I use Yelp to gain multiple bids for our home improvement needs. During COVID, we decided to evaluate our landscaping with hopes to install professional turf. However, little did we know we would need to have our windows tinted to prevent new turf from melting! When we began our research, we needed a company who could not only educate us but meet needs in terms of price, quality and especially turnaround! Francisco was responsive and everything to follow was a first-class act. He scheduled time to actually come out; his office team was beyond helpful and knowledgeable; his pricing was on point; his explanations about tint were professional and concise. The final result and turnaround was outstanding and we will contact Francisco from now on with all of our tinting needs. The photos speak for themselves. read more

For years I had wanted to tint a few south-facing windows which generally draw heat during our warmer months. I finally decided to and Sunshades couldn't have made it easier. They returned my call promptly, provided a fair quote and installed the film today. Very clean, professional and I can already feel the difference in heat transmission. Plus, I get some added privacy which is always nice! Great job. Thanks read more

Veronica of Sunshades scheduled an appointment. She came out and inspected the job and took measurements and showed samples. I then received a call from the Manager with a proposal that I accepted. The following day Joshua their installer came and and did a great job removing the old film and installing new Ceramic film. A great job by all at Sunshades. read more

Francisco and his staff at Sunshades has tinted the windows of each vehicle we have owned since 2000. The quality of his work is outstanding. There has never been an issue with the tint bubbling or edges rolling. The costs are very reasonable and he stands by his work. Sunshades Window Tinting - 2024 Tundra - Home Window Tinting Near Me - Palm Desert, California

Yelp has been phenomenal when recommending contractors. Everything I've done to my home has been from research done here. So, I'm compelled to share my experience with Sundshades Window tinting from Palm Desert. Back Story: I had requested a quote from Sunshades back in July. I was assisted by a saleswoman who quoted me around 2,400 for both my living room and bedroom windows. At the time it wasn't within my budget so I advised I would shop around. Early August, I received a call from the same woman advising my they had extra material and could meet my 2K budget. I was thrilled and accepted the bid. All the windows where subsequently tinted except from one, which I was waiting for it to be repaired. Upon completion, I received a final invoice for 2,400. I was baffled. I spoke to saleswoman who advised I had added an additional room. Quote was only for 10 windows. I counted 10 windows. Well one window has 2 panels which totals 2 windows. I expressed my frustration and asked to speak to the owner Francisco for further explanation. Plus, they had to come back to do the 1 (2 panel) window. In my opinion it was a complete bait and switch. I specifically pointed out which windows I wanted done and what I wanted the estimate for. Fast forward 2 weeks. After radio silence from Francisco or the saleswoman. Francisco showed up at my door yesterday. He demanded the 2,400. I explained to him the scenario, what I had pointed out and what my top dollar budget was. I was very clear about this. This is why I decided to hold off a few weeks on this project. Francisco accepted the 2K amount. He requested my credit card at my front door. I told him, "No offensive but I don't really trust what your company says. Send me a final updated invoice for my records, and I'll call your office today to process my payment." Reasonable request I believed. Didn't want my card charged 2,400 then I have no documentation of our agreement. Francisco became "elevated" to say the least. He demanded my credit card on the spot. I said no. No final invoice, no payment. Simple. At this point, I told him, no need for him to tint the final window. I requested the final invoice and our transaction would be complete and we can part ways. He is no longer welcomed back on my property. He said, "Oh, I'll be back." This morning I had planned to contact Francisco. Knowing small business are probably under added stress due to C19, I would give him the benefit of the doubt. Reviews have been positive about Francisco on yelp and anyone can have a bad day. My plan was to meet Francisco in the middle. I walk out of my garage to walk my dog. I immediately noticed my mom's car had been keyed from front to rear bumper. I knew it had happened within a day or so because the car hasn't moved. I reviewed my RING camera footage, and to my shock, Francisco (the owner) upon leaving my house yesterday keyed my car. On video, plain as day. I hesitated to report this on this forum because anyone can have a bad day, but this is not normal behavior. This is an intentional violent act. It was a sales bait and switch tactic that failed and a retaliatory violent response. This has been reported and footage has been turned over to the Sheriff's Department. It is a felony. This is someone I let in my home. Wanted to let the Yelp world know so it doesn't happen again. Great experience with Sunshades! We wanted ed our complete west side windows tinted to help cut down on the heat in the afternoons and add a little privacy. Sunshades was very quick to respond to our requests. They explained all the options and put samples up on the window for a comparison and explained the process, and supplied the quote by that afternoon. Installers arrived at their promised day/time and covered 6 floor to ceiling windows professionally and rather quickly, highly recommend them for any window tinting! read more

Sunshades always seems to amaze me. We have been getting our cars done with them for over 10 years. I just got my dream car ( Grand Jeep Cherokee w/three row seats) I am a softball team mom, and I'm always driving my girls around from city to city. I wanted privacy and to reduce heat. However I have trouble driving at night, so I didn't want to go to dark. So we decided to go with a light color since the back has already privacy glass. After driving the car for a couple days, I realize it was still too light for me. I'm receive a call from Sunshades a week later, as a courtesy follow-up call. I told them my concerns, and I was pleasantly surprised that they had offered me to bring my car back and re-tinted for free. For being a loyal client. They looked at my records and noticed that, I had 6-previous vehicles done with them. TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! Thank you, Sunshades team for being outstanding in every way. read more

Minus one star due to the rear view mirros still having streaks and bubbles. Only been a month and already have a rock chip go thru the ppf on one headlight and I noticed some spots in the rear view window tint. The employees are very nice and offered to fix the rear view mirrors ppf but it is a far drive for me to go again in a month. They gave me a refund for the mirrors but couldn't do anything about the headlight. I guess I'll have to plan a whole day to drive out and hour each way and have everything fixed just sucks that's its only been a month and I'm already having This many problems. read more

It takes an unusually superior experience for me to take the time to write a review, but in this case the team at Sunshades Window Tinting (in particular Veronica and Lily) deserve it! The team was very supportive of me as I worked with my HOA to get approval to tint 10 older clerestory windows - a process that took approximately 3 months. When I needed additional samples to evaluate with our architectural review committee, the team was prompt, courteous and professional. When I had to replace a window and get it retinted (no fault of Sunshades WT) they took full responsibility for ensuring that the work would be completely covered by my warranty - including coordinating the various window replacement estimates as well as any communications that were needed with the film's manufacturer. Once the pane was replaced, the Sunshades team came back and retinted the window promptly with an excellent result. Their support - even after the original work was completed - was exceptional and I would not hesitate to use them again. Very highly recommended. read more

So just to be clear, I hardly ever write reviews for businesses. However in this case, I feel that it is well deserved. Cisco did an amazing job tinting the windows on my Mercedes Benz coupe. There were a few errors that weren't Cisco's fault, but the nature of the tinting process that I brought to his attention. Cisco is a man who stands proudly by his work and I appreciate it. He fixed the issues I had (small bubbles that didn't go away) a total of three times so that it would be perfect and never hesitated to do so. Great job Cisco and I will be getting more tinting and referring anyone that asks to you! read more

Found these guys by yelping. We are glad we did! Overall an excellent job. We wanted our car and house done and we did! First our car. Francisco took plenty of time explaining the different tints to is. He also looked up the requirements for different states. Our car has Arkansas plates. WPS go Hogs! There are different rules for different states. While there we talked about the kinds of tints we could get on our rental property. He have is a sample to take home to see if we like it on our windows. Of course we did. A week later his team came put an installed it. The heat difference is a BIG deal. The tint allows light in and reflects the heat away. Very very very happy with our choice. Highly recommend this place. Great service , excellent quality, and timely installation. read more

I researched different tint shops in the Coachella Valley and Sunshades was the best option. Angelica was very professional with her communication from the start. They were very transparent about their prices and explained the quality of each film very thoroughly. Francisco was very helpful and took the time to explain the benefits of the films they carry. I went with 3% in the Wincos brand. This offers amazing privacy and my kids are no longer complaining about the sun beating down from the sunroof. I highly recommend! read more

Francisco and team did a great job with installing film on my car windows. The film really helps with the sun glare here in the desert. The film was installed so professionally that one can't tell that there is film except by the benefits. I highly recommend Sunshades! read more

After living with the window tinting for a couple of days we discovered it acted like a mirror from inside the house at night. We were unable to see out. We contacted Francisco who basically told us that's the way it is and there was nothing he could do for us. He so much as called my wife a liar ! He said the tint he removed did the same thing - but it really didn't. Bottom line is buyer beware- make sure your get what you want. You have no recourse after it's installed. read more

I am new to Yelp! With that being said, Sunshades Window Tinting entire staff, did an excellent job from beginning, to the end of my transaction. Normally businesses do not impress me, but Sunshades absolutely took me by surprise. I didn't realize how many different types of window films are in the market. Francisco was so patient with me. He took his time to explain every single different type of films they have from carbon to their best performance infrared nano ceramic products. They have a machine in the lobby that you can test the different types of films. I love their best performance film, however it was not in my budget. I really enjoyed working with Francisco. He was not pushy at all. He genuinely, wanted me to get something that would work with my budget. That made my car look great and still giving me the great benefits of a ceramic film. Juan and Daniel did install the film on my car. They were no bubbles! There was a sticker to remind me not to roll down my windows for five days. Daniel explained how to keep my film looking great. They gave me a microfiber towel( recommend for cleaning) to take with me with my lifetime warranty card. I have to give Sunshades A+ for outstanding service! read more
