If I could give this place a zero review, I would these people did a recall on my airbag of my Chevy Silverado and ever since then I've been having a check airbag light on and off periodically. I scheduled an appointment to have it checked out the woman on the phone never mentioned paying to have a diagnostic check on the airbag. They previously serviced came out early this morning and was told there's a strong chance they be would charge me $250 to have my airbag light checked out. I will never come to this place again! Good job Chevy. This is how you loose clients and customers this is why all these corporations are falling GREED! People are finding other ways.

The Service Department is horrible. This is the third time I brought my vehicles for an oil change just to come home a couple hours later to find oil all over my drive way. This last time I was lucky that my oil plug did not fall off on the freeway.

    Crack and lifted panel.

Dropped off Tahoe with an agent in service department for a recall airbag replacement. Part of protocol is to inspect dash for damage. The agent and I sit in the vehicle and visually inspect dash for no damage. If it was damaged, I assume they would document that. "Tim" the service manager stated there are no notes (and they only inspect the 1 inch around the airbag) So, no damage? More on that later. I return to speak to Service Manager once i discovered it and showed him the shoddy workmanship, significant crack in the dash, plastic parts with broken tabs ,broken plastic parts found on floorboard. He says a dash overlay is the only option, provided a quote for almost $900 assuming we call and schedule at no cost. Also that he can have the broken panels parts plastic welded. I call back a couple months later to schedule. Agent says I'm responsible for the cost of dash but only because I asked. Transfers me to Tim. Tim tells me Tahoes in the South and Internet says it's a common thing to get cracks in the dash, not their problem, took zero responsibility. I'm not in the South and neither has this truck and I don't believe everything on the Internet. Usually I move on and learn my lesson but fiance, mother and sister all purchased vehicles from and USED to get service from there. As I searched for alternative service departments I stumbled upon these relatable reviews here on yelp. When I think of customer service and quality of work issues at any company I look for trends. This service dept is trending down. Not going to return for a 4th time to try to fix the rear defrost cable hanging there either. Our vehicles have been in and out of this service department and have not had luck with quality of work. Fewer radio commercials and more service tech training?

    Key Fob

Last week I had some dealership service performed on my Chevrolet. I brought in a spare OEM key fob and asked if they would program it to my vehicle while it was there. Service advisor Chelsea Garrett informed me that since it was not in my appointment notes I would need a separate appointment. I presented the OEM key fob, she quoted me $40 to have it programmed. Today at my scheduled follow-up appointment I was informed it would be $197 plus tax to program the same key fob. This is a 500% increase over my quote. They now say it's because I didn't purchase the key fob from this dealership. This is nothing new as I had the key fob at my original appointment and they examined it. I like getting all my vehicle service done at the Chevy dealership, but was disappointed with this bait and switch tactic to up-charge me by 500%.

    Waiting for service to finish

I had a fantastic experience with true customer service! The ordeal was not pleasant, key fob issues with programming, however the customer service with Jake Bohran was exceptional! He kept me updated the entire time from texts to in person as I waited in the waiting area. Today he sent me off in a loaner due to the length it was taking, a nice loaner a 2020 Chevy Equinox with a full tank. It was refreshing to have such genuine care about what I was going through. And Jake had spoken to his manager from my first key fob replacement and his manager authorized this new key, blade and programming to be complimentary. I really want to thank Sunset Chevy of Sumner for the gift and exceptional care and service, especially to Jake! Highly recommend their services.

Definitely won't be buying here!…read more I sent in a simple email inquiry on a vehicle I'm interested in and they blew it. I should mention I worked in the car business for nearly 7 years (I worked my up from Sales, to Internet Sales, to Internet Manager and Finance Manager), so I've seen my fair share. In an industry with a lot of awful sales people and managers, there is a bad reputation for being ripped off, lied to, manipulated, etc. and this is one example why. My initial experience I had with Jose A. (the person who answered my email inquiry about a specific vehicle) was pathetic. I sent in an inquiry through their website and stated that I didn't want to provide my number (because we all know sales people need to have a customers number so they can call them a million times). I mentioned this in my initial email, only to get a poorly written auto response to which I responded again that I didn't want to provide my phone number and was simply looking for the price on a vehicle. Easiest way to lose a customer is to be difficult and not to give them the information they request. The next email I got back was simply, "call me 425-xxx-xxxx." Hmmmm, no thank you! I have a simple question, answer it and then we can chat. I'm well aware of the tricks of the trade, and there was a reason I was consistently in the top sales position. I was successful and had happy customers because I listened to them, respected their boundaries and worked with them. It's not that hard to give a customer a good experience. This guy is one of the reasons that sales people have a bad reputation. Mind you, I have been looking for a VERY specific car for 3-4 months now and they have it. Had they treated me with a little more respect and attention, they likely would have earned my business by the end of the weekend. I'd rather wait another 3-4 months or buy out of state if need be. I won't be going to Sunset Trucks and I suggest you put your guards up if you want to shop here.

I went to purchase 350z 2006 convertible from this place and boy it was the most terrible choice I…read morehave made. Let me start off with this. Everyone that I have talk to (sales dudes) "Oh yea it is nice car it has nishi wheels which is 3000 dollars (I researched it it was 150 per wheel..) it is very nice car and the top works fine" However the convertible top was not working, visor was broken and the wheels were 600 from internet not 3000. Second, once you do not have any money as down payment you would not get any type of deals unless you start flashing some stacks of your hard earned money. The 350z that they were offering was 15800 plus tax, which is close to 17300 I have put down 3000 dollars which it brings it down to 14300. After they have agreed upon that price, then you now have to go through the finance manager (his name was Matt Vuchetich). Matt seemed nice guy until he start playing with numbers. He has stated to both my wife and I that it would be hard to get a car loan through any bank with only 14800 dollars amount. So he suggested to get warranty that can fix any electronic problems....after 30 minutes of him pushing he has stated "Well the car is 10 years old I would hate to see you guys leave this place and have problems afterwards....I have agreed but it did occur to me...didnt they told me the car is in good shape? Beside the broken visor and convertible top? I was feeling bit uncomfortable however my wife who was in need of car and wanting to get this 350z it was her dream to drive this vehicle... We left the place with all the documents signed. After that Matt who initally have informed us with our credit he can do 10% APR has dropped some where down to 3.5 or 4.5% Again perhaps due to my 3000 dollar payment and top of that selling me 4 years warranty the company has made their money enough for me to drop the APR down. Due to the top being fixed we didnt get the car until a week later...when we finally got the car, yup the top was all fixed but the top had a hole... *sigh* I was beyond pissed.... Third, we had problem on tire sensor and also the stereo...after 16 days. Obviously this is the future of what Matt have stated...electronic problems...but this is when it gets interesting. When my wife went to the service department to get it fixed, they charged her 136 dollars for diagnose and told her that these are not covered under the warranty. WTF?!?!?! Ladies and Gents...I believe as middle class, we work 50-80 hours a week and when you finally have earned your blood sweating money to purchase your dream car....you have these unethical business minded people who do not give a crap of your time and money. They squeeze, deceive and convince you to spend as much as you can and promise everything. However when the time comes they do not take care of you. Please do your self a favor and do not purchase ANY WARRANTY! Salesmen are your first round to fight with price negotiation afterwards you have to do another round with Matt the finance guy. I was informed by my friend who is the GM over at Doug's Hyundai and after I have told him everything, he said I can take this to attorney and go through all the papers and can make this in to my favors. I have all the records and datas that I can leverage on and I plan to take action. I hope everyone can purchase dream car and not experience what I have gone through.

They came to Sunset Ford and told them what was going on and Sunset Ford told Raidon Honda the issue was likely the ABS module. So we bring the car to Sunset for diagnostics and their response is nobody knows how to bleed the brakes properly and they believe a system flush(which was done before being brought into Honda and Honda did it as well), and they want diagnostic fees for us to get our car, or they want to to flush the system and 500 to a grand. Replace the master cylinder which has already been done, and then flush the system again for another couple thousand. Then more steps to do things that have NOTHING to do with brakes going to the floor. They admitted what the issue was to Honda and they are trying get another 7 to 8 grand because the warranty wont cover redoing work. Which rightly so. They are scamming a disabled veteran. This is a KNOWN issue with Ford TSB, they excuse is well the NHTSA orders to resolve the issue for free and replace the booster and abs module expired in November of 2025 so therefore that cant be the issue. That 2 ASE certified master techs at another location, Honda Rairdon techs, and myself and my son who have been working on cars for years until we moved where we cant even add windshield washer fluid all agree the brakes were bled properly. James was a very nice guy, listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions to the best of my ability. I texted Denis at 12:06 on Tuesday, the 23rd, then called and got his voicemail. I called the dealership, was transferred and he answered right away. His happy greeting quickly changed. He told me that him and James had not spoken so I relayed my findings to him, he said he will have a mechanic look at it and call me back in 20 minutes or so with some sort of update. I texted him again at 3:30 Tuesday to ask when I might expect to hear from him again in regards to the truck. I was told "hopefully sometime tomorrow morning" I texted Denis again Wednesday, 24th at 11:54 asking if he had heard anything. He calls back and says yes, the leak I had spotted was an oil gasket which was replaced but the truck had sold in the meantime. The communication here sucks.
