They showed up when they said and did an awesome job. They installed the first part and had to come back when Otsego Electric could turn the power off. They installed a new entrance box. The current one was 57 years old and had problems. Hooked up the transfer box for the generator. OE came and turned the power back on. The generator works amazingly. Jon and Nate took care of contacting OE and the inspectors. Jonathan's price was better than I expected, especially having to do a new entrance box. Thank you Jonathan and Nate for a wonderful experience in getting this job done.

Did not have the right tools for the job or the ladders . I finally got up on my roof to see what had been done because I am quite old 71 to be exact and found that he had smashed my air vent across the top of the roof as I have a metal roof . He tried to use a standard ladder to get to the top which he could not reach so he laid it down and stood on to the edge in able to get a few inches so he could stretch on his tipping toes to reach the top which he never saw the top . I also witnessed with my own eyes and tried to put up that slid down my chimney which smashed on my roof with him on top of it . Now if you would have bought the correct ladders like a step ladder he would not have done such a poor job . Extremely unhappy with this contractor I would not use him again or recommend him . Which I have all pictures to verify this . When he was here I called the owner told all of my problem that I saw and he told me to just to let him go he knew how to do his job well that apparently was not the case

When my water pressure dropped, the water came out dirty and the pump to run, drawing my solar battery down, I called Barney & Sons (who'd installed the system 4 years ago). Jason and Terry arrived earlier than expected and my gate was closed. Rather than turning around and leaving, they walked 1/4 mile to the house and well. Wonderful, friendly attitudes. Jason explained the problem, replaced the switch, did the maintenance needed and I'm set for another 4 years. I'd built a cairn of rocks around the well and Terry replaced them (above and beyond the call of duty!) with great care...so sweet! (BTW...when reading the reviews I noticed that Andrew B. posted twice which, unfortunately, skews the results as he obviously knows. I've had nothing but outstanding service and repairs with B&Sons.)

He provided me with a quote that was affordable and after a couple other quotes, we decided to go with Aaron and his company. I always try to have small companies do work for me over the bigger ones. Aaron rescheduled on me 2 different times. About a month after his original promise date to start, he finally arrived and got to work. he replaced my equipment and everything worked fine for a few days and then just stopped. We couldn't figure out why it wasn't working so we called Aaron. As usual he didn't answer his phone ( that started after we gave him a deposit for the work) He finally called me back a full 24 hours after my first call. He refused to come out and look at what could be wrong. Telling me that he was too busy and booked out a few months. That I was lucky he made it out in the fist place. He told me he'd call me back in a few hours and see if he could squeeze me in. 2 days went by and no phone call from Aaron Tompkins. It'a the middle of winter, he took my money put in the equipment and wouldn't come back to rectify the issues. Fortunately, a family friend referred another company who came out and fixed the issues. It took them maybe an hour and it was up and running. Aaron finally called me back 4 days later!! I told him we had another company fix it and asked where I could send the bill to be reimbursed by him. He lost his mind after that. Yelling and swearing at me. Threatening to put a lean on my home and to pursue legal action against me for harassment because I called him 3 times in 2 days trying to get answers. When I told him that we had no heat for 4 days and he was nowhere to be found. He said, "show me in the contract where it says the equipment needs to be running" In legal terms it says is that he would provide and install equipment that would be specifically sized for me home. He was proud of the fact that he had a loophole in his contract and tried playing games to dance around it. Very dishonest person. Stay FAR AWAY from him.
