He never sent any email confirmation at any point. I was a bit concerned so I called him the week before to confirm. At that point he said, oops I don't have you in my book but I will fit you in for Wed. at 9:30 AM instead of Tues. Wed. Nov 13 came and he was a no-show. We called him back, and at that point, he lied and claimed that the appointment was supposed to be for next Wed. Nov 20. We had never agreed for him to come on the 20th and that was not what we had set up. He was quite rude, actually. Moving the goalposts because he is irresponsible. I bet he found some other work elsewhere to do so he just stood us up. We asked him why he never sent any email confirmation and his answer was that he doesn't do that. Sounds very lazy and unprofessional. The guy claims he's been doing this for over 20 years, but he sounds like a drug addict and I'm surprised anyone would use him at all.

It is hard to gauge the size from out front, but inside is huge. There is so much to see. From lamps to hanging light fixtures for every area of your house including outside. The prices are great and the staff is super helpful. Don't see what youre looking for? Anything you can imagine they will make for you. On this particular day the gentleman working the counter was one of the owners. We got to talking with him and he was nice enough to give us a tour of the factory, which is also onsite. We were amazed to find out they make most of the lighting fixtures for Chik Fil A and Panera, as well as Bass Pro or Cabelas. It was really cool to see all the local people hand making all these items from painting, to welding, and dont forget the electrical wiring! Taking this behind the scenes tour just made us love the brand even more. So many amazing things to see they had in the works. So much attention to detail. I got some ideas and needed to come home and measure current fixtures to see what I will need. I cant wait to do a bunch more business with this amazing local company in the future!

A quaint shop alone the main drag in Ballston Spa. I was a bit surprised walking in, but it was…read morealso clear this was a professional lamp repair shop. I had a lamp base that required wiring, a cap, harp and shade. Imagining it would be staggeringly expensive, particularly since this shop has no competition in the Capital Region, I was floored by how reasonable the costs were. The turnaround was a month, which factoring the need to order parts I thought was quite reasonable. Picking up the lamp I was quite pleased by how it turned out. A total win. The downside (from my personal convenience) was that it required a long round trip (twice) to get the project done. I was simply thrilled, however, to find the shop in a feasible proximity. The two times I have been there I have found parking immediately in front of the store, despite the rest of the downtown being densely packed (quite the luck since a pub is next door.) Driving in from the Northway the shop is on the other side of the street, and in light of dense and aggressive traffic finding the opportunity to turn around is challenging. This shop is a seriously nice find. Were I at a point in life where I didn't have a house packed full, I might have looked at the many antiques for sale (Very late 19th/early 20th century) I have another lamp I need to get rewired, but I think I'll wait till Spring; driving into Ballston Spa while scenic, is a bear.

David was able to help us find the same lamp but mounted directly to the ceiling. We decided to purchase the lamp. They do have a couponing the Clipper Magazine. We did not have the coupon but David said he would apply it to our purchase. I was assuming that we would need to order the lamp and it would be in the store to pick up in a few weeks. THEY HAD IT INN STOCK. We walked out with the lamp. Very happy customers. We also asked them about a reading lamp. They did not have what we were looking for but they offered to keep an eye out for what we needed. Great service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
