Following a web, Angie's List and Yelp search We recently hired Sunrise Pumping to clean our septic tank. Jim, the owner answered the phone. Jim and his wife were polite and professional and were able to schedule our service in a timely manner Their son Ron arrived on time for our scheduled day. He too was not only polite and efficient, he was also patient and knowledgeable, helping make useful decisions for future care and service. This was our first experience with Sunrise Pumping. I always try to support small family operated businesses and will continue to do so. I recommend only those worthy. Sunrise Pumping prices are fair and their service from start to finish was exceptional. I highly recommend their service. Craig read more

Don came out to our house and we had already dug up our septic tank, so he was able to easily remove our lids with the appropriate tools (old septic tank built, put in when the house was originally built in 1977). He was polite and professional and even tried to help unclog a drain after emptying the septic tank. He had an audience as the children in the neighborhood were fascinated to watch the big truck and hose, and he had a big smile on his face as they all stayed a safe distance away plugging their noses! He explained everything to my dad as he was going along and answered all his questions. read more

Honest and reliable, been using this company for many years, and will continue to do so:)

Excellent company that was referred to us from our neighbor who has been a General Contractor for a long time. He wouldn't use anyone else and simply said they're "good people and do good work" and that's exactly what our experience was. The owner Jim was my first contact he walked me through the process explaining everything and set up our appt. second contact was his son Ron, great guy and he found our septic system in less than 15 minutes with his co-worker and specialist John. These guys are the real deal. They are professional, respectful, considerate and extremely knowledgeable. In addition to the great work these guys do they are affordable reasonable and didn't gouge us. We really appreciated the referral and I wanted to write this review to hopefully help someone else. Highest of recommendation! FIVE STAR read more

Ron came out to our place and did a great job! I have been ripped off in the past and this company is the opposite. Our tanks had lots of problems which he fixed at no extra charge, stayed over an hour for a normal 25 min job, no extra charge, and solved the problem we were having, of course... no extra charge. 9 yrs ago I had a new lid made, it was shot. He made three lids that will never wear out for less than the one made by Abbot 9 yrs ago. He also raised new lids for me so no more big holes. He did a great job at a fraction of the cost he should have charge. Highly recommended. read more

Sunrise Pumping Service - Septic Services Near Me - Valley Center, California

Called them and discovered Sunrise has been absorbed into McKenna Septic, so Sunrise really doesn't exist any longer. McKenna was pretty helpful, but for scheduling reasons I went with another company. read more

Always trusted Sunrise. They are reputable and have saved us money. When we sold my parents' house, we found the previous pumping company had not cleared one of the lines for years and had to replace it. Sunrise found the problem and fixed it. read more

Called Sunrise to have our septic pumped and checked. It had been 4 yrs since we've had it done. I had a different place pump it 4 years ago but chose Sunrise this time because they had the lowest price and good reviews on Yelp. I was pleased with the work John did today. My husband and I dug up the lids before he came out which saved John time and saved us money. John pumped and showed me the inside of the tanks and how the wall between the two had a hole in it. He gave me phone numbers of cement contractors that could fix it as well as his number if we wanted him to do it. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the septic system. I will call him again next time we need it pumped! Also they have a beautiful new pumping truck, so now they can take your crap away in style! read more

Quoted and charged very reasonable price. $390 for a pump. Fit in next day, called before arriving, was on time, got in, got it done, was great. John the pumper is very nice and friendly. Was very satisfied. Jim the owner great over the phone. Would definitely recommend. read more

We just bought this bank-owned property with a septic tank in unknown condition. John came and took care of it. He had to open the lids with rusted bolts. He cleaned up the very full tank for more than two hours as the septic tank was situated very far down a canyon - and unfortunately it was mid July between 1 and 3 pm in full sun (more than 95F). He did a very good job, and was very friendly all along, and personable. In addition to pumping up the tank, John gave me advise on how to take care of the septic tank as it is the first time I have one, and he checked it was working properly giving me peace of mind. John really went above and beyond for a flat rate of $390. I am very satisfied and I really recommend Sunrise Pumping Service, and John in particular. read more

John came out and had the most professionalism I've ever seen. I was extremely impressed by the level attentiveness by Sunrise Septic. I have a 5 year old and John took the time to say hi to her although I know he had a very busy day. I love the fact that this company is family owned and I would recommend them to anybody in need of their particular service. If I could I would give 10 stars!! A+ service and 2 thumbs up! read more

At my property in San Marcos over the last 13 years I have called a number of pumpers to pump my tank out. Ron is the first guy to grout the lid back on top of the tank. Ron was on-time, thorough, and completely professional. The $390 price was actually $40 less than what I paid in 2008. I will be calling Sunrise out to the house the next time the tanks are due for pumping. read more

Sue (the receptionist.. I think) has no idea what customer service means. I called because I needed their maintenance and service SOPs for a safety audit this week. She told me that they have been servicing septic tanks for 30 years and knew what they were doing. I'm sure that they know what they are doing... But that answer isn't going to please the safety auditor. When I explained that I needed a copy of their service procedures she stated that she was too busy and not interested... As if I was trying to sell her something.... HHEEELLLLLOOOOO I BUY YOUR SERVICE! She was so rude and actually hung up on me... A customer. I will make sure that we switch septic service companies and pass along my horrible experience to others that I know use them as well. read more

Unbelievable service. The team took great care of me. I would recommend them to anyone!

Great service, reasonable price, fair and honest. 10 years since ours had been pumped. $390 quoted. $390 paid. Expected and planned to be told we needed this or that...didn't happen. Super pleased! read more

Hired them to do septic inspection on a home we were buying waited two weeks for the job. They agreed to digging the lids. I was willing to pay the price on how ever long it took. They arrived with shovels and said the ground was to hard told us they can't do it. They even told my husband our tank is not to old we should be fine. Well because of their refusal/failed promise to do the work I unfortunately had no choice but to purchase the home without a septic inspection due to we had no more days left in the contingency period. Well just shortly after moving into our new home. We had a nice backup into the house causing thousands of dollars of black water damage. This placed us out of our home . My husband and I personally dug up the lids in 3 hours with picks and shovels. Finding We had a collapsed inlet to the tank which had been leaking sewage for years into the ground . To be honest this whole story smells from the beginning they came with no intentions of doing any digging or inspecting they came stuck a stick in the ground and left hmmm I wonder why? read more

We had our spetic tank pumped a few months back and we used Sunrise because the previous owner had used them. I called, set up the appointment about 10 days later. They showed up on time, dug in the yard and completed the job in about an hour. The owner stopped by while the job was being started. Everything went well. However 2 month later we had a back up on the sewer line, things started to get pretty ugly and I thought it could have something to do with the pumping job. I called the office, spoke the same lady who offered to have the owner call me back. I think John called within 30 mn and assisted over the phone to help me figure out if it was a plumbing issue or the sewer line. He was very helpful, you can tell I don't know anything about these problems but I appreciated his professionalism. I think you can trust this business. read more

These guys are the real deal. Ron was very professional and answered all my questions. I even pitched in to help dig for the lids to save some time and money. The charge was very reasonable for the amount of work done. I would highly recommend them. Also, I like that's it's a family owned business that's been around a long time - they care about the quality of work and it showed. read more

Professional and fast. Called on a Friday, late in the day and got pumped out on Moday at 10am! John pumped the tank and he really knows what he is doing. No muss, no fuss. See you in a couple years! read more

AMAZING! After calling around, I ended up with Sunrise Pumping b/c they have no hidden fees. Ron was very Professional and careful with maneuvering his truck around as we are on a hill. He educated us on how to keep our septic tank active so we don't get a failed system. :) I'll be calling them again. read more

Efficient, done in about 45 minutes, minimal smell into the house. Very nice professional service.

Had two septic tanks pumped out today on two different properties and got an inspection done on one of them. Ron and John both came out. Did a great job on tanks that were long overdue for service. Price was very fair. Answered all my questions. read more

If you need your septic tank pumped, these are the people to call. They really know their stuff! John has been with the company 16 years and was able to find the lid quickly. Jim, the owner, stopped by to make sure everything went well. There was a slight problem and it was taken care of quickly. Their price was reasonable and fair. They told me some companies give a low bid and then only pump out part of the material. These people are honest and will do a great job! read more

Had Ron ,and John out today to pump a septic tank on my property. They were both professional , and prompt . Were there when they said they would be . They completed the job and left the area cleaner than when they showed up . Also they did'nt try up-selling unnecessary services . Thank you . read more

John showed up to pump our septic. This was our first time using this company but John's professionalism and demeanor provided us with a positive feeling toward this company. It is a good thing that John represents this company so well since the female answering the telephone does not. We scheduled this appointment two weeks ago and we were provided a two hour window. However, we did not receive any kind of confirmation prior to the appointment, like a courtesy call the day before to confirm. This is a common practice in business that saves everyone time, especially the company that could send an employee out to have an absent homeowner. My wife called in the morning to confirm and was met by an unfriendly response from the female answering. It was as if we had interrupted her day. Not a great representation from a service based/ return service dependent business. John receives 5 stars. He is knowledgable and professional. I recommend this company for John's work and John's work only. If his attitude was anything like the phone response we would find another company. However, because of John we will use them again and recommend them. read more

I've been using Sunrise since I bought my house in 2001. Last time they were here, they made new covers for my two risers (which were wonderful, therefore the 2 stars) and I guess they threw some sort of chemical or dirty water on a tangerine tree that was right next to it, and the next day it shriveled up and died. I had the tree for about 5 years and it was just starting to get big and give me lots of tangerines. I had to eventually dig it up and replace it. I was horribly upset that someone could be so thoughtless. And to boot, the woman who answers the phone was rude to me about it saying the mortar water couldn't possibly kill my tree. Sorry, but a tree doesn't just shrivel up and die in 24 hours for no reason. She could have at least apologized. Others have complained about her too, so maybe it's time to hire someone new to answer phones. As a self employed person, the customer is always right even when they are wrong. And phone manners are HUGE! Time to find a new company... read more

Ron came out and was very propmt and professional. He did a good job explaining the issues we were having and gave several referrals that helped us resolve our issue. Will definitely be calling this company for our next tank service. read more

Professional and fast. Ron came out to our place and did a great job! Our tank had some problems, but he sent John out to fix them. John was very professional. I was extremely impressed by his level of attentiveness. Ron had a mishap with our old asphalt driveway (curb was torn up a little with his truck while backing in), but he brought out bags of asphalt for repairs that I'll now handle. Not a knock on Ron as it happens, but we're just trying to keep the driveway decent for as long as is possible. I was direct on the curb issue, but I was also very cool about it. I received some attitude in return as he suggested that I wanted him to redo our entire driveway. That was unnecessary and a bit disappointing, but I also understand that people have bad days. All in all, this is a family owned company of stand up guys and I would recommend them to anybody in need of their particular service. Highly recommended. read more
