you will be punished! To the tune of a fifty cent fee for using it! Outrageous!!!! And then your receipt won't even show the items and prices you purchased. So when you are shocked at the total, you can't even look at the receipt and see what the heck is going on! I have never seen a receipt like this before. It shows only the total. VERY bizarre. In summary: the store is crowded, dim, dirty, overpriced and poor service. I was just passing by & stopped in to get some snacks....... I thought the store looked pretty darn clean to me.. I was impressed with how all the shelves were full stocked & orderly....... AND the floors were being mopped while there that evening... The lady that was in the store was amazingly friendly and helpful.. Almost felt like the way a friend would help me out in a store... Personally, I like THAT lady's great attitude & obviously SHE cared about the store.... she was mopping the floors ... It was a Wednesday evening that i went there....... I don't normally shop in that part of greater AZ, but when I am in the area...... it's a good place to know about... I'd go there again. read more
