I have been going to Sunrise nails in Toms River for 3 plus years now. I have never had a bad experience there. The salon is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and courteous. My nails always come out beautifully...just the way I want them! Kevin does my nails and he is a consumate professional! The pedicures are so soothing and so well done! BUT YOU WILL HAVE AN INFECTION. tools - desks- the clear shields between you and the tech are filthy. Since moving to TR 4 years ago I was fortunate enough to find this little gem tucked in the Stop and Shop plaza around the corner. Bill my technician has been doing my nails ever since. He does an outstanding job. I hate to admit it but he is even better than the woman I was going to for almost 25 years in Livingston! I only had a issue once and that was only because he was on vacation! They may be a little pricey compared to other Salon's. But hey, you get what you pay for. Sanitary, cleanliness, cautious and extremely health continues is how they roll. read more

Rude! The woman who did my pedicure was nice enough. The woman who did my set was just unfriendly and rude. Talked non stop in her native language while ignoring my questions. The place wasn't that clean. Her screen (which separates us) was dirty and looked like it wasn't cleaned in a long while.Very limited nail polish colors. I went on a Saturday which is a nice slow day in that town but just rude. There are so many other salons to choose from in the area. Don't waste your hard earned money here. read more

Stopped in for a regular manicure. No selection available of nail polishes, the tech insisted I choose a color from the board. Again, I advised I do NOT want gel polish. Given no other choice I "pick a color" as I was assured the color board was for "regular" nail polish. The tech brings out my selection in it's own little cardboard box entitled "Gel Polish". At that point I advise, yet again, I do not want gel polish, is this gel? Answer: no. They applied it as you would a regular polish, with no light to harden, but I get charged an extra $5. And of course, after a few days the polish is peeling off my nails in odd spots, obviously not regular nail polish. Gee what a surprise. Can't remove it without soaking in acetone remover, exactly what I was avoiding (weakens nails). In my opinion, outright lying to a customer is even worse than overpaying. Place is a total rip-off. One star service, but I figured up to 2 because at least the place appears clean. No intentions of returning to Sunrise Nails again. read more

Okay so I love love love Jessica here. Her manicures are always amazing. This place is always busy. The only thing I dislike is the wait. They're always busy in here!!! It doesn't matter what day or time it's always packed. So you can have a visit and might still have to wait. Other then the wait the polish selections don't always match but Jessica ALWAYS fixes it or tries to find colors as close to matching as possible. She's amazing. i've been coming here for a month ish and i love it here! the first time i went i went to #10 or #11 i forget but her was near the back. and the next time i went to kevin and kevin did an amazing job! my nails are going on to week 3 with no problem! i'm going back next week to get them done. the first time i went they lasted a week and a half kevin did a lot better job then who i originally went to. kevin did the blue nails i took a picture of. definitely recommend going to kevin! the salon itself is a little older but still the work kevin did was amazing read more

I'm new to New Jersey and can't find a good nail spot. This is the third time I've been here. The first 2 times were a good experience (regular manicure only). This time I walked in, wasn't greeted, walked around looking for nail polish, and no one said anything to me. I sat down and waited. Someone was paying, so I walked up to the register to see if I could check in. The woman left the counter and ignored me, even when I continued to hang around waiting there. Then someone else came in, and she was acknowledged. I waited a little longer and just decided to leave. I guess I'll continue my search. read more

I am always going to different nail salons to get my nails done depending on the area I happen to be in at that moment and this nail salon was by far the worst one I've ever been to. Apparently salons are now charging for coffin shaped nails, that's fine, but if I ask for coffin shape, you proceed to do them coffin and as soon as I'm supposed to pay you tell me I have to pay EXTRA!!!! Hell no! Totally unprofessional and the staff was so rude and yelled at me from across the salon because I was unaware of the extra charge for coffin. Never will I EVER go back there. Awful service. Service is horrible had to wait another customer just walked in she was told she. Could go to the back to get her pedicure done. In the mean time my niece and I have been waiting for almost 30 mins. For some reason the young man didn't notice us sitting in front of him to his right! So with that said we ended up waiting 15 more mins. We get called back to get our pedi's done. I have been here a few times in a pinch, not my go to salon. The last time I went, I had an older man who did the fill in and gel polish. I think it was his first time. Horrible job. If i could put 0 stars i would. i have been to this salon before and had a good experience the last time. Today by far the worst salon ever!! i called ahead and made an appt for 1:30 i didn't sit in someone's chair till 2:20. i sat down someone cut a coffin shape nail for me and it was fine. then she leaves and doesn't come back. then a girl that looked like she was 14 came behind and told me to move to a different seat. she proceeded to put my acrylic on. the man next to her decided to tell me all of a sudden that my COFFIN shape nails were now $5 extra dollars. sure 5$ is no big deal, unless you are unaware that you have to do that. they proceeded to make a scene in front of the entire salon yelling to me and my friend about how we should know that there's an extra fee for a coffin shape acrylic set. never will i go there again. not that their work isn't good just because of how disrespectful and rude they were. very embarrassing read more
