Very reasonable pricing. Timely. Great mechanic. My parents have been coming here for years and recommended him to me, and I've now been a loyal customer for over 10 years myself. He never disappoints. The biggest testament to his work: I brought my Toyota Highlander here after insurance titled the car Total Loss. Other shops quoted me $7,469.73 (see pic). He charged me a fraction of the price and said it'll take 2 WEEKS! He had it done in 11 days. That repair was done around 115k miles, and the car is still running strong today at 164k miles. I truly didn't expect to ever have to write anything but this is absolutely sad. From the time my car work was done and from now it went back to the same problem. I payed a huge amount for this mechanic to work on my car to only to find out it went back to its same issue within the two weeks of repair. As a women with children I truly believed this mechanic would help with my car repair so I can have a safe stabled car but to only find out I'm coming back with the same issue like it was never repaired. Even after paying a huge amount. To even make it worst I go back and he looks at my car and states," oh it's the 4th coil without inspecting my car." I hope no one has to go through this. I do encourage to find a different mechanic or to go with a male figure. They gave me a form and a postcard for Sunrise Automotive so I could have the stud replaced for free. I eventually I got around to driving over. I spoke to Robert, who made an appointment for me for the next week. When I returned, I met Ed and his wife (the owners). Super friendly. They had me in and out within an hour. Be weary and extra cautious when taking your vehicle in for diagnostic or repair with this operation. These crooks will not quote or give you an estimate on the spot. Even if you tell them you'll wait or know what you need/want done. Instead they say leave the car and they'll call you back once they get a price on the parts. This is their underhanded method in order to get people to agree to the repair to save the inconvenience of going back and forth. After a few hours they called back and advise how much it's going to cost. I had my caliper, disc, and pads replaced. They'll quote for oem and use aftermarket parts of low quality. Few months later my car started to shake, squeal and make noise. I had another mechanic look at the problem. Was advised poor aftermarket parts were used. I made a mistake of not demanding a detailed invoice and paid with cash. Otherwise, I would of take them to small claims court. Bunch of Liar and Thieves! Been coming here for nearly 10 years now so I thought I'd throw in my experience. I've done all kinds of work here that includes basic maintenance like oil changes to complex jobs like transmission replacement. Understanding that he's usually a one man band, his promised times are not entirely accurate. He can get pretty busy sometimes. Now I recently had a check engine light come back on after one of his repairs but admittedly, that's on me. He recommended to replace the entire transmission but I opted for a cheaper... let's only change out the valve body (lower half of transmission instead of the whole one) and see what happens... Well he did exactly what I told him to do so I'm not going to fault him on that. I'll consider it's as a $400 dollar learning experience. LoL read more

BEWARE! This place will scam you! This is a lengthy post, but I had to go into detail! I was referred to this place by a family friend and I deeply regret it. I brought my truck here to get the transmission rebuilt & the total I paid was $2357. I thought it would get done right for the amount that I had to pay. They did a TERRIBLE job. After I got my truck back, it wasn't shifting as smoothly. I'm not a mechanic, so I thought it was normal since it wasn't a new transmission. As time passed by, I noticed that my truck wasn't accelerating normally. I took it to my dealership to get a full inspection to see what was the issue and I found out it was the transmission AGAIN. Since it was only a little over 2 months and should still be under warranty at their shop, I brought it back to Sunshine Auto Repair to get it redone. When I brought my truck back, Dan (the owner) told me it would be 3 days for them to fix the issue. On the 3rd day he called me and said the parts haven't arrived yet and that he needs another 2-3 days and I was ok with that. Another 2 days past and I received another phone call from Dan. This time he said the part arrived, but it was defective and he would need a few more days to order new parts and replace it AND he assured that it would be done by Saturday 3/13/2021. I called the morning of 3/13/2021 and he said it would be done by 2pm. 2pm came along and he extended it AGAIN because they were "running into problems." He then guaranteed me on Monday 3/15 it would be done. I came to shop Monday afternoon to pick up my truck and Dan was no where to be found. He completely STOPPED answering my calls and texts. His worker told me that the new transmission seal they ordered me was bad and leaking oil, so they needed another week to fix it. I was so furious! This is my work truck and I haven't been able to go to work for 2 weeks! At this point I've lost all confidence in this place and asked for a full refund. Dan refused to give me a refund and said there is nothing he can do. He said he won't give me back anything and if I want I can see him in court. My part (the transmission) has a warranty on it from them providing the part and service, yet they didn't do their job of fixing the problem! Instead they just continuously extended the time, keeping my hopes up of finally getting my car back for work! I highly recommend for everyone to AVOID this place. Dan is a crook and he will SCAM you. My truck is now leaking oil on top of the headaches. I am still trying to get my money back from this snake. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I wish I read reviews prior to coming here. If you're not going to provide quality customer service, then why open & run a shop in the first place? read more

I was a customer here for years since the owner was my neighbor back in my country. I will never come back here though. Recently, my 350z has ABS problem that would not let me brake. Took the car to him, he then said I need to replace my wheel bearing (the whole hub). I didn't even ask cause I love the car so much, I freaked out and accept the charge of 600$ for two front wheel bearings (labor included). I picked the car up the next day, paid him cash and didn't even check out the car, drove home. Suddenly, same problem pop up as if the car hasn't been fixed. I take a look at the wheel and find out he only replaced ONE side and charged me for two??? I talked to him and wanted half my money back cause I'm nice. The part was an aftermarket and very cheap. Even if he give me half the money back, he still pocket so much extra. So much for neighbor love, no more business here for me. This man danh the owner of sunshine auto repair rippeds me off when I called the beureu of motor repair to do the investigation and that I was in the right due to this I had asked him for my money back since my car still wasn't running after I gave him 2500 he refused you give me my money back so they fined him I know of at least a couple thousand when I had taken him to court with my findings knowing that my car was no longer working and proof from the Bureau of automotive repair the rent a car in the meantime have cost me excessive dollars. The judges decision was to award me my money back in full due to his deceptive practices this court date was in central court house small claims july 15th 2014 under webster vs sunshine automotive. I got there monday morning and they said they could not do the job because of some issue with the machine. They make me waste time, money, and gas.
