This is an easy 5 star rating. I love my car, and do a small bit of wrenching myself, and thus only like leaving my car with folks who have a similar level of attention to detail, and have some specialized expertise. Rich has many years of experience applying window tint (and the like), and he hand cuts the tint. I've never been a fan of pre-cut tint. Centeno (the manager) made it easy to choose Sunshine Control; I went to 50% 3M Crystalline tint on the windows and rear windshield, and 90% (indistinguishable from clear glass). Crystalline is the top of the line tint; even with the clear tint, it blocks 90% of all heat coming into the car. They cared for my Porsche Cayman GT4, and did fantastic work on it. I have uploaded some pictures. By the way, the shop is extra clean, which is usually a good sign. I easily recommend this place for window tinting. read more

I am very happy with the results of my visit to Sunshine Control. I called yesterday to get the next available appointment and I was able to pick up a cancellation for today. I just left and I'm definitely satisfied with the work and materials. The job was started on time and completed early. I went with the 3M crystalline and even though it was a bit more than I was hoping to spend it is worth it! I got tint to reduce the heat in my car and I could immediately tell how well it worked. This was a great recommendation, thank you! One prior review commented on the warranty and materials. I'm no expert but they appeared to use exactly what I paid for. The warranty was registered with 3M and I had a confirmation directly from 3M in my email before I left. On top of that I was given a printed copy of the warranty registration with my receipt. This all appeared to be business as usual since I didn't ask for or mention anything about the warranty. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and highly recommend them. read more

This is the first time I've completed a review twice for the same company (they are that good). Sunshine Control put the 3M Crystalline on all windows (6 total windows for a Tesla Model S) and all I can say is "it's worth the money" and "sunshine control did a flawless job." Unfortunately, the car was in an accident and the auto body shop chipped the driver side rear window during repairs. I called Sunshine Control to schedule an appointment to have the rear window done again. They easily pulled up the information from my first visit to confirm the tint and they were able to get the car in the same day! They charged me the same price for the window back when I got the whole car done. I imagine they could have easily increased the price for doing work on one window only. Sunshine Control is a phenomenal group of people. They are professional, easy to talk to, and provide some honest recommendations. I can't say enough great stuff about the 3M crystalline tint and the incredible work by Sunshine Control. They are the best tint shop I have ever encountered. read more

I don't know where to start. These guys are absolutely outstanding. I kept randomly hearing of them, i didnt plan on doing anything to my corvette but i wanted to see what options i had to customize & make it my own. When i brought my car to them they all were on point. As a woman, I was intimidated going to a shop to get my car worked on I'd feel 1) uncomfortable and 2) taken advantage of. Well, that was as far from what I got when I walked into their shop for the first time. It was obvious they are a family owned business and the guys there introduced themselves when i arrived they are super positive, sounded eager, but also extremely laid back and very patient. I went in there with ideas of what i would want but also wanted the thoughts of a professional and they helped me build my corvette into something unique and amazing by taking my plan and tweaking it slightly btw it was also significantly under the price that they quoted me for my original idea and i loved it even more than my own. They never tried to get over on me one way or another, or tried to do stuff that would be easier and more profitable for them. They let me have free rage to explore many options and the prices for labor are the best. With no plans of actually getting my car done that soon i just wanted to get ideas first I ended up leaving my vehicle that day. They also had a chauffeur service to drop me off at home. It's the kind of place you will go back to for continued work. No wonder i kept randomly hearing about this spot; its in the cut too which are the places i always prefer to go(there the best) You leave feeling great and without feeling like you were taken advantage of. My first appointment was scheduled for a Tuesday and there was a really bad accident which took my travel time from an hour to two, and I kept updating them and they were not only super friendly and understanding, but they were willing to stay late just to accommodate me. I ended up rescheduling for the weekend because I didn't want to make them stay after hours. They did an excellent job on my car. This is hands down best tint job I've seen, and I'm extremely picky. They even wiped down my interior which most places wouldn't even bother. I drove from college park just because their prices were amazing and they use 3m tint when most places use lower quality. I had a Virginia inspection sticker i couldn't get off the windshield and they completely removed it which i think is above and beyond-it wasn't a window that was being tinted. Excellent work on my Subaru Forester today !!! I am very very happy . I tested.drive right away under sunny hot day and no more intense heat that I used to endure. First, when I called in, a person called Santano took the call and he was very friendly, explained clearly and was willing to negotiate the price with discount .The product that he quoted me is called 3M FX prenium 99%UV rejection. Since I want the earliest possible appt , I got the next day appt. People there are so friendly and greet me at the door. Ed was helping me with all the explanation, Q&A, and introduced well the products . He is very professional and knowledgeable. He listened to my need ,( I told him that I have problem with sensitivity to light since I have light cataract and I am extremely sensitive to heat and my skin burns so easily.) He suggested me to have the 3M Crystalline product ( much more expensive then the FX Prenium), and he showed me the sample of each product under the simulation of extreme heat so I can feel the difference. But my budget has the limit....I can't afford the high end product. Luckily he gave me idea of having just the front side window tinted with a higher end product called Crystalline and the rest of the windows they can install regular 3M FX prenium. That way I only pay some extra for it and since it is expensive he gave me much more discount than original quote. Yay.. What else can make me more happy... ,,:-D With the higher quality at the front, the front passenger and driver can benefit from it on regular basis. To summarize : excellent service , excellent products and excellent price!!! read more

This by far is the greatest tint shop I have ever been to. I drove all the way from Alexandria and the drive is well worth it. As soon as I got in, I was greeted by Ed (owner) who I have been communicating with weeks prior on Yelp and another employee. Ed showed me the way, guide me to all the tints they offer, gave me his opinion, never did he nor anyone else tried to lure me into a higher costing tint film, they took their time, they were patient with me on deciding which tint is best for me. One of the employees was so nice that he brought his own car that has the tint that I was thinking about getting to help me decide rather that tint is what I want or not. It was a great help, this level of effort of costumer service wasn't present when I went to a local tint shop that was near my home. They give you great discounts if you check in on the yelp app. Everybody here is very cool, I was never nervous they're all great, nice people. Sunshine Control Window Tinting is very affordable compared to the competition. I highly recommend coming over here if you are living in Northern VA. 100/10 they exceeded my expectation. read more
