Everything is amazing. The restaurant is beautiful. The food is beyond good. We ordered a ton of different food because we aren't local to the area. Everything was delicious and all made to order. The cucumbers, egg tarts, and all the dumplings were some of my favorites. We will definitely be coming back here whenever we are in town! Also...the service and staff were great too!! read more

This place isn't the best for a sit-down eating space. It's built for more food pick-up type of things. Overall the food was okay. The dumplings had a really sticky and thick layer. But the inside flavor was good. The Cold noodles I got were bad, the flavor was okay at first but when I took my second bite, it was not good. My tongue felt weird and tingly (probably from the spices/sauce) but nevertheless it did not help me enjoy my meal at all. Overall, this place is okay. Exceptional food and delicious flavors! We ordered the beef and carrots dumplings and they were amazing. Juicy inside and delicious dough outside! Then my husband got the beef bowl and liked the sauce. I had the lamb skewers, which were phenomenal! The spice rub is flavorful and yummy. Loving the sumptuous dumplings and flavors to choose from there. Beef and carrots dumplings went well with scallions and garlic dipping sauce. The service is amazing and you order online. You schedule the pickup time and date, pay in advance. At the ghost kitchen--a food business without a place to sit down and be served inside. It is essentially food to go and sharing space for kitchen location. When you arrive at the building, you go inside and check in at the iPad. I had a perfect experience at Sun's Kitchen, the Ma-La Wontons and Dan Dan Noodles, both of which I ordered spicy, were so flavorful and unique. The taste of the Szechuan peppercorns was a highlight. The atmosphere is very simple, serene and bright; and staff were kind and friendly, service was fast and efficient, and the owner was interesting to speak to about the authenticity of the food. i'm so happy they finally got their own store! i ordered the beef noodle soup to go this time. they package their noodles and soup separately which I appreciate very much. i've tried multiple items from them before and they all taste really good and homey. personally would always recommend the beef noodle soup but i'm sure you won't go wrong with ordering anything on the menu! read more

This has got to be one of the best restaurants in Charlotte. All of the dishes we received were amazing. Think about the Ratatouille scene where all the colors and swirls, but if instead you were eating bao -- that's the experience I had eating here. SPIRITUAL! It was well worth the wait and the service was phenomenal. Not sure the guy's name, but he was very attentive and warm. Also, the atmosphere isn't what I thought it would be, but in a good way! It felt cozy, authentic, and not too uppity despite being in Charlotte... lol. I cannot wait to make this restaurant my entire personality for the next few months. Get the xiao long bao. I didn't want my experience to end , and I'm a little upset at myself for inhaling my food. Order: Dumpling flight : I need more! I can seriously eat 20 of these dumplings easily , they are that good. Fresh, soft, tasty, and the right portion of filling to wrapping . You really don't need the dipping sauce to enjoy these , but it's offered with your order. Lamb skewers: you can get this street food treat mild or spicy , I opted for spicy and I have no regrets . The lamb is tender and juicy, the portion size just right to satisfy your craving , this paired well with the other menu items . Tofu triangles : I don't know what Sun's kitchen added to one of my favorite Asian street foods , but I LOVE it !!! If you are a fan or not a fan , you should try this tofu , definitely don't pass up on these crispy tofu treats . I think I would've liked a dipping sauce to give it a slight edge , but they didn't need them . Strawberry, lemon, jasmine tea : This original drink was so refreshing and packed with all natural goodness. Unfortunately, I let my 6 year old taste it and he didn't give it back .... as a mom I'm all for him enjoying this in house family recipe of a unique green tea refresher . I enjoyed the concept of ordering ahead and my food prepared and waiting for pickup . The food traveled well and was still warm and delicious when I got home in Matthews. Arriving at 10:30 am from out of town I couldn't wait to try the dumpling flight. After we figured out the whole ghost concept thing we ordered garlic tofu noodles served cold. Then we ordered the dumpling flight. We ordered with the owner of the restaurant then grab a table in the adjoining room. Not much else to say other than food was delicious, we definitely would try more menu items next visit! Parking is free and plenty of spaces. Walk up the ramp and go in the door next to Wu Ron's to order from the iPad then they bring the food out to your party. They also deliver to seltzer brewery across the street if you going there. They open at 11am and there is a unisex bathroom next to the tables if you decide to eat there. Very happy to have eaten here yesterday. read more

This was our last night in Charlotte and we decided it was time to pack up for the trip home. We used Uber Eats for a delivery from Sun's. The food was OK, but really lacked a whole lot of taste. Panda Express does better. It could have been what we ordered. I can not remember exactly what it was and we threw a lot of it away. On this dreary February day it was a great decision to try the new braised beef noodle soup. We also added beef and carrot dumplings to our lunch order. It was perfect. I'm particular about food temps and if something is supposed to be served a certain way, that's how I want it. The soup was served with broth on the side so you can add when you get home. Was looking for dumplings and Sun's Kitchen came up on Yelp. Wow. This place is a gem and I am so glad they are in the neighborhood. We ordered a large dumpling flight (15 dumplings) that came with 5 different types of dumplings which were all delicious. I loved the hot and dry noodles. Even though they were really dry (which I liked) they still had tons of flavor. The star of the meal was the spicy garlic sauce we got with the dumplings. If you like spicy you must try! My mouth is still on fire but I loved every bite. This is a great option if you're hanging out at Lucky Dog or Summit Seltzer. Our order was ready very quickly and pricing is very reasonable too. Was pleasantly surprised to find a gem like this in Charlotte. I'm from the Bay Area, which is known for food like this. I ordered the lamb skewers (spicy duh) and tofu skewers: - spice mix tasted authentic and was flavorful - lamb was suuuuuper juicy - I do wish it was spicier. First time experiencing a ghost kitchen and what a cool concept! Ghost kitchens have been around for awhile but with everything going on with Covid I see this type of industry booming. For anyone like me that's new to a ghost kitchen, this type of restaurant does not offer any in person dining, the entire operation is contactless. I placed my order online through their website and paid at the end of placing my order. The other cool thing is you can select what day and time you would like to pickup your order and will text you when it's ready. They also offer delivery! Suns kitchen is located next to Luckydog. Whenever you walk in you see shelves against the wall where you will see your order if it's ready. If not, they have an open lobby where you can stand and wait. Decided to try their dumpling flight, broccoli skewers and mango tea. Our favorite dumplings were the beef and carrot, pork and chive and the vegan one. Be sure to get the spicy garlic dipping sauce, you could dip any dumpling or veggie in there, it was that good! Tea was very refreshing and the two flavors was a nice balanced. Let's me first say why haven't I tried this place sooner. Ordering online was a simple friendly easy process. Upon arrived at the scheduled time he came right out with need to checkin to say that I had arrived. The order was packed neatly, labeled and in well organized containers. Now onto the food. We started with the pork and chive dumpling with the cilantro and garlic dipping sauce. The dumpling was light and cooked to perfect as you did not have that starches taste that you fondest Dumplings. You can taste the difference and this was how made with attention to how its cooked. Now the Dan Dan Noodles @#&# , that broth tasted like it was cooked for days like it was cooked on light air. The noodles were cooked just right and light texture not that heavy like most. I swore I was eating chicken. That pork was cooked so darn good we were fighting over the last few bites. That is truly a winner and use try, that is a true signature dish. The drink Strawberry Lemon Jasmine it was so good I do t know what you say nut try it. You cam taste all the ingredients except for the sugar. We did door dash and they get stars due to presentation, sauces and quantity for price .. but for taste, i wasn't impressed ... im so use to store brought and other "unauthentic" restaurant quality wontons that unfortunately I can't appreciate the texture of the ones served here... they are too thick/ "flour-y"/ doughy for me... some people may like that and if so this is for you .. I can barely taste the meat in the wonton due to the thickness of the wonton wrapper... and the noodles were so thick .. I just cudnt.. the flavor was way off. read more
