Even better, JJ asked what I was looking for and he really made an effort to help. He took me around the store until we found the cleaner that I had been looking for. Ace is more expensive than the big box stores, but paying a little extra for convenience can be well worth it. Ace always tries to make things right for their customers and JJ did a great job. Ace is a good store to shop at, especially when you don't want to go miles out of your way to get to a Home Depot. The store is smaller but they have a really good selection of products including quality paint. I'll be back shopping at Ace soon.

I'm sure it's good that people are using it. I try to support places like this store as much as possible. It's about 4 miles from my house. The ace store is 7 miles. So depending on what errands I'm running usually steers my shopping. Although any attempt to keep the store virus free is a good thing. But it is a false sense of security if people see masks and assumes it is a viral/germ free zone. The keys are not breathing lol or touching stuff, having a strong immune system, hand sanitizer dispensers that are filled And washing your hands 20 seconds. I was looking for a newly released Milwaukee attachment made for cutting brush and my regular store only had one according to the apps inventory. I looked all over even climbed the staff ladder to check overhead rack inventory (when no staff was around/watching). I asked an associate and he showed me there were none in the front locked areas either. I'm guessing it grew legs and disappeared at the pine ridge store. Getting back to this HD. They had 6 cutters online. It's a completely different vibe all together. Their parking lot appeared full but there were hardly any customers inside. And this was around 1:30 on a Thursday. I was able to walk in and out with exactly what I wanted and was greeted 2 by friendly happy staff. Just get used to turning right as you leave at 3 of the 4 lot exits. When I arrived at the job site and opened the box, I found old, dried food still inside the disposal. It was clearly a used item that had been returned and placed back on the shelf without being properly inspected. As a handyman, this meant I had to stop the job, pack everything back up, drive all the way to Lowe's, exchange the product, and then return to my customer's home. I lost approximately an hour of work because of a mistake that should never have happened. When I explained the situation to the service desk and asked if there was any way they could compensate me for the time I lost due to their error, one employee actually laughed and dismissed me with, "Have a nice day, sir." That response was far more disappointing than the original mistake. A manager eventually offered a 30% discount on a future purchase, which I appreciate, but it still doesn't change the fact that I lost valuable work time or that I was treated disrespectfully. Mistakes happen. Selling a returned item as new is one thing. Laughing at a customer who has been inconvenienced by your mistake is another. As someone who spends thousands of dollars each year on materials for my business, I expect better quality control and much better customer service. Going forward, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
