I came here the day of a formal event and chose to get a spray tan in the Versa spray tan booth after researching tanning salons. I hadn't had a spray tan in a long time and the woman at the front desk was so helpful! She explained the procedure to me, what she recommended as far as the type of tan and how dark I wanted to be, and even did extra research to check if there were any deals she could offer me to save me money. She was very patient with my questions and while she suggested items behind the counter that I could buy, I didn't feel pressured to purchase anything. I purchased the primer lotion (~$6) per recommendation, simply because my short amount of time left no room for streaky errors. I did not end up with a streaky tan, as promised! While I only saw the front half of the store and the spray tan room, it was clean and organized. There are small towels to use in the spray tan room and they supply barrier cream. I can't speak for the UV tanning booths, but I'm happy with my spray tan booth experience! read more

I'm well aware of the fact that tanning is really bad for you. I mean, it just is... there's no denying that. Science fact! That said, sometimes, in very small doses, it can be useful/beneficial. Take these two hypotheticals, for instance: 1. You live in a geography where Winter's bitter grasp is enough to drive one to the edge of madness. In theory, one could turn vampiric from lack of sunlight/Vitamin D exposure. (Gumming those gummy vites full of D is no substitute, either... you can feel the vampiricism take hold each time you emerge from your cave, your eyes less and less able to adjust to the Sun's foreign glow.) Truth be told, you find your body more and more in need of this warming light that Winter has been kind enough to bestow upon you in measured amounts. Be thankful. 2. You live in a geography where Winter's bitter grasp is enough to drive one to the edge of madness, so you book a trip to the Equator in an effort to overcompensate and abscond from your bleak and dreary reality. Then, you realize that your naturally olive complexion has not only lost its luster, you're actually looking a little translucent. The sun in this new reality will not relent; it's the exact and extreme opposite of what you've experienced the last bazillion months... so you must prepare. Think of it this way: slow cooking produces a tastier, juicier, and healthier roasted chicken than blasting that same raw, pinkish meat with high heat more quickly. See where I'm going with this? Yes, I went tanning. So sue me! The older I get, the less tolerant my skin is to the sun in the short-term/immediate. You gotta build that noise up, you know? And with an upcoming trip to Costa Rica scheduled, it just makes sense that I prep my dermis for the impending shock. So post-intern meeting yesterday I pulled my Mazda over and parked that noise right in front of Sun Seekers on Prospect. (I even parallel parked on the left side of the street like a boss!) The attendant/receptionist/college-aged dude at the front counter was super nice, very helpful, and full of info. He helped me pick the right level tanning bed, helped me talk through timing, and was generally super nice and on his game. I opted for a level 3 stand up for just 8 minutes given my winter white skin which ended up being perfect... any longer would've been a mistake. Twelve bucks for eight minutes and I left feeling energized, my skin warm and at least one round prepped for what's sure to be the intense Costa Rican sun. The spot is clean and it's conveniently located just two doors down for American Apparel (not that I really go there, it's just a point of reference) so for East Siders, this is your spot if you're looking. They rock packages which might be a nice option to purchase at the beginning of winter and space out throughout the harsh reality of December-March. Too much tanning = bad, remember? That said, i could see having, like, 8 sessions that one might want to use sporadically to combat the winter blahs. To summate: clean, well-organized, convenient, a nice staff, and a solid option if you're opting to fake bake/get a spray tan, whatever the reason. Will return once more before I leave! read more

I saw this place didnt have many positive reviews so i thought i would throw one on their yelp page. Sunseekers by Rosie has amazing student discount deals, the one i took advantage of was unlimited tan sessions levels 1-6 for $25 a month. The girls who work here are friendly, helpful and laid back and I definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking to build a base tan before vacation or just to get some extra UV time. read more

I have a spray tan membership that I use at the Shorewood location... I showed up at 10:30 to use it today and the doors were locked. I called the Green Bay location to see what was going on and was told whoever was supposed to open didn't show up and the manager was being notified. I then attempted to go to the Prospect location and drove around for 20 minutes looking for parking without success. By now it was after 11am so I decided to head back to Shorewood to see if anyone was there yet. NOPE! This is incredibly frustrating and inconvenient. I have an event I wanted to be tan for and now that's not happening. What is being done to keep this from happening in the future? I am definitely rethinking my membership! read more

The $25 student deal is awesome. Beds are nice, lotion selection is good. I usually have a great visit at the prospect location but today was not. I went to the Shorewood location that I've never been. The girl working was not friendly - didn't say hi or bye and didn't help me when I was trying to figure out how long / which bed to go in. This tanning place charges very high based on the low quality of the place. First of all, the beds make loud, scary noises. Secondly, there's no single day trials, so you have to get the membership which means you have to also buy a lotion along with the membership. Lastly, the cancellation process is a huge mess in which you will probably get charged trying to cancel your membership. Overall, they over price and attempt to take every penny they can get. read more

Convenient. Lots of beds - so you rarely have to wait. This place is always clean - and the staff is courteous. Prices are OK.. maybe on the pricey side... I'm no tanning maniac, but for the occasional tanner - this place is perfect. read more

Update. Finally made it in to their location, even though I am on a heart pump awaiting a transplant. It gets more ludicrous. They gave e a piece of paper with a number I have to phone to complete the cancellation process. All of this morning got have been done by phone or fax. Incredibly poor customer service. On top of which, the form they gave me says that the fee for freezing an account is 5.00 a month. Upon investigation, they have been charging me 7.00, for how low my I don't know, because it was as automatically charged to a card. Better Business Bureau will be hearing from me. read more

I am so disappointed with sunseekers, some of the ladies were awesome! I came into salon to cancel my membership, they stated I had he student package and had to be apart of it for so long. I told them after this is withdrawn from my account to cancel my membership. They never canceled it, I called the woman on the phone named Jolene said me coming into the store was not good enough to cancel as I have to sign a form. I was never told this when I was in the store. She continued to tell me my membership will continue until I come in and sign a form and followed that by laughing... are kidding me? Most of the times I had great customer service but the staff was friendly but today was awful. I go to the store and I ask if I need to actually print off the coupons and this was my response "Well, why would you need to print it off? we always have that deal" (I don't know maybe because the website states print it off) She was very snotty with her reply. I was able to tan because they informed me that I had a $250 balance on my account, not sure how that possible because I did cancel. I did now email them with screenshots of phone calls made to the store. I was told the only they could do is, either I pay the $250 or buy $250 in products and then they will wipe out the balance. I cant imagine ill get a good response from them but I can tell you that I defiantly will not be going back. If I could give them 0 stars I would. They have horrible customer service. read more

In the beginning I thought she was just having an off day but, I come here often enough that I need to say something. The woman that is usually almost always there mornings/afternoons has terrible costumer service. I don't know her name but she has darker hair. When I walk in she acts as if I'm an inconvenience, barely says hello, and sometimes doesn't even tell me what bed to go into. Also many times there haven't been any clean towels while she's just sitting there on her phone. Its gross when I have to put on my clothes after being hot and sweaty in the bed because I don't have a towel to wipe off. It's very frustrating because I love this tanning place & it's conveniently close to my house, but she does not do a good job at making the costumers feel welcome. I get that it's a short interaction but she should be trained to not have such a RBF and be a little kinder to her costumers. read more

NEVER sign a contract with them. They did not explain all of the hidden fees when I signed up. Maybe the girl didn't care and just wanted the sale. There is a charge to put your account on hold and freeze it. Also, if you forget to tell them to freeze or cancel your account, they keep charging you! And, once you do cancel you now have a balance you are required to pay! I haven't been in 3 months and now I owe them money. Awful hidden fees everywhere! Don't do it! read more

One person told me something completely different than the next person I talked to, so I ended up getting charged double of what I was told I would be charged! Misinformation, hidden fees, expensive! This place is awesome. For a first-time tanner, I was really nervous about burning for my wedding. But Jen was super helpful and walked me through everything that I needed to know. Long time member, I have meet numerous beautiful attendants staffing location. No real problems that were not fixed quickly. Sometime bathroom light blub need changing. I actually love the tanning bed in room #1. And the room way towards the back are places "things can get interesting, wink wink." Just done close your door all the way. Old mature man like I am is still ready when a eighteen year old student needs advice. read more

I would not recommend Rosie's for airbrush tans. The room that they do the spray in was not very well lit and there were a lot of splotches in my tan. There was no chair to sit in to put the tan block on my feet or a place to hang my clothes. There was not enough of the block in the bottle in the room and the person that did the spray did not seem concerned about that. After having a much better experience at Indulge on Silvery Spring, I know that I will not return to Rosie's. read more

Wish I would have read all of these negative reviews prior to getting sucked into this 'contract'. Like many of the other reviews stated, your told something different by each girl depending on when you go in. I had originally signed up with them and brought someone else with me. The did not do anything for my referral which is fine and not expected. However the girl working the desk mentioned that we would need to come into the store to cancel before our month ended. Once I returned from vacation I saw my account was hit with another month fee. After calling customer service (who can never seem to answer) I left a message. I never heard back even though I left all of my information. After calling multiple days in a row, I finally got a hold of someone. She told me there is nothing she can do, cant even extend the membership i have never used this month...and told me I should have read the contract. Apparently she was the manager and there was no one else I could talk to. I asked to speak with the owner and she said that was not an option. Then I asked what she could do for me to make up this inconvenience to which she replied I can pass the word along...how does that help. After continuing to question she said and I quote "I am about 2 seconds away from banning you as a customer" In which I replied, not like I am ever going to come back and then she just hung up.... Do NOT sign up for a membership unless you are 100% committed. You can cancel your membership within 11 days of signing up but you will still be charged for the entire membership that you signed up for. They also only offer 3 month or 6 month membership. I LOVE SUNSEEKERS! I've been going to Sunseekers for years and is the best ever tanning experience. I love having the options on memberships with super decent pricing. You definitely get a quality product and great service-- I've tried spray tans and regular tanning and love them both. Very clean, spacious rooms, and you are quick in and out. I've been to other tanning salons in the area and you cannot compare. Lots of membership options and the staff are always super friendly and helpful. read more

Honestly this company has the WORST philosophy on customer service. Not only do their policies inconvenience the customer, but their lack of customer care is evident in their associates' attitudes as well. They force you to sign contracts, then the cancellation process is a nightmare. If you ask an associate how to cancel, she will likely give you a completely different response than the next girl you ask. I was told I could cancel anytime, but then when I actually tried to cancel was told I had to mail it in. The reasoning they gave me was that if I were to just tell them, or hand them my cancellation notice "well we would hate for you to give us the envelope and we lose it, because then you would have to pay for another month. So to make it easier we just have you mail it in. Oh and make sure you get it in by tomorrow, otherwise you will get charged another month". There have been several other instances where I'm told one thing by one associate, then something completely different by another. And these discrepancies of giving misinformation range from the lotions they sell, to the packages they do or don't offer, to the extra fees you need to pay, to the timing between each tanning session, to placing your membership on hold, and to the cancellation policy. Everything about this place is inconvenient and customers are completely disregarded. Try one of the other tanning salons in the area that provide MUCH BETTER SERVICE without forcing you sign a contract with hidden fees and ridiculous cancellation policies and with comparable beds. I will never return to this tanning salon again. I requested a 1-month tanning promo which my husband and I had participated in with Sun Seekers the year prior. The service rep who I paid told me this is what I was receiving and this is also what my receipt reflected, however, instead I was enrolled in a membership program which has not been easy to automatically cancel (they bill you until the 15th of the following month) and you have to fill out a sheet and mail the hard copy to their Sturgeon Bay, WI office. Why can't you cancel with the salon where you initially paid? Also, a contract with my signature was produced by the salon when I went back to complain about this contract not being what I had paid for or requested, and it looked like my signature had been scanned onto this new document, because at the bottom of it there is a signature box, but my signature was below it? I don't remember this contract and it includes terms and a price that are not even matching what I had paid and does not match the amount billed on my bank statements, so this is all very shady! I have been to many other tanning salons in Waukesha, Brookfield, and throughout Milwaukee and never had an experience like this in my past. I would definitely not recommend this salon to any one because in addition to these payment and contract issues, the customer service was sub par. Many of the high-school aged service personnel have let their friends go in front of clients whom they do not know, and this is both rude and highly unprofessional as well as irritating for those customers who then need to wait longer because they do not know the service personnel behind the counter. Service should be first-come. first-serve based on particular bed availability pertaining to one's package not based on who knows those working behind the salon counter that day. read more
