I had a wonderful experience at Tuan's Dk Auto Repair. The owner is extremely helpful and truly dedicated to providing great service. I'm deeply impressed by their honesty and kindness. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable auto shop read more

I've used Tuans before and just took a second car in for maintenance. Both times, the experience was great. You tell him your problem or what you want, he does a review of your vehicle and elaborates on what he's seeing. Very transparent throughout the whole process and keeps you updated on progress. Would highly recommend just on the customer service experience alone, and his work speaks for itself read more

I got my car serviced for the first time at Tuan's DK Auto repair. The owner took care of every one of my concerns. He was very honest, did an excellent job in a timely manner. The cost was beyond fair! Definitely a trustworthy auto repair shop! read more

Update: The engine bay detail left the coolant hose slightly loose and damaged the radiator outlet. This caused a little leak that led to a full down pour of coolant in just a few days. I got Tuan on the phone and offered to let him fix it as I figured it was just a simple mistake but WOW he got so defensive. He started to yell, saying I was accusing his work, ruining his reputation and his 22 years of experience, that his feelings were now hurt, blah blah blah. I was pretty confused.. It was a common mistake that happened, and after I had another mechanic second my opinion, Tuan just called us both liars. He even persisted saying that he has never ever had any problems and that he never should've worked on my vehicle in the first place because he doesn't take on new customers. The conversation didn't go anywhere and was more hassle than it was worth. Tuan won't stand by his work. To summarize, it was great up until Tuan had to be held accountable for serious problems that he caused. Pretty pathetic and no professionalism. read more

I have been taking my car to Tuan for years now and have to say that he goes above and beyond what any other mechanic would do. He takes great care of my car and always goes over everything going on with repairs. He's stayed late and made sure I had my car back so I could get to work when I needed to. I always get compliments from the tire shop/ smog shop about what a clean engine for a 17 year old car. He really saved me and my family this last week, thanks Tuan and all his employees! Always nice to know I will be back and safe on the road. I highly recommend. And I know he probably doesn't want to make a habit of this, but he knew I was scared to drive on the freeway and he even delivered my car back to me, and washed it. That's 5 star right there. Thank you! read more

I highly recommend Tuans Auto Shop!! Tuan and his team have been handling all of my cars, including a few leases, for almost a decade and not stopping anytime soon. Tuan's shop only provides high quality work, whether it's a simple oil change or full body repair. Over the years, I've had some bad luck and been in a few car collisions. Each time, I've only had the cars sent over to be repaired at his shop and received them back in better condition than before. I'm more than happy to say that I have a great mechanic who I can refer friends and colleagues to, as it's very hard to come by. You won't have to go anywhere else once you've been to his shop. Thanks for everything, Tuan! read more

My very old Toyota Tercel (1994) suddenly decided to ignore me and run the windshield wipers continuously. I made some calls, and everyone said it was the wiper switch (column switch) that had to be replaced. Problem was that the switch was discontinued in the '94 Tercel, and was VERY difficult to find. I finally found a used one from a junk yard, and brought it to Tuan. He said because it was used, he wasn't sure it would work. I said to go ahead and try because otherwise the car was useless. He not only replaced it and it now works beautifully, but he was super speedy, very professional and his price was very reasonable! He has a great knowledge of Toyotas, so I will definitely be bringing my RAV4 and my Tercel to him from now on. Highly recommend Tuan! read more

We needed a brake pad change last minute before a trip. My first stop was at jiffy lube, where they told me they would change my rotors and break pads regardless if the rotors were worn. What a scam. One half the car was over 200 too for probably generic, low quality pads and rotors. I called many other locations asking if they could change my pads same day and no one else could or they did not seem reputable. Finally I stumbled across Tuans on Yelp. He had a solid 5 star which was reassuring. Tuan was very nice on the phone and told me to come by and he will see what he can do. After an initial inspection he found all 4 pads were worn out and one was even cracked (screw Car Max, by the way). He was so informative when telling us the options. He informed us we should get the actual cars brand of pad to ensure longevity and keep our rotors from wearing. Took a couple hours, but the location has a lot of shopping and malls next door which was nice to kill time. Everything came with a one year warranty. I feel like Tuan was honest and kind about everything. You can't say that about many Auto service locations. They are always out to rip you off. Thank you Tuan, we will be visiting you again for future repairs and maintenance on our vehicles. read more

I've been coming to Tuan's Auto repair for well over 8 years. In that time he and his team have serviced 4 of my cars and every time I am impressed with how he walks you through the repair process . He shows you where the problem is during assessment and what he can do to repair the issue, is transparent about parts cost and labor. He has never gouged me or sold an unnecessary tack on service. He recently repaired the under carriage of my 2018 two door civic coupe on short notice and waited maybe 20 minutes! He would have given it a free wash/ detail as well, but I turned it down. Tuan's quality work/ service and honesty are unparalleled! It takes me 40 minutes to get to his auto shop on average and will continue to do so as, I've NEVER left disappointed! If your tired of getting railroaded and ripped off my shoddy mechanics, then go see Tuan. He is as honest as the day is long. I gave him a laundry list of work that needed to be done and he delivered. Under quote. I highly recommend Tuan and his crew. They are the best. read more

Tuan and his team know Toyota's! They've helped me greatly with a used Tacoma I purchased to get it ready for cruising in the desert. They go above and beyond. Thanks! read more

Again, Tuan goes above and beyond and delivers great service at an affordable price. My transmission gave out last week, and I had it towed to Tuan's shop. He gave me three options for a "new" transmission. From the manufacturer, after-market, and even a used option. I appreciate the options and help. He kept me in the loop of the repairs. Like I said earlier, Tuan always delivers great service at an affordable price. Highly recommended. read more

Went to Tuan's a while back to my brakes done and more recently to get my CV boots checked due to some clicking while turning. Tuan took care of both issues expertly, and after replacing my front axle and there was still a noise he replaced the brake shims and adjusted the rear brakes for free to get rid of that nagging little click. Thanks Tuan... I'll be back when the need calls. read more

I took my car to him for the first time after reading all the reviews here. I am so glad that I did. I had such pleasant experience with Tuan. He is upfront about everything, explains exactly what your car needs/does not need. He was honest, sincere and courteous from the beginning to the end of the work process. His mechanics are also awesome. Very friendly and easy to talk to. I have 100% trust in him. I can recommend him to everyone I know with confidence. read more

This is one of the best mechanic I have ever been to. He goes above and beyond when taking care of you and your car. Tuan treats you like you are a close friend or family and not just a customer. When my car was waiting to get picked up, he took it upon himself to wash my car and clean the inside at no extra cost to me. He noticed my wiper blades were old and also replaced them. This guy is literally the best. read more

BEWARE non car savvy owners. I relied on Yelp reviews to check him out because my mechanic was closed and I was close by. He seemed genuinely interested in taking care of my car but he upsold my oil change service because my car was in a "very dangerous driving condition" while the car was being serviced and I left to get some food. According to him, the axle shaft needed a replacement he urged me to fix immediately because it was very dangerous with that. I paid a total of $395 for an oil change and "brand new" axle shaft (see pictures) with labor ($260). About two weeks later, I noticed my car made a noise in the same area he mentioned he fixed. I went to my family's mechanic since it was closer and he actually showed me the damaged axle shaft Tuan claimed to have been very dangerous and had fixed. So either he charged me for something he didn't do, made it all up, or worse damaged it worse himself. There's no way Tuan could've missed this. Either way, I got ripped off and I can't trust him with my car and NEITHER SHOULD YOU. Look at the other reviews where he upsells oil change service customers. I ended up getting the SAME AXLE replaced PROPERLY at my other mechanic for a significantly lower price. Don't let him scare you for repairs that put you in "very dangerous driving conditions!" read more

Tuan and his brother are the best. I have a 2003 Honda Accord with 170,000 miles. He did major maintenance. Timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, cleaned idle control body, replace head gasket, engine seals, etc. Also repaired wobbly steering. Probably half the cost of the dealer. Only took his shop one full day. Also threw in a car detail and oil change. Steam cleaned engine. Communicates regularly throughout the process as far as recommended work and expense. Did a follow up maintenance check at no charge. Always answers phone calls and texts. I will highly recommend his shop for all auto repairs. I'll be a life long customer. read more

Tuan has been our mechanic for years. Repairs are discussed with options if available. Fair price and excellent customer service.

Tuan really saved my tail. We were in town for the holidays and had some serious car troubles. Our family said they'd try to call their mechanic and see if he was open. It was Christmas eve day and...Tuan was in! So we dropped the car off and we got a really reasonable estimate (I think...I don't know that much about cars...). We dropped off the baby and he had the car ready Christmas day. Turns out his staff opted for a four day weekend and worked Christmas eve and Christmas day in exchange. The service was prompt and he resolved all our issues. He charged exactly what the estimate stated. He also included an oil change and a car wash! Our ride came back sparkling :) And furthermore, Tuan was friendly and responsive. The only downside, though this isn't really Tuan's deal, is that the street the shop is located on is packed tight! But then again that's just So-Cal, right? read more

Came in for an oil change left with some new brakes and a fixed hood lock. This place was very friendly and has a great waiting area with a massage chair to boot. Well, way better than any other auto repair shop. There is free wifi too. I got new brakes because they saw how close to the end the brake pads were and recommended I got them fixed and replaced. I did and they were original Toyota parts not aftermarket parts (which are the usual at auto repair shops). I recommend this shot. Next to the Asian mall. read more

My family has been going to Tuan for over 20 years because he is the best! He is a better, more honest, mechanic than our former mechanic who was a family friend! Tuan is genuine, caring, and has a heart of pure gold. He understands that times are tough for a lot of people. He won't rip you off! He'll tell you what needs to be done now, and what can wait. He treats his customers like family. He brings us a turkey dinner every year for Thanksgiving and a yule log cake every year for Christmas. When my dad had trouble walking, he bought us a power scooter. How many of your mechanics would do that?! AND did I mention he details our cars when we bring them in? But, you don't go to a mechanic just because he's super nice, you going to a mechanic to fix your car! Well, there is nobody better at their trade than Tuan and his team. We have five cars and Tuan does a great job at keeping all of them up and running. Not an easy job with young drivers who don't always take good care of their cars! Because of Tuan our cars require less maintenance because he uses top quality parts. And he fixes them right the first time. I can't say enough good things about Tuan and his team! They are truly phenomenal people! Anyone who leaves a bad review of Tuan is a scammer and shouldn't be trusted! It's really sad that some people take advantage of his kindness for their personal gain. I feel very lucky and blessed that our friends referred him to us. Now I refer all of my friends to him as well. That is the sign of a good mechanic! read more

So thankful that my friend referred me to Tuan. I went to a Mazda dealer (my first mistake) for an engine light that was on and was charged an arm and a leg just to get my fuel cap replaced, and on top of that, they gave me a long list of things that I needed to get serviced for my car with astronomical prices. I called Tuan and gave him the list of things recommended for my car (replace brake pads, surface rotors, replace spark plugs, brake flush, transmission service). I was pleased with his quote and pleased that he uses ORIGINAL Dealer parts, which is important to me as well. He was very easy to get ahold of and to communicate with, fixed/replaced everything I needed in a very timely manner. Furthermore, he went above and beyond with doing a few more other items for me without charge. And cherry on top? A mini detail at no charge. I'm very pleased and stoked to have a go-to mechanic for my 2011 Mazda CX-9. No more visits to the dealer! :) read more

5+ star review for Tuan and his auto shop. I was able to get my oil changed with an open appointment, and when I arrived I was greeted by Tuan himself.
