Been signing up to tan the last several years before our southern vacation. Julie is absolutely amazing she always welcomes you with a smile. Julie points out what the specials are and explains the difference in tanning packages. The place is always clean. If I ever owned a business Julie would be a person I would want to work for me. I have been a customer of LA Tan in St Francis for many years. The customer service is always excellent. They are very helpful in recommending lotions and promotional upgrades included in my memberships. They have never push hard sales on me but always make me aware of deals that I might enjoy. The girls there sit on the couch and watch TV and when you come in they get annoyed that you're there because they have to get up. The beds are not clean at all I've never seen them clean them once in 2 months. Then they accuse me of making the bed smell when it smelled in the first place when I came in. I got jock itch a week after I started tanning there.I would not spend another Penny there. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

Last Week I posted a review regarding price increase at St. Francis location. Would like to update. La Tan reached out to me personally via phone call to discuss the pricing. And issue was resolved. Mind you this is the 3rd time they have personally reached out to resolve 2 prior situations 1 beyond their control. And offered to give me a future discount which they didn't have to. I declined but very appreciative they offered to keep a long term loyal customer. And the fact they reached out personally verses thru email meant alot considering most companies is usually automated systems. Thank You LA Tan for going above to keep your long term loyal customers and new ones a priority and the personal communications. read more

This place is filthy. A roach ran over my leg as I was tanning and my card was used without my consent. Sun City gives you a better bang for your buck and is clean with pleasant help. L.A Tan are scam artists because it is the only way they make money. Stir clear of this mess of a business,it should have closed long ago. read more

Alex, the "manager, has horrible customer service. I asked for a refund because the options were not clearly explained to me and I felt scammed. The conversation that we did have was hard to understand because there was a lady on speaker phone talking at the desk the whole time over our conversation. Not once did the "manager" ask her to take her conversation somewhere else. I believe I was FRAUDULENTLY charged and I want my refund. Also, the one session I had the floors in the tanning booth were gross. There was dirt, and hair everywhere. I am beyond dissatisfied with this business. Wonderful new employees and management really turned this salon into the perfect spot where i can tan close to home! Lotion section is a little pricey but when it comes to skin care and i'm willing to pay a bit more to get a quality product. overall best place to tan!!! read more

I specifically made a yelp account so I could write a review about this place. I love LA TAN in cudahy. All of the staff is extremely helpful. Girl with the blue & blonde hair on thursdays, she is the sweetest person ever. So down to earth. Always makes conversation, cares about her customers. She seriously rocks. I can't stress this enough. She is the reason I went online to write a review. SHE NEEDS A RAISE. Also, the manager (I believe?). Brown long hair with awesome makeup. I was here the other day and greeted by a sweet little blondie with all these cleaning products in her hand breaking a sweat, I automatically think to myself 5 star this place is going to be clean. I was kinda in a rush but decided to stop in to check out the deals they have here. She started talking to me about all the memberships and showing me all the different type of beds that they have here and then a man comes out of one of the tanning beds extremely upset with her because the bed he wanted was not working. She tried so hard to fix it from running up to the front desk to the back of the salon, turning machines off and even calling her manager (which the manager didn't answer her phone call) she then offered him a different bed and kept apologizing to him. I didn't end up getting a membership because i was on a time crunch and she already had a line going. She kept apologizing to everyone and me, i felt so bad for her :( she did handle it well and with professionalism! She's so sweet!! I will be back! :) read more

Worst customer service I have experienced. Talking about co-workers, swearing, eating. Salon is dirty. Doesn't explain to you on how beds or the spray tan machine works. Just rude to the customers who walk in. The manager has no customer service skills or makes the effort to show the customer that she is appreciative that there are customers in the first place. And her makeup is oft putting. The young man who also works there swears A LOT. Very inappropriate. And both are on their phones gossiping. Until the company changes employees I refuse to go in there, even though its just a few minutes drive from my house. read more

I usually don't take the time to write reviews, but I feel it is absolutely necessary to write a review for this horrible business that employs incompetent workers. Thankfully, I only had a "trial" membership, which gave me a very good sense about why I should not make a long time commitment to this place. The workers are extremely rude, take forever, the computers freeze up, the employees forget about you after making you wait 10 minutes for a bed... needless to say, what should take 1 minute to get into a bed takes literally 15 minutes EVERY time I went in. Do yourself a favor, and do not waste your time with this pathetic place. read more

First, let me start out by saying I have never written a review - however, this needs to be put out in the open. Honestly such a horrible tanning salon. They have no sense of how to treat their PAYING customers. Every time I would go in to tan never once was I greeted with a welcome but instead "what do u wanna do today." Very blunt and HORRIBLE customer service. There were times where I would leave and they wouldn't even thank me or say goodbye - it was the weirdest thing, I've never ever been to a tanning salon that didn't thank their customers or at least say "bye have a good day!" ... Thought that was customer service 101?... I should've stopped tanning here a long time ago, however the location is so conveniently close to home. What finally was the last straw was just today when the girl behind the counter was nasty to me right when I stepped through the door and had an instant attitude problem which I decided to let slide.. (Maybe she's having a bad day, idk?) finally got into the tanning bed and am ready to lay down and notice the bed is filthy... I can see sweat all over the bed so I had to get dressed go back to the desk and tell the employee that the bed was dirty and asked for a clean bed. The employee did not ONCE apologize for the inconvenience, actually she didn't say ANYTHING to me except "go to bed 15." I was shocked. I have never experienced such horrible customer service. I go to the next bed, and that one has sweat all over the bed as well. I walked up to the counter and asked to cancel my membership because at this point I was beyond fed up. The employee then did not ask any questions just said "ok" (completely could care less that I was extremely frustrated and about to cancel my TWO tanning packages). She was so incredibly rude it was honestly shocking. I finished cancelling my membership and left. I will NEVER go back to this tanning salon - I would rather drive 15 minutes to a different salon that treats their customers right. read more

I have been using this tanning location about twelve years. I only tan before I go on vacation. I went in to tan today they told me that I didn't have any credits left because they cancel them after a year. I was there early 2016 to tan and had credits left to use. Why would they cancel them ?. I talked to the manager she said there wasn't anything she do about it . That is very bad business. Would not advise anyone to use la tan again. They have a bad business attitude. Talked to a lady while I was there she said that happened to her mother also. read more

My girlfriend and I bought a special package during customer appreciation day. Only $3 for each of us for a spray tan of any shade. Unfortunately when we got into the machine it wasn't working. The girl tried everything to get it working. She called the closest L.A Tan (the one this review is pertaining to) and couldn't get an answer. She sent us in that direction since it appeared their phone wasn't working. When we arrived we were told it would be a 15 min wait. That wait turned into 45 mins. The girl at the counter was very friendly. Her manager arrived and helped for about 5 mins at the desk then decided she needed to tan. The poor girl was left trying to do everything herself. When we finally made it to the room the machine was malfunctioning. After resetting the machine 3 different times she decided to get the manager but the manager didn't want to be disturbed while tanning so we waited in the room while the machine was spraying air for 10 mins until the manager could look at it. The first thing the manager says to us is, "You broke my machine". My girlfriend and I just brushed it off but were seriously irritated by her attitude and sharp comment. She worked a few things out then got the machine to work. She said to me that I couldn't go back into the room with my girlfriend because I probably broke it! What the hell? I was pissed at that point. We waited over an hour at that location and a total of 2.5 hrs trying to get our tan. Now she's blaming me and not apologetic at all for our inconvenience. The worker wanted to give us a free tan next time but manager woundnt do it. We left saying thanks. We will never go to that location again! If you choose to go to this location watch out for the short blonde manager. You can't miss her she has her makeup caked on and looks like she is getting ready for the circus. read more
