Truly the worst experience I have ever had with any contractor, anywhere in my entire life. I entered into a contract with Sunscape on 4/4/2024 agreeing to a 12 to 16 week schedule. Almost 1 year later we are still not complete and it is clear they have abandoned the job. Enough said. I do have one question for Robert however, humbly speaking if you read the reviews then how is it possible that somehow you received 5 star service? What are the chances you are the one customer that is satisfied in the past year? If I could give zero I would. Judging from the other reviews, I'm not the only one being swindled. Jay promised the moon and delivered a shart in a bucket. 12-16 weeks was the timeline given. 8 months of me literally prodding, begging, calling, emailing, texting every single day to get it done. I had 8 weeks straight where not one single person showed up. They blame it on their subcontractors and never take any personal accountability. Poor Jenny in the office is the brunt of all bad calls because god forbid Jay ever answered a call or email. Did I mention we also received a legal notice for a lien on our house due to nonpayment to one of these subcontractors? No hesitation whatsoever taking our money but clearly doesn't pay his own bills. Our pool has been "done" for 2 months but still has missing tiles, dirty grout lines and concrete all over the back of our house. Save your money and save your time. From start to UNFINISHED this has been a nightmare. Promises the world and delivers NOTHING. Started in May still no where near finished but promised finished mid to late august. Latest Labor Day. Then by the end of September second week in October worst case scenario. Still not finished. Decking pavers chipped, loose, uneven. Now I'm sure he's going to use that as an excuse not to meet his latest deadline.... First week in November.... SAVE YOURSELF STAY AWAY.... Do not use Sunscape Pools. Owner lies every time I've talked with him. He ran out of money and isn't paying vendors. Customers are getting lien notices and having to pay since Jay can't pay the bills. My pool project was supposed to be completed in May 2024. Last fall I had to pay the cage company directly because he could not pay them, they stopped working with him. read more

BEWARE!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU! If I could give this company a negative 10 stars I would! WORST pool company in the area. To warn others, I have been in contract and building my pool since June 11th and I am still sitting with a shell. Pool company owner told me originally 14-16 weeks for completion and there are weeks that go by with no work being done and my neighbors are getting their pools built in 3 months. The things on my pool that have been missed like the skimmer, the decking bonding wire, the auto fill, and the arc descents that the pavers are now ripped up because of are beyond unacceptable. This pool owners incompetency and lack of knowledge are beyond one person can handle. Until last week, I never had a project manager on site and the items that were missed because of the lack of knowledge from the owner are too much to handle and these are just a 'few' of the issues I am having. Not to mention, I have given this company over $95k and am dealing with nothing but issues! Several local residents that I have spoken to are also having problems. Where do we start? Started this whole process early summer 6/2022. We contacted numerous companies that were booked like crazy so we found someone within the area that we somewhat new... he was a football coach within a league my kids used to be associated with. He is new to the business but we thought "hey why not, we know of him and let's give him our business!" Biggest mistake!! Upon first few meetings he explained pool process and the max time would be 9-12 weeks. Skip forward it's 5/2023 and still not complete. 11/7/22 dig started to take place..: we bought our house in 2019. We had no idea where power wires lye underground..: but what we do know is we had power lines to our dock in the backyard... this company cut our power lines to our dock.. which we had no idea where they laid in the yard. So now our dock has no power. They had THEIR electrician come in and charged us $875 to redo our power lines that they cut without our consent. (The owner of the company later told us they had no need to cut.. they could have just pulled it to the side) ... so the day the company came out to run the new wire to our dock was out here for maybe an hour. (Our kids were home schooled and watched... and we have cameras everywhere) So my husband comes home and walks to the dock... clicks the switch.:. NO POWER! Husband called Jay pool co owner and he send electrical co. owner out to our house. He states they rewired our HOT TUB!! Our hot tub is a stand alone hot tub bought about a year ago and had nothing to do with the power lines they cut!! WTF!!! Un-freaking believable!! So they come out again and supposedly fix the wiring situation... come to find out in our electrical box we had the hot tub to a 30amp breaker and the dock (only lights) to a 20 amp breaker. They completely took it upon themselves to switch the configuration. My hot tub was hooked to 20amp and dock lights hooked to 30amp. Days later we smelled a electrical burning smell... the GFI our hot tub was plugged too MELTED!! I am sooooo discombobulated trying to continue with this review. Let me not forget to mention each and every time these construction guys were here... not a single foreman or representative of this pool company to oversee any work/cleanup. I spent so much time walking through my yard picking up cans,bottles and lunch/snack garbage out of my yard. Seriously. So right around plaster day we came home to find one of our swings by our outdoor bar was broke and "tied" as if no one ever sat in it. This company refuses pay for replacement... our pools chlorinater is still not hooked up.. we were shown no way shape or form how to take care of our pool other than download the app and figure it out. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND... any questions feel free to ask. )and new decking paint chipping.. less than a month in.. they refuse to fix) Absolutely ridiculous... not to mention we had oruhired them to do an outdoor kitchen for us but maybe 8 weeks I won't all this garbage we decided to hire someone else!! Do not recommend. They only care if you owe money on the pool then once it's paid off and you have warranty work that should be covered under the first year they just blow you off. There are many other builders out there that will give you a nice product along with proper follow up. Word to the wise. Look elsewhere to spend your money and valuable time read more
