Cute Spot with Great Staff but Different Vibes Day vs. Late Night Ambiance and Setup This place is super cute and has a really nice patio style "rooftop" area (technically the second floor). The decor is fun and aesthetic, and it's a great spot for brunch, drinks, or hookah. You do have to walk up about two short flights of stairs to get there. I didn't see an elevator, so that's something to keep in mind. Parking There is shared parking downstairs with the other businesses in the building. During the day it can get pretty full, but when we came late at night there was plenty of parking available. Food and Drinks On our recent visit we ordered the nachos and added protein, and they were really good...flavorful and filling. I've also been here before for breakfast/brunch a couple years ago and the food was great then too. The mimosas were really good, and overall the brunch experience was wonderful. They also offer drinks and hookah, which is one of the reasons we wanted to come back at night. Games One thing I thought was really cool is that they provide some games for guests to play. We didn't end up using them, but it's a fun little touch that adds to the experience. Brunch / Breakfast Experience (5 Stars) When I came during the morning for breakfast and mimosas, the atmosphere was relaxed, cute, and really enjoyable. The staff was friendly and everything felt calm and welcoming. It was honestly a great brunch spot and I would absolutely recommend it for daytime visits. Late Night Experience (3 Stars) We came back late at night around 2 a.m. for food. While the staff and food were still great, the overall energy was very different from the daytime experience. The late night crowd was louder and higher energy, and some of the guests were a bit unfriendly, which made the atmosphere feel a little less comfortable for us personally. This isn't really the restaurant's fault, but it did change the vibe compared to the relaxed brunch visit I had before. Hookah Policy They do have a hookah minimum policy. For example, tables of three must order one hookah, tables of five must order two, and so on. If guests choose not to order hookah, there is a required minimum spend or a small fee per person. Just something to be aware of before going. Service Charge There is an 18% service charge added, so keep that in mind when budgeting. Service The hostess and waitress were both very friendly and attentive. Even when things got busy, they stayed calm and professional, which we really appreciated. Overall Still a really cute place with great service and good food. I'd personally recommend coming earlier in the evening or during brunch hours if you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere. I came here for brunch last year and didn't write a review bc my experience was not too great and I decided to give it a try during the evening when they have events. Well, I brought 2 friends. It was their first time there. Karaoke and a DJ. I called ahead to ask if they had a DJ this night and if we had to make a reservation. The person who answered the phone said "no reservations . Now look...the food and customer service were awful. Just so awful that I am literally taking time to detail every single thing. I ordered a Philly with only meat, cheese, and bread. I just said "I'd like it super plain. Just plain." I specifically asked what comes on it and said "I'd like none of that. Just the meat, cheese and bread. None of the peppers, onions, and mushrooms." The waiter laughed and so did my party. So, it was actually discussed, but in a humorous way. All good, I don't mind them laughing at my order. Also, I asked for truffle fries. The waiter said "there is a $3 up charge." I said "cool." I also asked for Long Island with pineapple juice instead of Coca Cola. My friend ordered catfish. (It arrived waaaayyyyy after everyone else's food) The third person in our party ordered wings. She also ordered truffle fries while we waited on our food. (Those came after all the food. Smh) Oh and our drinks came way after the food as well. The Long Island arrived. It was dark. So, I immediately asked "this has pineapple juice instead of Coca Cola right?" He said "yes." When he walked away. My first sip was almost completely coca cola. My first bite of the Philly was a mound of mushrooms and onions. There is a photo below after he took the Philly bc I said I'll keep the fries. You can see a piece of pepper leftover. My fries never came truffled either. The entire order was messed incorrect. There is more, but I'll just stop here. Horrible experience. The karaoke was entertaining. We all sang, but we were hungry. My friends didn't eat their food batter the waiter left it at the bar for 10 minutes while people breathed all over it. That right there was crazy. So...yea it wasn't a good experience at all. Last night, I had a very disturbing and painful experience at Sunset Rooftop that I feel other customers should be aware of. While sitting and watching karaoke, a staff member accidentally dropped an entire bowl of hot hookah coals directly onto my lap without warning. The incident happened suddenly and caught me completely off guard. As a result, I sustained multiple burns to my upper thighs, and I am currently experiencing significant pain and discomfort. What made the situation even more concerning was the staff's response afterward. The employee involved did not immediately apologize or show an appropriate level of urgency or concern regarding the seriousness of the injuries. The incident was witnessed by multiple people nearby, including the table seated next to us, yet the response from staff made the situation feel minimized rather than handled with the care and professionalism it required. This was not a minor inconvenience -- hot coals being dropped onto a customer presents a serious safety hazard that could have caused even more severe injuries. Businesses that serve hookah and handle burning coals have a responsibility to ensure proper safety procedures, staff training, and immediate incident response protocols are in place to protect patrons. I am sharing this review to document my experience and to encourage others to exercise caution when visiting this establishment. I usually come to this location and recommend it to a lot of people, however my last two visits consecutively were a little bit under par. I paid for a drink and the sip and paint special. However, I had to wait almost an hour and 30 minutes for my drink to be brought out, and the painting session was completely over, twice in a row. I'm not sure if it was deliberate or if there was some sort of error however, I just didn't feel very valued and like I should be continuing to invest money into the space. This will unfortunately be my last visit as I don't feel like signing up to not get service for a third time would be very reasonable/practical on my end. All the best. read more

Parking is free at nights and there is a small parking lot. They have gold champagne flutes that are so cute and a dj that comes in. They do a lot here such as sip and paints, candle making and karaoke. For one the place is not accessible to handicap. I had a friend who was in a wheelchair. They claimed the elevator went out the day before so she was unable to get in. I'm on a cane. Things I liked: - drink prices during HH (until 5pm) are very reasonable given the location. - loved their private rooms to get work done, smoke hookah (or do certain things that might be frowned upon!) - vibe is nice, but at the time I went, it wasn't crowded, thus I can't speak about how it is during crowded times. Things I did not like or would caution: - parking is very limited and shared with at least one other business there. Street parking is tough as well. Plan accordingly. - cocktails are not made with hard liquor, so keep your expectations low. - Noise levels are high (music) so don't plan on having in-depth conversations with your BFF or S.O. while you are there. However, I went for a Groupon experience, bottomless mimosas and candle making. I was told to make a reservation, which was easy to do, I simply called and told the hostess I purchased the candle making for two people and wanted to make a reservation for the following Sunday and she easily added me +1 for 5:30pm. Unfortunately, upon check in, I was told that candle making is actually at 8pm and paint and sip is 5:30pm. I explained that when I made the reservation she asked if 5:30 worked and I said yes. The hostess informed me that it was a mistake because candles are 8pm every day with paint @5:30 every day. She offered to add me to the paint, which although I don't enjoy at all, my friend was down for. As we were early we decided to order some food. I asked for a draft beer and was told it wasn't working, so I ordered a bottle of beer, which at $9 I thought was a bit pricey. We ordered nachos and were told they were out- this was at 4:45 pm on a Sunday. After checking with the chef, the server told us that we could indeed order nachos. We also ordered hummus and grilled pita which for $13 an order, I figured had to be massive. I'll let you decide by the pics. Royale was cool as our server, my first time @sunsetrooftop. Marino was also great for keeping our hookah maintained. I ordered hot pepper wings & fries they were yummy and hot. The kitchen is currently being renovated, my daughter having her engagement party on august 30th hopefully it will be ready. This place is cozy we had fun a lot , they are some things that isn't good. The parking lot is very small there's street parking available. Visited this bar/lounge on a Tuesday night around 11:30. There are two sections that you and your group can enjoy, either sitting outside or inside. Open seating was available this night so it was hassle free. They have good and strong drinks available with a wide selection from spirits/wine/beer , and also offer hookah. The DJ that was playing "DJ Pony Boy" had great musical selection , ranging from hip-hop and r&b music you've listened to in the early 2000's to the newer music. The crowd that night was more 30/40 year olds. There was also a trivia game around 12:30-1am that made the experience enjoyable. Drawbacks: Limited parking in parking lot, but there is street parking available and also inside if there are more bathrooms , but the ones that were located inside to the left of the bar had only had 2 restrooms. Ambiance was pretty decent , the lights were dimmed , and there were soft red/green and blue bulbs. Definitely would recommend and also definitely planning on returning again. Such a cute fun candle making class. We had a private room we share with 2 other gals who were cool. We were able to connect to a speaker and play our own music. What a super fun experience sunset hookah provided with their candle making class. I few months back I purchased a Groupon for my friend and I to make some candles. I called based off their availability online, we were able to book pretty much immediately. We choose a 7pm class. When we walked in we were attended to immediately by the waitresses and taken to a room. The side room had a set up for us. It was nice because it was a closed off room, if you had a group of people it could have easily been a nice intimate experience. Again we were checked on multiple times and asked if we wanted or needed anything. We ordered a hookah, fried zucchini and two cocktails, which all were brought out within 10 minutes. As we were enjoying our drinks and hookah Armond and Olivia came in and instructed us that they were going to walk us through the candle making process. We were able to choose a base for our candle, the color of wax, scent, types of wicks, and floral embellishments to top our candles. The whole experience start to finish was a few hours but it was very nice, we were always attended to. Armond and Olivia were both wonderful, from walking us through that we were doing to sharing with us that the base we have can be reused and what we can do to refill our candles at home . I was a little concerned based on the reviews, but I didn't let it steer me away, especially considering I got a great deal on Groupon for their bottomless mimosas. We came Thanksgiving weekend, shortly after 2pm which I was happy we did since it wasn't packed and they end bottomless at 5pm. That alone is a game changer, especially for the folks who don't want brunch and just like to enjoy mimosas on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I can definitely see it being more vibey on a busy weekend where people aren't traveling for the holidays, but this was perfect for us. They were also playing some great music, a little Sza moment if you will. Restaurant is located upstairs and has both an indoor/outdoor area to sit. We sat in the patio as it was a nice day. The patio is covered, has heaters, and walls and ceiling are covered with fake grass and flowers. There was a tv also playing the football game. Jupiter was our server. He was super attentive and helpful! His energy was great and was so kind when we requested to change tables as we wanted a little more sun. The mimosas came in a gold champagne flute which made me feel like I was in VH1 Love is Blind. I was so here for that! They offered pineapple, orange, and cranberry flavor mimosas, all which were great! We ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and Cheeseburger that were each served with seasoned fries. We were definately a fan of their fries. It's the big cut, soft but fully cooked style. If your wanting that small thin fry crispy stuff, it's not here. This is more of a preference thing. We also ordered their nachos with steak. Home made chips! You can tell they were fresh out the fryer topped with the cheese. The meat was so perfectly seasoned, served with guac, pico, and salsa verde on the side which was different than how nachos are typically served but we didn't mind at all. We were all happy and satisfied with the dishes we ordered. They also host several events, so follow them online to see. From candle making, to silent disco, to paint and sip, it looks like they don't fall short of entertainment. Only things I wish was that their plates wouldn't be plastic with disposable condiment containers, felt cheap like those mom and pop burger joints where they serve burgers and ranch on the side.
