On a random Sunday I decided to visit Liljenquist & Beckstead in Westfield Montgomery Mall with real hope. My mom has been buying jewelry from them for years and recommended the store to me back in 2020, so I knew the service would be excellent. I left impressed by the team and even more motivated to keep working toward my dream watch. I've been grinding for over 12 years. My partners and I recently launched our own business, and it has exceeded every expectation. This success has me ready to invest in a meaningful piece the Rolex GMT-Master II "Bruce Wayne" something I can wear every day as a reminder of the grind and eventually pass down to my kids as a family heirloom. Jeff Kaufmann was fantastic. He was super nice, took his time with zero pressure, and thoroughly explained every detail of the Bruce Wayne, including exactly how to set and use the three time zones on the GMT function. His patience and knowledge made me feel like a valued client rather than just another name on the list. The whole team at the Montgomery Mall location was professional and genuinely passionate about watches. This visit alone earns a strong 4 stars. In comes...Moren Watch Repair....these guys are fast, reliable and always do great work. I walked in and was greeted by Luis, the proprietor. I explained my issue of needing a band adjustment, got a sizing recommendation from Luis, handed over the watch and took a seat. I heard a couple of...clank...clanks...tink...tinks....Nervous!?? Heck Yeah...the watch band was really nice and let's not talk about the expensive body of the Apple Watch! But, no less than 5 minutes, I received my watch back with no scratches and the perfect fit. This is the second time visiting Moren Watch Repair. During my first visit, I brought in my favorite, vintage TAG Heuer. It was in dire need need of a face work, a new battery and tightening of a numeral position. At that time, I was about to send it off to someone in California, whom I found online and did not know, but claimed they were a specialist in TAG Heuer watches. This did not sit well with me. It was then a good friend recommended Moren, and I am so glad they did. I was able to talk to them directly about my watch issues, ask many questions, and drill them on the many nuances of a TAG Heuer. To my suprise, these guys were very knowledgeable and explained a few things even I did not know about the watch. Thus, I gave them the work. The servicing took two days. In the end, I received my watch back looking brand spanking new, working in great condition and no damage. Talk about in need of an efficient watch repair place that does the job, this place is it. The prices are not as cheap, but you get what you pay for....especially if you are looking for someone to trust with your favorite or most expensive timepieces. The owners of this shop are fantastic! Great customer service and very approachable. They are very nice, helpful, and honest. Also, they perform jewelry repairs and resell collector watch/jewelry items as well. They are patient in answering questions and give great advice. Not to mention, watching their skillfully deft hands and craftsmanship repair watches is an incredible sight to see. Watchmaking and repair is truly a rare and fading art form....due to the digital age, tech watches...yes admittedly like my Apple Watch...lol....fitbits, modern electronics and digital hand watches. It is great to see places like this are still around.
