He was very patient with our group of 11 trying to decide what cruise line we should pick. Michael answered all of our questions in a quick and timely manner, ensuring that we were always informed and confident in our decisions. What truly stood out was his commitment to customer satisfaction--he even took the time to call us over the weekend, outside of regular working hours, to let us know that an upgrade we were interested in had become available and to ask if we would like to proceed. This level of attentiveness and care is rare and highly commendable. He is the best travel agent we have ever had and we want to thank him for his outstanding service.

After a few hours I was able to finally call him back and Jeff answered the phone. Put me on a brief hold and when he got back he told me that Paul will be going on vacation and decided to let Jeff help us instead. I gave Jeff of some info of what we are looking for but he didn't seem very trilled. He sounded so bored knowing you need to sell in this type of business. It's our first time trying out with a travel agent since we're planning on going to Europe. When I hear the words "travel agents" first thing pops into my head is very helpful & knowledgable. That wasn't the case for this agent. I told him to contact my husband since he's the one going to deal with the financial part of our trip. He did call my husband and got more info from him. Jeff basically just gave my husband the suggestions/places he mentioned to him to review for the price. He didn't go out his ways to give us more options and asking my husbands for any other places we want to visit instead. We wanted someone to help us find the perfect destination not the other way around. Otherwise why use a travel agent?

This hotel is the perfect storm of laziness, neglect, and false advertising. From the moment I…read morestepped in, I could feel my standards lowering themselves out of self-defense. The lobby looks like it hasn't been updated since flip phones were cool, and the couch had so many stains, it looked like it belonged on a forensic files episode. The staff? Let's just say, I've seen vending machines with more personality and better customer service. I asked a simple question at check-in and got hit with a blank stare, a sigh, and a whole lot of attitude--like I was interrupting their vacation. I finally get my key card, go up to the room, and... yikes. First red flag? The door took three tries to open because the card reader looked like it had been scratched by a raccoon and half-glued back together with Elmer's. I walk in, and the vibe is immediate: "You're not supposed to be comfortable here." The room smelled like dust, old socks, and broken promises. The carpet? It had that crunchy feeling--like nobody had vacuumed since the last eclipse. The bed was a joke. Sinks in the middle, squeaks like a haunted rocking chair, and the pillows were so flat I folded one in half and it disappeared. I wouldn't even let a coat rest on those things. Tried to relax, turn on the TV--and surprise--it only has five working channels. One of them is just static, one is the hotel welcome screen that loops every 12 seconds, and the rest are news from three time zones away. I thought I was in a time machine, not a hotel. The bathroom? Not gross, but barely functioning. The water pressure was so weak I thought the shower was just giving up on life. The towels were scratchier than a wool sweater made of sandpaper, and one had a weird smell like it was dried in a basement. Also, who uses bar soap the size of a Tic Tac and expects that to count as "amenities"? Walls? Thin as paper. I could hear the guy in the next room breathing. I knew his whole Spotify playlist. I was practically a guest in his room too. And let's talk about the Wi-Fi, because this part made me want to walk out the front door and sleep in my car. It was slower than dial-up. I tried loading a webpage and had enough time to think about my life choices, stretch, and age five years. I ended up using my phone data just to open an email. Look, this hotel isn't scary. It's not filthy. It's just sad. Tired. Worn out. The kind of place you book because you're desperate, and then immediately regret because you feel like the building is also trying to quit. Honestly? I've had better nights sleeping on a school bus during a field trip. And at least back then, nobody was pretending it was a "3-star experience." I'd rate zero stars if I could

DISGUSTING HOTEL and AREA! Hotel Santo Tomas is NOT a 3-star…read morehotel by any stretch of the imagination, it is 1.5 stars AT BEST. It is located in a shanty and very dangerous part of town. Because of that, the hotel's main entrance is heavily gated with thick metal bars all the way to the roof and looks like a jail. This of course is not shown in any of its advertising photos. I have NEVER seen nor heard of a 3-star hotel (or any hotel) with metal bars in its entrance The room we stayed in, although an upgrade from economy rooms, was also unacceptable: Deeply scratched walls, dirty worn out carpets, dust everywhere, broken inside door-latch, totally broken door handle that fell off, huge stains on its curtains and chair, and fleas! This was the only room in the hotel with air-conditioning, although the hotel is located in the Tropics. Its manager Marcos is not a person to be trusted. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should anyone stay in that area and especially in this "hotel" Santo Tomas. I had to get my money back from the credit card for the booking because Marcos did not allow us to stay after I had complained about the hotel even though we had already paid for the room. I want to write much more sharp words and in great detail about this "hotel", but unfortunately the Search Engine does not allow me.

We went to Italy, and she fashioned a beautiful itinerary for us based on things we wanted to do and based on things we didn't even know we could do that she recommended. Most extraordinarily, we wanted to go to a soccer game for our 15-year-old, but tickets didn't go on sale until about two weeks ahead of the game. She must have followed up 6 times to assure us she was checking on the tickets and that she'd get them when they came available. Her app was incredible during the entire travel experience. Every single person on the Italian side--from drivers, to handlers, to tour guides--was incredible. We wanted an epic trip to Italy, and there's no way we could have planned this ourselves. I can't recommend Daria enough! I'd give ten stars if I could.

As always we worked great together discussing where to go and what to see in Italy. She put together a perfectly balanced itinerary. All of our travel days were seamless, the hotels were fabulous and our excursions were so memorable. For example, we checked off a special bucket list item when we visited Pompeii. Daria scheduled our driver, purchased our tickets and offered to get us a guide all in advance. It made the experience that much more enjoyable. I can't say enough about Daria's accessibility before, during and after our trip. We are so grateful for her travel knowledge and resources. Third time is definitely a charm and we look forward to planning our next trip with Daria and Journeys of a Lifetime!

I invited myself to a a friend's family vacation (thank god they were excited to have us join! ). The trip was fast approaching (I mean within 2-3 weeks). I was referred to Karen and within an hour or two, we had an all inclusive resort on the beach set for a family of four!! Not only that, she got us to stay at the same place as our friend along with all transportation included for both families (we did everything together). Prior to leaving the country, Karen sent important details and reminders to ensure smooth sailing (or flying) which was extremely helpful given covid restrictions. She checked in on us during our stay as well as before traveling back home. There were some mix ups during the travel BUT Karen continued to help fix any and all issues that we encountered right away even with the time difference. It was almost as if she were right there with us. I have never used a travel agent let alone post a review on Yelp. However, it should be know that Karen is an excellent agent and works extremely hard to ensure your vacation will be one to remember (of course in a good way). I highly recommend her for your travel needs! Thank you Karen!
