I am finishing up my last session of laser hair removal on my lip and chin with Radda. Shes awesome and the only one I have ever seen. Radda, is so sweet and very thorough. She really takes her time and I can feel that shes getting all my trouble spots.You should request Radda! So, I say If you have ever thought of getting lase done, do it!! I am medium to light skin with dark brown hair and black course facial hair. My chin was my problem area, it was so gross I could not keep up with tweezing and all the touching and tweezing was irritating my chin so bad that it was broke out and noticeably hairy. There was no keeping up with it anymore. After the first session I noticed a difference in my skin and every treatment since has drastically changed my chin. No more brake outs and the hair on my chin comes in white, not black anymore. Yes, I still have a little prickle now and then. I also have to shave about once a week. Remember though, women are hormonal and hair growth is connected to hormones. So there is no forever fix, I am thinking I'll have to maintain it every 3-4mo. My chin was so bad that the little bit of shaving and future maintenance I have to do, ill be happy with! I love laser hair removal so much! I am doing every area I possibly can! OMG I would love to laser every inch of my body haha!! Oh, the time I would save in life! Now my only complaints are, is Radda is always late. I always rush to be on time and it takes me 35 min get there. That being said, she does take her time with me, so I am assuming she just giving everyone a thorough treatment. Second complaint is, pricing. I asked about some face product one week. I didn't purchase it that week. I was told it was 130 with the discount and she would put it in my file for next time I come in. The very next treatment I asked to purchase it and the price jumped up to 150 with discount. She did end up giving me an additional discount at the end, I only paid 125. So, I was happy. Not sure what happened there. I do wish there was a price list somewhere and their discounts printed together or something on the website or hard copy. I do feel, Sunset Med is the cheapest with the most knowledgeable staff and I did do a lot of research on laser and think Sunset is a pretty good pace to go!! Ill be back!! The office staff is completely un organized. I went to get my face done and they inform me at the appointment that you cannot use benzoyl peroxide within 3 days of the treatment. Maybe that is something you should state on the phone before someone drives 45 min to get there. The woman wasn't even remorseful about this situation. Don't bother going. read more

I bought a groupon for a large area for six treatments. The people at Spa are fine. Some are really friendly and engaging and some are quiet and don't say much. I had four different people perform six treatments. After six treatments, I have just as much hair as I did before I started the treatment. I have dark hair and medium color skin. It did not really work for me. read more

I wanted to get a refill for my Jane Iredale foundation compact, had called around and no one had a refill which is $8 less than getting a whole new compact. When I called Sunset Medspa I was told they had the refill in my color so I drove out of my way to buy it from them and when I arrived they had set aside a new compact for me, they in fact, did not have the refill and it took two people and 15 minutes to make my purchase. Very frustrating. I don't think I'd trust people who can't answer simple questions or conduct simple transactions to do procedures on my skin. They lost my business. read more

I got microdermabrasion here. It was my first time so I expected it to be a bit unpleasant. To my surprise it wasn't! I had just a little sensitivity the next day- like a little sunburn but the results were well worth it. Heather did an amazing job with the facial which is part of the treatment. I LOVE Sunset MedSpa!!! I have to agree with Trisha's review... that BOTH Kelli & Kendra are absolutely TOP-OF-THE-LINE aestheticians!! I've had the opportunity to have treatments from them both, and therefore know firsthand, that BOTH of these women are incredibly knowledegable, professional, committed & dedicated to delivering an impeccable service(s) &/or treatment(s), while maintaining constant sensitivity and sincerity. I am now seeing Kelli for all aesthetic needs, as her very flexible personality & style, help our schedules to connect better (& she's just THAT awesome!!!) but I can attest to the fact that you would have an excellent experience w/any of the skincare providers. Most recently I had a chemical peel (LOVED it!), and had laser hair removal, with their new & innovative laser! IT. WAS. AWESOME! I expected at least SOME pain... as 6-7 yrs back I had it done & could really feel that "zap" when it connected to a hair.... but this - this was an experience all its own! The very first treatment of my underarms... and I felt NOTHING... but the warm/cool tip move quickly around my underarm area... and it was done. In a matter of seconds. In that first treatment, I lost at least 80-85% of all the hair!! Was I ever thrilled! I a few small spots on my face done, but my biggest excitement was having my LEGS done!! And it was described to me as feeling "much like a hot rock massage"... and I guess I can agree w/that. Although it really wasnt hot, just warm, it was comfortable, and also completed before I knew it. Kelli made sure I was comfortable at all times, wearing protective eyewear while the laser was powered on, and then provided me w/a cup of cold water to rehydrate & walked me right to the Jane Iredale makeup center, where I could do any touch-ups to my make-up and experiment w/the products. Thats an excellent make-up line, by the way, in case you've never used it! I even spent some time that day with Dr. Gilberts, for some botox! Hey, I can admit it! :) For those of you that are interested in Botox, but hve never had it, maybe due to the concern of the injection hurting... I can assure you, in some events you wont even FEEL the very tiny gauge needle, and they can also use a numbing cream, (not that you really even need it!) and then you feel nothing! Seriously -- it IS that easy! And that FAST! Its over in less than a moments time. TWO things that I would especially like to highlight here are: 1) you cant beat their PRICES, PACKAGES OR PROMOTIONS! Period! 2) I have to say that I've been especially appreciative of how each treatments &/or appointment that I've had, the skincare professional (i.e. Dr. Gilberts, Kelli) has been very comprehensive & thorough in the course of the consultation/appointment, and they initiate a detailed discussion of their analysis of my skin, each & every time, as well as making sure to answer any questions &/or concerns I might have. All their skin care services are customized for each individual person's skin type & specific needs. I read their mission statement one time while in their office ("With a passion for quality, service & innovation, we are committed to exceeding the expectations of our clients.") and I cannot tell you how very true that is!! They have far exceeded my expectations... quite truthfully, I've felt almost like 'royalty' each time I've been there! This was my first time at Sunset Med Spa and I LOVED it. I received laser hair removal - which I have done in the past - and it's always a bit unpleasant. Rahda was amazing! Not unpleasant at all. She was extremely knowledgeable and professional, really knew the ins and outs of laser hair removal. I felt comfortable and relaxed and the style of laser hair removal - constant motion - hardly felt a thing. I bought a groupon for 6 sessions for $129 for my armpits. First of all I had to wait at least 2 months for my first appointment because they said they were too buy with other customers. When I finally got in they were not very social and it was get in and get out as fast as you can process. Their service is not personalized and they didn't spend much time with me. After 6 sessions my armpits are still not finished. I still have a lot of hair that can be seen and they are trying to charge me an additional $50 per visit after the last session. I think they provided horrible service with no seen results. And also there were 3 technicians that took turns working on me and wasn't sure what the last person did. Overall I am not pleased or satisfied with the service that I recieved and will recommend to watch out and save your money. It's a rip off! Do not got to Sunset MedSpa! read more

I've been meaning to leave a review for a long time. Very nice staff, but huge waste of money. I paid $600 for laser hair removal and honestly couldn't tell even the slightest difference once it was done. And I was told I was an "ideal candidate" for the removal. I have lighter skin with dark hair. I think their technology is just very outdated. Find somewhere more current. Oh, and my brother in law had his back done for $800 and also noticed absolutely no difference after all of his sessions either. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had with any company. I have never written a Yelp review before, but I felt the need to warn people about how awful this place is. I bought a package for brazillian laser hair removal in August, and then scheduled my first appointment a few weeks later. I was disgusted with the entire experience, and left in the middle. It wasn't clean, the technician wasn't professional, and I had to wait over an hour for someone to see me even though I had an appointment. I ended up speaking with the owner and demanding a refund, to which she eventually agreed. This was about 3 months ago, and I haven't seen my money yet. I have been calling once a week and speaking to the generally helpful managers, but the owner is just blatantly ignoring me. Horrible establishment with horrible management. read more

We have all heard the stories, right? I have found that perfect place at Sunset MedSpa. They have an actual PHYSICIAN and use the LATEST TECHNOLOGY. The owner, Doctor Gilberts, has a long ESTABLISHED medical practice in the same building as the MedSpa. His staff is KNOWLEDGEABLE, COURTEOUS, and PROFESSIONAL. I have had their laser hair removal, microdermabrasion, several facials, and recently had Venus Freeze treatment for increased collagen and fat reduction on my stomach. I won't go anywhere else for these types of treatments, no matter what the special offer someone else has. They aren't one of those dime a dozen "retail chains" out to pressure you into buying services you dont need, or even worse, hurting you. Their prices are competitive and even have offers on Groupon now and then. read more

They double book their schedule on purpose and tell you they are sorry but you have to skip appointments because they have nothing available!I have reported this business to both Groupon and Living Social. Not sure what it is called, but had my face, neck & back gone over to get rid of red skin tags and other markings. There was very few little poke like feelings. The ladies were super nice & professional . I liked it enough I already went back to get some Botox done, above my eye brows. I did feel like I got 1 good size shot above each eye brow. I bought a groupon for laser hair removal and was extremely excited It is an hour away from my house but I though it was worth it. The girl that initially did the laser was very sweet but kept burning me =(. I was willing to look past this since she was very comforting. By the 3rd time I had a different lady and she was not so nice. She was very arrogant and spoke badly of the other girls. The receptionist was never nice. I was running late and she said after 5 min she would not accept me. I showed anyways and they very very rude and glared the whole time. I also had to cancel due to being out of town and forgetting. They said this was fine and to reschedule when I was back in town. By the end of my groupon I was not able to use all 6 of them due to having to reschedule. They do not tell you everything up front and are very rude besides the younger esthitician. I do not recommend them and they do not have very good customer service. read more

I agree with other customer. I was called to change an appointment I made 6 weeks in advance. They said the girl was in accident then said that I was double booked (really 6 weeks in advance) I told the girl that I could not change and she said OK. I was sent a text twice on appointment day saying I had the appt at 1:30. One text was sent while in office being told the room was being used and I needed to wait an hour. I also think this has to do with Groupon. I will never spend money here again and make sure to tell anyone that I can not to bother. I've been having laser hair removal treatments for a while now. The results haven't been quite what I hoped for but there has been a hair reduction (they said it's because the red in my hair reflects the laser light so it's not as effective). The girls are kind and make you comfortable in what is an otherwise somewhat awkward and vulnerable situation. Things are clean. Scheduling can be a bit of a pain, but I also have only a limited frame I can schedule in. read more
