I had to update this review after my last visit. Ken and Henry (my two favorites) no longer work here. They both moved I think. This time I had my manicure done by Kia? Kya? (Don't quote me on the spelling). It was the worst manicure I've ever had. It started to peel at the base of the nail after 3 days. Normally I wouldn't be upset because maybe it was my fault, but it was because she rushed through my manicure and didn't wipe my nails clean after clipping my cuticles and filing my nails. The reason she was rushed is because they were past the point of being overbooked. One of the young girls working started almost crying saying she couldn't "do any more" when they accepted another two walk ins after they already had 4 people in the waiting area....mind you there were 9 people being serviced on top of the 6 in waiting. I won't be going back. I understand you don't want to turn customers away, but when your quality of work starts to go down hill because you are understaffed it isn't the right business decision. read more

Love love I came in with bad in grown toe nails and I was very satisfied. David was awesome he removed my in grown and massage my feet He wasn't scared and didn't cut me. Thank you Jesus I found a new mail shop. read more

It took me a long time to find the same expertise of applying pink and white nails as I had with a specific technician that retired. I went to many salons in the Appleton area and I finally found it here. They are extremely good at pink and white nails. The salon is always clean. They are always friendly to me and now know my name. The service is always thorough and quick. If I ever have an issue with my nails, they address it and rectify any concerns that I have with them. I have had pedicures and have had great results with that service too. I would highly recommend this salon if you want pink and white nails. read more

Very nice, clean nail salon. Really nice comfortable chairs. Michael took care of my mani/pedi and he did a great job. Very friendly people, nice selection of colors. They do things a little differently, instead of standing in front of a wall of colors, they have samples in a binder. Wasn't sure if I liked that at first but actually it's pretty nice. They group them together by color or type (reds, pinks, blues, neons, sparkly etc.) and you get a better idea of how it will actually look on your nails. Hate to write a negative review, but I think it's important to know that they will absolutely not refund your money no matter the circumstances and when trying to correct their mistakes-- they are unable to do so. The technician had to reapply a very simple sheer nail polish twice. After leaving and seeing the paint job in the light of day I was even more horrified. Returned 30 minutes later to ask for a refund. I did not trust them to try to correct the polish for a third time as I did have other things to do today and could not waste anymore of my time there. They said I could come back tomorrow, but I am only in town visiting and need to catch a flight back home. Yes, I am down $15 bucks, but mostly I am disappointed and frustrated at this establishments inflexibility. Please note that the technicians were very kind and wanting to accommodate, but the owner refused to budge. Or to accept responsibility for his employees' sloppy work. Good luck out there everybody! My best friend and I came in the day before her wedding for two gel manicures. We got the manicures but absolutely no customer service. Neither of of technicians talked to us at all (I know some prefer this but it was almost an awkward level of silence). Also, Bryan did not even clean out under my nails leaving me with dark marks that clearly showed through. Finally, if you're looking to get any sort of hand massage with your manicure this is not the place. Bryan literately put a ton of lotion on my hands, rub it for 3 seconds without even rubbing it in and then told me I could wipe my hands on the towel and was done. Overall, our nails got done but with so many other options in the area for the same price - I would pass on Sunrise. read more

First time client and I was a walk in, but they didn't go out of their way to make me feeling they wanted my busy again . They didn't do a great job, had a design put on and it was not to impressive. They did file on one spot to make my finger sore. read more

went here for a first time because i couldn't get into my usual place. hate to be negative, but they did a terrible job. i got sns just like i regularly do. my nails were splotchy and there was glue left on my fingers and underneath the nails. they were also cut shorter than what i had asked. the woman who did my nails was distracted and not careful of what she was doing. after i took my nails off, they were damaged and painful unlike typical sns nails. will not be returning and would recommend to find a different salon! read more

I was a fan of Sunrise and brought extra business their way. Then I needed a favor on the day of my daughter's wedding. My gold sparkle nail polish that they applied started to chip and I asked if I could take the bottle with me. All I can say is do not ask Ken or his sister a favor no matter how much you have spent in their shop. They are a receive only business. read more

Nails done for prom. Went with my daughter who was highly satisfied with the results. She brought a picture which was replicated well. I had a regular mani and it lasted about 3 days without chipping. Hers was gel and went for 2 weeks. Staff was kind. DD got a paraffin wax at the end, but this was not part of mine....likely as the nail polish would have smeared. The facility was very clean and well organized and I appreciated looking at the polish swatches rather than 320 bottles of OPI to pick my color. I will return. read more

Having moved from SE Wisconsin I was concerned about finding a good nail salon. Went to 1 place based on reviews that said the place was clean...It was FILTHY!! Found out about Sunrise through another online search based on reviews. Many specifically said that Kenny did their nails. Made an appointment for a Gel Manicure. This salon is clean, has many colors to choose from AND Kenny is fantastic. Very meticulous. Did it exactly as I wanted. Have & will continue to go back!! read more

First rule of customer service, do not comment on person's appearance. I sit down and thats the first thing out of the man's mouth. I found it very rude and almost walked out. Then proceeds to take off my acrylic nails without soaking them to make them softer- literally rips them and part of my real nail off-ouch! Then when picking out a shellac color he says I can't do a nude color and I should do something bright. The entire experience was terrible, felt very offended and like he was annoyed the entire time. I have been here twice now for gel nails. I am pretty disappointed with how they turn out and for how long they last compared to other salons. When it comes to trimming, pushing cuticles down, buffing they do OK could be better, but for gel to stick and hold up the best its best to have the client go wash there hands after that then wipe each nail with alcohol to clean the nail and make sure there isn't any dust from filing. They just brush your hands off with them brushes which leaves residue with will then make bumps under your polish. I just got my nails done Saturday with gel polish its already starting to peel off in the corners and its only been 3 days which is very unlikely I have never had that happen when getting gel done professionally. She only let my nails be under the light for 30 seconds other places they like me to do 2 one minute sessions under the light before applying the next polish. I did a French tip and the white looks lumpy. Not sure if I will go back for other services such as Pedi's since I would only get normal polish for a Pedi, but I probably will not get gel manicures there anymore. Personally its a nice salon clean, and trendy. They accept credit cards and don't fuss about it. read more
