It is however not understandable, nor is it professional for the stylist to be defensive when communicating what she did not do as asked from a previous visit. After investing time and a fair share of appointments (enough for what I wanted and what she could do) the final blow was when once again expressing how I wanted my hair done (and the owner butting in - felt ganged up on, stay in your lane) and being told - If you don't like how I do your hair you can go somewhere else. Thanks for the advice - I did and this stylist listens to me.
