This location doesn't seem to get as busy as some other recycling centers. So, if you don't recycle because you don't like dealing with long wait times, then this is the place for you. Lots of parking around it since it's on the Ralph's parking lot. Recycle as it's good for the planet! read more

Signage lists that they accept all plastics 1-6, but they ONLY accept CRV bottles. My quest for dropping off takeout containers and yogurt tubs (5 PP) continues, as they're not accepted in residential pickups in Pasadena. read more

Was pretty fast and efficient. First time ever recycling Made $10 ** Beware ** depending on the time and how much has already been recycled. There were bees everywhere. I wouldn't park super close by next time. some wanted to catch a ride home with us. read more

Wasn't that great of a recycling experience to start off the new year. The new employee is very very rude. Bottles fell out of my trash bag from the trunk and a mid-50's woman with poorly dyed blonde hair laughed. I asked her, "is it funny?" She looked away. The employee assumed I was throwing away some things in the trash and he told me, "you have to take those back, I don't have room for those." All I wanted was to ask if he took milk bottles and detergent bottles like the guy before? He didn't have to assume I was throwing trash there. Why am I there if not to recycle? I have my own trash cans at home. This new guy shouldn't be working so rudely. I don't think he knows he's being tough, rough, and rude all at once. The people who recycle there like to look and stare at people. It makes things uncomfortable. I don't think I'll come back here anymore. The guy before was really nice. The one in San gabriel at New Fortune Market is nice. He's just further away. It's worth the drive. read more

This place should be a good recycled place to go,I been there 3yr since today.they always change different workers but now the change new workers again since December The new employer kind slow and lazy and bad attitude to do their job, usually lunch time is 12:30 -1PM but today I been there 2:30PM still on lunch time. What disappointed me to waste my time to wait again. And the workers refused my glasses bottle only take 2 buckets the reason he said is full but a lot customers still bring glasses in lines, one more thing they didn't have receipt for me to sign, maybe they're cheating or corrupt they owner, who knows, every time going there always have to sign before they pay you,but today they didn't,and pay me less than usual. They need to improve management so they not lost the business. read more

They give you way less than what you can make with four bins worth of plastic bottles

If you want to be ripped of, go there. I tried multiple places. This place gives the least amount of money for the same number of bottles.

Recycling in Los Angeles, California... I read a review by my friend, John T., And was really inspired by his words: "Be the change you want to see in the world: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle..." I was very motivated, gathered up our empty water bottles, and headed to Sunset Recycling Center! Niki and I happened to have purchase the smaller 8 oz. water bottles from Costco. I guess it turned out for the best because - since I had a small amount of items, everything was hand counted. Note: the plastic bottles had a limit of fifty pieces. I can return on another day to redeem the balance. Each item (aluminum cans, glass bottles, and plastic bottles) was worth five cents. The total was $2.95. The efficient worker rounded up to $3. Yay! I took a photo of my receipt. The worker offered to give me a copy, but I told him that we should save paper! The worker actually surprised me by not only explaining everything, but also - He had perfect English and noteworthy manners!!! (At home in Hawaii, I usually hear Pidgin English by "rougher types" of characters... AKA "mokes"... LOL!) Because of this polite, helpful young man, I don't mind returning to this recycling center! read more

It's always a great experience with this location and staff . I highly recommend this location . With the value of great customer w read more

Be the change you want to see in the world: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Note: The recycling place use to be RePlanet. You also don't have to take your receipt and go inside Ralphs to get yo money no more. Four Step Program For Great Experience 1) Separate (cans, water bottles, beer bottles, etc) your recyclables beforehand. 2) Get a trash can or two (that is provided) and place them in there (one for plastic bottles, one for cans, and etc). If you have a few stragglers (extra recyclables that area few), give them to your neighbor who has a decent amount of specific recyclables. 3) Wait in line until it is your turn. 4) After the weighing is done, sign the receipt, get yo monies, and leave. read more

Has been my favorite center for a while now, unfortunately they lost a customer today because of their out of control bee issue. I noticed it a couple weeks ago but it has gotten exponentially worse, clearly no one addressed it when it was a small problem. There were literally bees swarming everywhere, I was so worried about getting stung. Feel bad for the guys that have to work there. I will have to find a new location that I like. Bummer! read more

Do not come here! Depending whom is working that day, there is one or two different workers that cheat you on the weight and payment. My husband went last month and got $28 for 3 big construction bags of plastic bottles, but yesterday, 1/08/2023 at 3:40pm, he got only $29 for 3.5 same big construction bags of plastic bottles and half same bag of aluminum cans and also 1/4 bags of glass bottles. They don't give you the receipt you signed neither. read more
