After I paid him his full fee, I listened to him tell me all about the grandfather clock industry. He then spent a couple hours tinkering with the grandfather clock, at the end of such time he turned palms up and said he could not fix it without a complete replacement of the inner workings (my word, not his). I asked him the cost of such a repair/replacement, and he quoted me a fee of $2,000.00. Of course, that quote was outrageous, so we parted ways. To look at his website, one would think he was competent to fix any grandfather clock that does not run. I then found another more knowledgable grandfather repairman, who fixed my grandfather clock for approximately $250.00. I intend to keep using the second repairman. Use Olde Tymes/David Morrow if you want, but I wouldn't dream of returning to him for further work on my grandfather clock. "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."

Contractor told me property had been sold, new owner would be back shortly. New owner told me property had been foreclosed, sold, and all the clocks left in bldg had been sold/picked up by "a guy from Pennsylvania". I even bought a couple clocks from their selection of vintage electric clocks. If you like vintage clocks, check it out, it's a lot more fun seeing them in person than on EBay. They're not easy to locate -- they' re quite inconspicuous, I keep driving past them even after I've visited 4+ times. If it turned out they were actually a safe house for James Bond or the entrance to a vast underground intelligence complex (for the good guys, not Dr. Evil -- they're far too nice), I wouldn't be surprised. Few people have clocks any more but if you do and you need it repaired, these are your people.

It is hard to gauge the size from out front, but inside is huge. There is so much to see. From lamps to hanging light fixtures for every area of your house including outside. On this particular day the gentleman working the counter was one of the owners. We got to talking with him and he was nice enough to give us a tour of the factory, which is also onsite. We were amazed to find out they make most of the lighting fixtures for Chik Fil A and Panera, as well as Bass Pro or Cabelas. It was really cool to see all the local people hand making all these items from painting, to welding, and dont forget the electrical wiring! Taking this behind the scenes tour just made us love the brand even more. So many amazing things to see they had in the works. So much attention to detail. I got some ideas and needed to come home and measure current fixtures to see what I will need. I cant wait to do a bunch more business with this amazing local company in the future!
